    It must be hard when you guys got back home and facing a different reality, compared to bike packing journey in Asia..
    The info you have given us and the way Asian people live and their generosity, is truly unique and I wish the whole world was like this, it's a big shame that it's not, but from you Tristan and Belen you have opened the world to us, and that they are truly respected for who they are ... thank you guys really appreciate it .. ❤❤👍

    Wonderful film of your journey. Very well shot and lovely stills photographs. Something you will look back on with pride when you are older and to show your grand kids. These are the magical places we went to when we were much younger.

    Love all your videos! I am watching them back to back in the smart TV...better than any silly TV series!! So interesting ...I worked in Afghanistan for four years mostly in Kabul but I have traveled around the country a little and met many wonderful people! From the neighboring countries...your adventures
    On the bike are incredible!!

    So Very Excellent! Aptly shows that bicycle touring is a lot more than just pushing on the pedals, or chewing up miles. Its the people, the places, the cultures and customs. Mostly it is the memories. Thank You

    I'm also travelling on my bike and I know how much effort it takes to capture quality content, but your is awesome, it looks so professional. Thank you for sharing your experience about these regions, it is very helpful for people like me - who haven't ever been to Asia and plan to go in this direction soon. Wish you great touring, always with tailwind! Can't wait to see more vids :)

    10:07I wonder if you had any scary encounter with snakes, scorpion, spider, etc while camping 😬
    If you had what did you do ?

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  Год назад

      Luckily no encounters with any critters. I always think that they're inclined to be much more afraid of us than we are of them... so I'd just get out of their way if I'd had any encounters :)

    What camera did you use at the later part of the video? Nice work!

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  3 года назад

      This series was shot on a Canon M5 with a 22mm lens, which was a nice and light setup for Central Asia. If I may put in a recommendation though, I wouldn’t go back to that camera ever again since I’ve been so happy with the 4K footage from my Olympus E-M5 mark III… if you’re looking for a good video camera, choose the latter.

    Wederom, mooi gedaan. Hoe lang zijn jullie onderweg geweest op de pamir route?

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  5 лет назад

      We zijn 1 maand in Kyrgyzië geweest, en ook een maand in Tajikistan. Kyrgyzië is meer tijd waard, maar na een maand Tajikistan waren we best moe en klaar om terug naar Nederland te gaan. Al dat stof en de hitte doet wat met je!

    Hi, I’m from Malaysia, planning to cycle Pamir highway this summer from Dushanbe to Osh. Can you advise us if there is any exit point for the ride, like any bus that we can take if one of us is unable to ride the whole way? Thanks

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  5 лет назад

      Hey Ian, you probably can't count on any of what I'll say here since there's pretty much no public transport in Tajikistan. Your only go is (paid) hitchhiking, since the old days of tourism are over and Tajik have realised they can make a couple of dollars off of stuck cyclists. The other option would be to find a jeep tour that takes you somewhere along the route. Might cost you up to $120 though!

    Hi Tristan, what fuel have you been using on you MSR

    • @tristanbogaard
      @tristanbogaard  5 лет назад +1

      Hey Phil - the Whisperlite we use has different attachments. We use a low grade petrol or white gas canister, depending on the weather and camping situation. Petrol heats faster but is filthy. White gas heats slowly, is expensive and has you running through Aluminum canisters (not sure if they are recycled since I haven't seen anyone (including gas stations) collecting them).
