- Behold all emotions from fear to doubt to passiveness to unbelievable-ness as you watch me opening my iGCSE results on GCSE results day 2023!
For the 3 years of studying GCSEs, I was in school for less than a 1/3rd of the time, since I was usually performing the violin in different countries. I never had high expectations for myself for academics, but I did my best in the short time I was at school. However, I had huge chunks of knowledge gaps in each subject, didn’t take a single mock, and took it upon the 2 weeks before GCSE week to start properly learning and revising for my 18 GCSE papers…

How are you still so excited about success even though you've been through so many successes in your life? It's just wonderful!
Congratulations!! So happy for you regardless of fluking or not fluking. Speaking honestly you don't have to do too much past years. You will realize up to 3-4 (for me 2 papers are enough) recent past years is sufficient because the style and formatting is more or less the same and you can predict what is going to be asked. Past years are also really good at what you should focus on.
Note: I'm also like you, I didn't study much for the exam. But the only difference is you're actually busy while I'm just lazy and the only difference is you got straight A* and I got Bs and Cs.

Congratulations!! You clearly did Amazing! I'm an American can you explain what the scores mean. We don't have that exam here. I'm thinking maybe the equivalent here is the SAT .

lol when i opened my results it was a day late and i was on the toilet, opened my phone, realised it was day after results came in and then i checked xD i think it's better to just forget abt it uk, save that build up stress that like u said doesn't do anything for anyone
then again i think the build up also makes it more fun once its over because i just kinda was like... meh... even tho GCSEs are like a big milestone you know? So maybe i've got it all wrong

Live in NI and we have this great thing called modules idk yous have it and just did my first exam of my first year of GCSEs
English language is probably the easier subjects because I don't have to memorise anything

Bear in mind that several exams were in CIE, a much easier exam board in comparison to Edexcel IGCSE, but nonetheless a great achievement
