I love how the attack sounds like it's so powerful that you can only hear the effects of it like the atmosphere near it igniting and the mountain being melted in seconds
Out of all the Ramiel sound redos, I think this is my favourite. You stuck with the same basic idea of it sounding more human to give it an unnerving, otherworldly sound, but still made it sound unique and new. The perfect middle ground!! I'd love to see more sound design work from you!!
By far the best ramiel audio redesign. You make it sound completely alien and intimidating and the little delay before the shot makes it sound so much cooler
0:05 / 0:17 - I like how you can still hear the screaming. *Alright!* I actually went through a few other audio reworks, and I will now bestow you with the incredibly biased award of the *_Best Version._* All because you kept the scream in your own unique way, while all the others discard it completely for some reason, instead of trying to work it in like how you did. Like, you made that scream your own, your sound design and conceptual direction dominated. You maintained the original idea very well, that particular characteristic is still there, all in all: _10/10._
That bassy horn is honestly the most underrated sound effect used for a traveling projectile It feels like it really packs a punch and destroyed the sound barrier with how impossibly loud it is
0:20 I love the moment of silence between the scream and the actual firing of the beam. It adds so much weight, and really sells the whole “unfathomable power” dynamic, like the whole world was standing still in awe.
The scream stopping for the short period before the final release doesn't mean it stopped charging. It means the vibrations it was starting to emit were so intense it was in ultrasound which we can't hear. So freaking cool.
Just spent my 30 minute lunch break at work watching this 62 times, time well spent. You did such a good job and I know it's only 15 seconds of actual result, but it's still amazing
+ the humane scream gives it unnerving feeling + you can improve the 5 notes to whatever famous note arrangements that are known to induce horror/panic
The scream was definitely my favorite part, I might redo the sounds for the initial opening or keep the original, but the scream is RAW and I'd gladly trade it out
The rework legit sounds like something that could level a planet, and the fact that the scream sounds way more violent is so freaking awesome to me. the original was cool but didn’t sound or feel like the pack it punched with its beam. This is perfect👏👏👏
it still fails to express the time delay between the initial contact of the explosion and mountain being vaporized, and the actual audible shockwave that follows it.
Good observation. As much as I would have loved to do that, I didn't think it would translate well to viewers who aren't as familiar with realistic explosions in games and movies. I actually created a version with what I thought were realistic levels for the initial transformation sounds mixed with ambient sounds to try and get a "found footage" feeling, but I felt it didn't translate well to the medium since it's animated.
I liked the original audio but I absolutely love this rework! I prefer the old charging and scream but would keep the sound of the laser. Makes it feel sooo powerful!
I love the new sound you’ve created. The way it burns the atmosphere as the beam ignites the air before the blast. But most of all, you made it sound personal. Because by that point, Ramiel hadn’t really been hurt by the humans until that exact moment before. Taking it from, “hehe cute for trying.” To an actual, “Ok, that one hurt, my turn.”
Thank you for your kind words! It's nice to see how much detail you noticed. I put a lot of thought into what things would sound like and *why*. The air ignites because in my mind the beam is very electrical in nature and maybe it's affecting atoms near the beam in a way that causes ionization. (That might not be how any of that works, but it's the train of logic that makes it easy for me to decide how things should sound when I do re-designs. I have a full fight scene from JJK sitting on my hard drive, but Google is so cucked they won't let me upload it due to copyright.
It does sound more geometric, which fits with Ramiels design scheme, but I feel like the original mixes the geometric sound with a womans voice to sound more Angelic.
Thanks for the compliment. :-) Tl;Dr: Ramblings ahead: The big challenge I ran into with the transformation sound was how to make it sound like it was coming from a large object without making it sound too far away. Initially I did make it sound farther away and more ominous, but it was too difficult to hear details and tones. It's something I'm going to work on in the future and hopefully figure out a good method for. For now, the slightly wonky mix will at least let the details be heard.
This is honestly insane. Don’t be surprised when Studio Mappa beats your door down Edit: fell down the rabbit hole of Evangelion redesigns and quickly returned to the surface. You made this look like childsplay! Insane work
i havent even fucking WATCHED evangelion but this is singlehandedly the best sound ive heard ever and nothing will ever top the experience of watching a blue cube angel scream at a mountain and then explode
I personally think the shrieking original is better but the pause before the shot in your version was really good. I wish the original did that. I also love how your version made the ray feel even more powerful and "heavy".
I love how the attack sounds like it's so powerful that you can only hear the effects of it like the atmosphere near it igniting and the mountain being melted in seconds
So glad someone noticed the atmosphere ionizing sound effect!

I'd love to see more sound design work from you!!
Thank you so much! I treasure the original mix and didn't want to overwork it or destroy what made it so impactful.
crystal chiming and shattering would prolly sound cool mixed in.
This is brilliant. Love the scream, it sounds like it's screaming and after that just stops and farts real hard.
It’s a weirdly analogous vision of toilets after Taco Bell
This is so fucking funny to see after watching it
taco bell moment
Stage 7 taco bell and orbama
lol
Bruh it sounds even more geometric I LOVE IT!

I'm flattered. Thank you!
the problem I had to the origial was the "ray" sound effect wasn't powerful enough, this is perfect
0:21 this part is just fuckin awesome
Awesome. 0:22 ZEERAAWHHW VROWWW. Though the whole rework sounds great; that part made me smile the most.
I like the way you described the sound by word.
0:01 Original
0:13 Rework
🤓
0:21 you didn't have to make it so badass 😭😭
GAAAHHH THANK YOU
I need to know what that sound is
You mean 0:18
0:05 / 0:17 - I like how you can still hear the screaming.
*Alright!* I actually went through a few other audio reworks, and I will now bestow you with the incredibly biased award of the *_Best Version._* All because you kept the scream in your own unique way, while all the others discard it completely for some reason, instead of trying to work it in like how you did. I’m confused why anyone would take the scream out entirely?! Creative choice I guess but I Agree sounds amazing
That silence in between is just too perfect! It’s the calm before the storm, and I absolutely love it. Adds way more impact 😌
This is why I love sound design.
yeah that doubling the terror of original ramiel itself. completly terrifying and completely geometric. I LOVE IT
That bassy horn is honestly the most underrated sound effect used for a traveling projectile
It feels like it really packs a punch and destroyed the sound barrier with how impossibly loud it is
Love the reworked sound. Matches the visual so beautifully well (especially when it fires & slags the mountainside).
The pause after that second scream gives me goosebumps 🥶
This is so cool-- and the scream is even creepier in your rework imo :D
The silence after the scream is chilling
I can't say I'm sold on the shifting sounds, but my god are the screaming and firing sounds top notch.
this sound redo was surprisingly satisfying to listen to.
0:13 IT SOUNDS LIKE IT CAME FROM JOJO
Bro no ot don't shut up
Bro no it don't shut up
everything leads back to jojo.
0:20 I love the moment of silence between the scream and the actual firing of the beam. It adds so much weight, and really sells the whole “unfathomable power” dynamic, like the whole world was standing still in awe.
The reverb sound during the shot at the mountain is so good. The explosion also feels like it has so much strength. This is amazing
The wind up and the scream of the first one, but the explosion ray of the second one is what I think fits perfectly.
The scream stopping for the short period before the final release doesn't mean it stopped charging. It means the vibrations it was starting to emit were so intense it was in ultrasound which we can't hear. So freaking cool.
I loved that when it folded it both looked and now sounded more like it was charging levels of power to fire off. This was awesome!!!
Just spent my 30 minute lunch break at work watching this 62 times, time well spent. You did such a good job and I know it's only 15 seconds of actual result, but it's still amazing
STAHP YOURE GONNA MAKE ME BLUSH
@@gregs6403 sweet, another reminder to watch it again
She was so angry she didn't even aim, she just said "FUCK EVERYTHING IN THAT GENERAL DIRECTION"
"Fuck West"
They’re both great. Both is good.
Yes! My rework is in no way a shot at the original. Just having some fun.
Absolutely mind boggling 🔥🔥🔥
I'm honored and hope I did your majesty justice.
This is absolutely incredible dude, you should be proud - the otherworldliness of it really makes this so impressionable
Thank you so much!
I love the rework. She sounds so fucking pissed with the new scream, and everything else sounds to violent and punchy. Excellent work
Thank you so much!
i absolutely love the scream and the explotion !!
i still prefer the original buildup and scream, but that new explosion is otherworldly
0:22
UUUAAAGH. I love that sound, that’s just *Chefs Kiss*
That sound completely terrified me congratulations 🎊 you made the ultimate screaming angel
I love the moment of dead silence right before the release
this rework is amazing
+ the humane scream gives it unnerving feeling
+ you can improve the 5 notes to whatever famous note arrangements that are known to induce horror/panic
As much as i LOVE the original sound, this is soooo good. Wish there was more. Thanks man
I love the original too. My rework is in no way a critique of it. Glad you enjoyed.
I love how its morphing sounds almost like musical keys
Sounds like the air itself is being rended by the attack, with a sonic boom racing across the landscape. Great work.
The rework gives me goosebumps. I imagine if there a live action version movie or tv show, hearing that would make people get real quiet.
The pause after the scream sends chills up my spine, too damn good
Ramiel did scream more geometric now
Yours feels more... Organic with the crystaline structure amazing work
Thank you so much!
Original: melting mountains
Rework: The most physically imposing railgun in existence
The scream was definitely my favorite part, I might redo the sounds for the initial opening or keep the original, but the scream is RAW and I'd gladly trade it out
Super cool, this is very menacing.
Very good, I love the second waves after the first impact.
I love the silent between the Scream and the explosion
You somehow got the scream to sound more geometric. Very cool!
That was TRULY EPIC
this is so good...please make more of these!!
The rework legit sounds like something that could level a planet, and the fact that the scream sounds way more violent is so freaking awesome to me. the original was cool but didn’t sound or feel like the pack it punched with its beam. This is perfect👏👏👏
Thank you for the kind words!
My guilty pleasure is looking up these Evangelion audio redesigns. I love them so muvh
😦got…… DAAAAAAAYUM 🤯
This goes so fucking hard, tears in my eyes (from the shrapnel)

the sound of that power echoing in the rework version *chefs kiss*
The first part of the rework is lit but the shoot was better in the original, more glassy
0:08 I like the original audio of the scream and the explosion too, but the rest of the sounds you made are excellent
I liked the original audio but I absolutely love this rework! I prefer the old charging and scream but would keep the sound of the laser. Makes it feel sooo powerful!

Absolutely adore this my word.
I love it but I liked the original scream more but the rest is a masterpiece
the transformation sound has me a bit iffy on it... but the charge up and firing more than made up for it. nicely done.
Thanks for the compliment. :-)

Fucking sick.
ramiel= Star Cannon Of Death
SOOO GOOOD
This sounds amazing holy shit
I can feel the beam at 0:22 in my chest holy shit
Damn im terrified and amazed from the rework
Laser slaps hard tho
This is honestly insane. Don’t be surprised when Studio Mappa beats your door down

@@gregs6403HURRY!!! SLEEP WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!
Definitely better than the original. That was sick!!!
ohhh feck yes!!!! thats some dan good sound work!
Phase 1: *geometric noises*
Phase 2: orbital strike
Thats just nice! Awesome Work.
i havent even fucking WATCHED evangelion but this is singlehandedly the best sound ive heard ever and nothing will ever top the experience of watching a blue cube angel scream at a mountain and then explode
this sounds amazing! i think i like it more than the original
It sounds so cool!
0:07 / 0:20 In original beam starts with "ssss" sound, your version is like an explosion, which is nice.
holy shit that sounded fucking cool.
I love the scream from the original more than the rework but i love the impact from the rework more than the original
I think if you keep the shapeshifting sounds the same, but use the redesigned scream and blast, you'll have absolute peak on your hands.
Old scream sounds more "cosmic horror like" but all the sounds other than scream is really impactful especially the delayed impacts
Old scream with reworked cannon effect 💥
This is the coolest shit ever. Hell yah.
I felt that.
shattering
Congrats, youve made a WOTW Tripod Heatray noise
beautiful
Imagine hearing this while the city next to you is wiped out
Esta muy bien echo trae ese sonido de medio antes de la explosión que te hace sentir como si fuera un arma que solo un ángel usaria
¡Gracias! ¡Mi objetivo era exactamente ese!
I personally think the shrieking original is better but the pause before the shot in your version was really good. I wish the original did that. I also love how your version made the ray feel even more powerful and "heavy".
i like the new sound
I like the original explosion more, but I think your version of the scream is lit!
YES
Even more *ANGRY GEOMETRY SOUNDS*
