One of the few times in any point of any existence IN ANY MEDIA....that Dante is completely caught off guard.
Our little boating adventure brings us to Mallet Island, and Dante appears to just barely starting his little adventure here before everyone meets him. Saya and Unknown crash the party not too long afterwards with....Vergil/Nelo/Nero Angelo (he hits like a tank).
But then from the same door that Dante and Nelo Angelo comes......Vergil....Dante's mind just got punch by an angry sun.

@@jotarojoestar3533 Nah, I’m pretty sure Vergil figured out Vergil was Vergil’s future self all along since Vergil already knew Vergil’s brother was from the future and they both knew Vergil and Vergil’s brother’s father was dead.

Fun fact: This map is the EXACT SAME AREA where Dante fought against Nelo Angelo for the first time in the first DMC :)
The scene before that with the mirror is also a recreation of the same scene in the first DMC, right before the first boss fight against Nelo Angelo!
I know this is a year old but the Nelo Angelo theme also plays at certain times such as at 4:27 and 10:24
What really disturbs me is the fact that technically this takes place during DMC1 mission 4 (Black Knight) but in one of his interections with Captain Commando Dante references Ifrit (saying that he should have brought it with him) which he would obtain much later in mission 9 (New Strengh) so it's very contradictory. 😅

@@virhilios3789This is the PxZ universe (I tend to call it the Crossdimension), the events aren’t always 100% to the original individual games or their events.

I have to say, they make Dante's character consistent to DMC1: cocky and laid-back, but not show-offy and can be seriously well-meaning.

You should read the novels, he acts and talks pretty normal although reserved and serious, when he doesn't chase power that is.

@@phoenixangel5073 Any recommended novels for that? I just barely got into the DMC franchise, and already am going crazy trying to find something decent to read. Sucked when I found “Visions of V” was only available online with translations, I was going to jump and buy the manga.
Do you have any books you recommend? I don’t mind going online for them, but I’d honestly like to support the writers and not just read free fan translations.

I don't know why I never looked into this game it looks pretty legendary.
It's one of my personal favorite 3ds games.
If you can adjust to some REALLY LONG fights, I think you'll like the game. At the very least, the game's got some really good writing and scenarios.
I assume this is post DMC3 Dante before DMC1 , but oddly enough he got access to Sparda DT without Force Edge. And Dante doesn't know who Nelo Angelo is.
It's not before DMC1, it takes place during DMC1's mission 4. The problem is that it's full of inconsistences and conflicts the game saga like:
- It's DMC1 Dante but it weilds Rebellion instead of Alastor.
- It's DMC1 Dante but his DT is his Sparda form from 1 but with the playstyle of his alternate costume in 3.
- It's DMC1 Dante but he makes a direct reference to his DA Ifrit (saying that he should have brought it with him) when he doesn't get it until DMC1 mission 9 and PXZ2 takes place during DMC1 mission 4.
Although points 2 and 3 are understable due the fact that they already had Dante's sprite for PXZ and they didn't bother chaging it due to those small details but...
The worst of all this is the fact that everything was supervised by Capcom...

@@ryanwilliam3140 To be fair, apparently Vergil literally never matured from his childhood self after his trauma, and he’s only now (DMC 5, but was shown in manga “Visions of V”) moving past that stance.
So people finding Dante more emotionally mature than Vergil isn’t surprising, since Dante at games prior learned to process his grief, and accept his half demon nature. Vergil never did before V.

@@gamechanger8908 i wonder why DMC games never got Japanese dub to DMC4. Since games have a anime look to it make sense have Japanese dub but it never did and to DMC4 was first game have a Japanese dub. Capcom logic never make sense.
@@snknero9935 It's because the characters are not Japanese, and most of the elements in DMC games gave a more gothic style, also Dante was originally meant to be a British cool dude wearing a trench coat who does not smoke and rarely cusses. Now Dante's nationality is up to speculation

Or rather, while it was happening/about to happen. Dante's first fight with Nelo/Nero Angelo was in chapter 4 of DMC1.

It's an ironic named level for Dante and Vergil. Their family is neither big, nor happy.
Vergil and Dante's mother, Eva, was killed by demons in front of them, driving Vergil mad
They never met their father, Sparda, because he was imprisoned in the Demon World and will continue imprisoned for all eternity.
Dante and Vergil wanted the other's head
Vergil fell into the demon world, fought the demon who shackled Sparda, lost, got corrupted and became Nelo Angelo. Afterwards, he was killed by Dante.
So, basically, this family has only one blood member left: Dante.
unless you're talking about the non-canonical reboot, Sparda isn't confirmed imprisoned, or dead, or even alive for that matter. The only thing people know about him is that he "disappeared one day." Everything about his current whereabouts is one big giant unknown. Personally I'd prefer him dead. There's no way him returning could ever live up to the hype around the guy.
If I said imprisoned, then yes, I am wrong. But he is confirmed dead.
