I had my dogo argentino named Jack for ten years. He was the best loving and loyal dog, obedient, tender, protective with my boys. We will miss him for ever. He was the best, incapable of doing us harm. The absolute best dog, never another.

SO youre done with dogs forever or just dogos? How would you know if another dog in the future is/was the best dog if you never had anything new to compare to?
I really like everything about the dog and am interested in purchasing a male some time down the road and I will be looking for a pure dogo! And i will be looking for some one to lead me in the right direction
I love all these things ur talking about bc I’m the alpha in my home as a single mom and my girl recognizes this at all times ! She’s very protective and follows me around 24/7
Hi! I'm from Argentina and my uncle used to breed Dogos, they do tend to be extremely protective especially of children, yours seems to be very good trained tho! Never stop training them, I used to have a female and she was a very lovely girl but if someone she didn't knew touched me she would go crazy, never could trained that out of her

Loved the video very accurate. I had a Dogo 15 years ago. He passed at 9 yrs old :( was my best dog ever. Finally I had to get another one. I got mine a month ago he’s almost 4 months old now. I waiting a long time to have his bloodline from Russia. A famous Dogo called Franky the Dogo. I got his grandson here in Canada. Absolutely majestic creatures and loyal to the bone. I do not recommend this breed to anyone who doesn’t have the time to give. They require enormous amounts of love but if u give it to them they will be the most loving best friend ever. Extremely affectionate.
We rescued a dogo runt. He was 6 weeks and 3.3 pounds. Owner didn't think he would survive. He just turned 12-13 weeks and 24 pounds :)

I have had two in my lifetime and THEY ARE THE BEST FAMILY DOGS .WE HAVE TWO BOYS 2YRS APART AND EACH SON GOT A PUPPY AT 3 YRS OLD AND THEY WERE THE BEST FAMILY PET EVER!!!! LOVE THE DOGO BREED.. NOT FOR EVERYONE LOTS OF TRAINING FOR A SUCCESSFUL LIFE WITH A DOGO.. BEST DOGS EVER..

man i can relate in every single way with this..11mnth now . I thought i had american bully classic cross old english.this is what i was told when i got him at 3 or 4 mnth. i have only just heard someone with an identical dog say he thinks his is dogo x bully.. i looked and boom. i definitely have a bully cross dogo 100% i found and realised this only today. every single trait without exception is identical. amazing to realise this. he has already protected me with potential threat when 2 hoodies got out of car at same time as i crossed the road towards us at 2am very suspect. they turned off then followed and again he let them know..they turned and got back in their car. that was dodgy and he sensed it 1st 100%. absolute beauty ,lovely temperament and excellent with other dogs small and large. he loves his van tyre he found and helped me carry home ALL THE WAY without letting go. training is going really well except when he sees footballs and other dogs. i guess this is the prey drive aspect. same with being my shadow.wants me to be there in garden to watch andguide his playing on tyre. absolute joy to have and he just wants to play and go out.he gets me out upto 3 times a day. it benifits me asmuch as him. dogo need bit more excersize i hear so my thinking ,believing he was bully cross english was about an hour a day .he gets more anyway but when i realised he is dogo maybe a cross bully(more dogo) that doubled to 2 hours lol. not a problem as its a real bonus..one lucky and carefull and appreciative owner here thats for sure. couldnt ask for more.happily plays with rottwieller st bernard, dutch shepard and husky. i will always ask dog walkers if they ok to meet each other to socialise and respect their replies either way.cannot let off leash in public but at night sure he gets a good run that way and in the dog parks..brilliant dog!!!!
Excellent info... just got a Rottweiler Dogo mix and I'm blown away how smart, loving, and very velvety soft...I used to breed APBT'S in the 90's...I currently have a beautiful Red nose female rescue... literally conformotionaly perfect and of course she's spayed...also have a male pit mix and he's awesome...my Rottweiler Dogo pup is unbelievable... she's got so much personality and she's a gorgeous specimen of a canine... she's also brindle with white trim on her feet and chest...the Mastiff that's in both the Rott and Dogo makes them throw brindle pups and they're unbelievably beautiful...I'm so enamored with her im going to start breeding Rottweilers, Dogos,Red nose pits, and Belgian Mallinois...I'm also creating my own personal custom breed...sorry can't give you the recipe... 😎 I like this, man. Help me. I have a young year-and-a-half old female Dogo in my care as an emergency foster. She's been with me for about a week and a half. When she got dropped on the pavement she wouldn't move a week and a half later I've had her meet over a hundred people, and 100 dogs..... She's only been awesome with all. 🐶

I have a female (8months old-born in june 2020) .. first time mastiff owner.. I must say shez absolutely amazing. My mom is 60 & dad around 70 can handle her well.. although heavy. I don't find her stubborn at all...! she was amazingly responsive since day 1. I will have only dogos from now on..!

Not true, one dogo from a Chinese guy channel barks non stop when the dogo is noisy. But the dogo is locked in cage most of the time.

@@BeachBoi1000 that's a shame. A true dogo with good bloodline from a trustworthy breeder is a real treasure. I couldn't ask for a better breed than the DA. They are the most loyal, fearless and affectionate and something about them that makes me differ them from the rest, something really confident and bold

Yep exactly how i found out about the breed. Ive fostered many pitbulls. Still have one. I love my pitbulls. But this dogo is amazing
My Dogos sleep all day and night. I find Dogos very chill. My parents fell in love with mine so they have their own now. My Dogos bark very loudly but rare, thankfully. They know when to bark. My female Dogo is not stubborn, but my male Dogo can be very stubborn. They are great family pets. We don't use ours for hunting either, but they do have a strong prey drive.
My dogo is almost 3...I agree with all even small bladder. Mine is uncut so that's extra derpy I'm 5'3 and the prong collar was my last choice but it works
We have the chance to get a pup at 6 or 8 weeks, whichever they decide. We're getting toward 50ish, and aren't very active people. We do have a good sized fenced yard. The other thing we have is Miracle. She's a 2yo Pit Bully. Half pit half American bully, and she's avg 55 pounds. She's not low energy lol and I can tell she's depressed. She wants to do more than we do, and I feel like she's lonely. She looks pretty much like a teacup dogo lol. She's a solid slab of pure muscle! I've had shepherds, and huskys twice her size or more, but she is by a mile the strongest dog I've ever had. I've made mistakes, didn't socialize her with other dogs early. She doesn't do too well with other animals, and does TOO well with people I think. She assails people when they come in, to the point of me having to take her out of the room. She's a lot like your dog, as your describing yours. The codependency is an issue. She used to get incredibly jealous of my wife, but has since gotten past that, but when I leave the house, my wife says she just cries and runs from window to window looking for me. Anyway, we can get a baby dogo, and I'm strongly considering getting one. My hope is that when we bring puppy home, Miracle will bond with it. My hope is since this is a baby, and won't be totally self sufficient, her motherly instincts will kick in, and they'll become great friends. When Miracle goes outside, if I'm in the yard too, she'll go and explore, play, and have a good time. When I put her out and I go back in, she just sits at the gate waiting on me. I hope a pup will help this. Your description of your dog, is stunningly similar to the way I describe Miracle, and I am a FIRM believer in "there's no bad dog, there's bad caregivers". And the clumsiness will go away buddy. Miracle's got a trick I taught her where I swing her rope from side to side, and she jumps to catch it. While in the air, she does a full 360, front to back, and once in a while she'll also cartwheel depending on how high she's jumping. Another one she does is run up the wall and kick off to grab the rope. She runs up 4 or 5 steps before kicking off and spinning in the air. BUT, she couldn't always master going up and down the steps at 7 months lol now she can climb a ladder.
Feed my dogo a raw food, and joint supplements and fish oil in my personal opinion is the best thing I have ever done for my dogo. My dogo grew up with my boys. I dont hunt either. We put our dogo daily exercise walking on treadmill 30 to 45m a day.
Dogo Argentina is just lovely amazing creature. Loving, gentle yet protective and look majestically handsome. Take care of your. Regard from another dogo parent.

The Dogo Argentino is the most beautiful dog in my eyes. The Dogo is very aggressive and can take a puma pretty fast.

So true . Our Dogo was sweet towards other dogs . But one unfortunate time at the dog park he defended himself and therefore No More Dog Parks.

Mine is now 7 months 89 pounds. I too saw a documentary about 17 years ago. Finally got one. I named his "Drogon-Alexander". That's his first name. Its like "A Tribe Called Quest", or "A Pimp Name Slick Back", you gotta say the whole thing. LOL

The perfect owner right here...a dog is only dangerous in the hands of a dangerous owner. This is my favourite breed by far but unfortunately its unfairly banned in my country. You're such a lucky guy and he's lucky to have an owner like you.

I miss my boy Ozzie everyday. He followed me around too :) Such amazing dogs. Don't ever get this dog if you are in an apartment. Bad advise by the RUclipsr. These dogs need room and need to be walked a lot. Also my Dogo was good with other dogs outside the house but did get aggressive toward other dogs as he got over 1 year of age.

He Is almost 6 months, the most intelligent, sweet, protective, dog I’ve ever worked with. I am an experienced dog owner and would not recommend this breed to an unexperienced large dog owner. When you own a dog that’s powerful, you have to set the boundaries at a young age, be powerful enough to control them, and have time to work with them. My daughter can walk him around the yard now without being pulled over, due to training of course. They snuggled together on his bed, when he’s ready to eat he brings his food bowl to me, he knows how to sit, stay, ring the doorbell. He isn’t that clumsy stage which is hilarious, it’s nice to see someone talking about the bread: I just hope that owning a dogo does not become a trend, due to this year size and power. I would hate for them to get a bad name. Thank you for your videos

Lol I’m going through it with my 6 month female and the bladder issues. I literally walk her 9x a day or more because of the pee issues but she is getting better as time goes on. I’ve never had this issue with previous breeds but she is by far the best dog I’ve ever owned.
Hahaha i feel what you saying , mine is 3 months now, it is crazy how much they pee 6-7 times after waking up, it is getting better as you said day by day but i still clean 3 or 4 times a day

We may retire in Argentina. We have had Dobies, Pitties, Rotties, Cane Corsos over the decades. Dogos really interest me. We are currently living in Guatemala with 2 seventeen year old dogs. We will likely head to Argentina when they pass. So, we may look into getting a Dogo. Almost all of our dogs have been rescues n strays. I am wondering what it is like to find a good rescue dog….we try to help give dogs a good home that need one. We don’t want to breed them.
I watched a couple great videos recently. One thing they pointed out was a huge difference between the heavier Dogos that are show dogs and the sleek ripped dogs that are sporting dogs. And their temperaments seemed different as well.
I am into strength training and I walk A LOT, so may be a great match.

I got a working line lol im exhausted but i know the hard work will pay off ,i have my family training him with me too but hes always followed me around also hes about 8 months now and hes starting to know when hes inside to calm down a little more and that outside is for playing and running, these dogos are runners though they love it and when i walk him his nose is stuck to the floor going crazy 😂 pulling me but like you I'll do a couple pops on the leash for him to calm down , hes pulling pretty good also, great dogs
My ten week old sits, stays (up to 15 secs), lays down and leaves it (treats) on command. He does have an issue peeing literally five minutes after drinking water regardless of how often I walk him but he’s still really young. So far it’s a lot of work (any training done right is) but he’s literally the smartest puppy I’ve ever had.

I have a Doggo as well. Everything you said is exactly my dog. I will say my dog does drool only in the car. I will say that we trained our dog and he is 1 and he can hold his pee pretty good. Haven’t had a problem since about 4-5 months.
You mention you feed half kibble half raw, what do you use for his raw food? We really want him to be in the half kibble half raw diet.
What breeder did you purchase Shilo from? Absolutely beautiful. I’ve been looking for one but good breeders seem to be scarce since they are so rare still

Sit stay. And walk away. I do that with my pitty. She loves it. Shes focused on me only. Then i yell here. And shes off like a bullet.
I love prong collars. Especially for high pret drive dogs. Once they get used to the prong. They never even test it. But honestly the prong is my last line of defense if a unleashed dog comes up to mine. Most time i invert the tangs... And she walks great
Yep that's half my girl, dogo an black lab. I also thought she was half pit, but no she's half dogo, loves to be predatory which I don't like. Or let her. Also imagine trying to walk or run my dog, very wilful an the black lab part constantly sniffing, so we spend half our days fighting ea other... she sheds just like this dude is saying. Super aggressive imagine a female marking every scent she comes across, so she pees about 8 times a walk, drives me nuts when I take her for a 25 min jog. She can run faster than a bear, an I've never seen a more protective dog, the house the car, an especially me. This guys nailing it
Once a week seems excessive. The breeders I know do not suggest that because they have a protective layer under their coats that could be damaged. This layer helps regulate body temp, enhances immunity against disease and viruses and also provides uv protection. Please talk to your vet. I'm curious what the vet would say.

Get him trained professionally to protect and learn by commands. If I can't pay for a training there's no way I get a Dogo. My kids are paying for the dog and my boyfriend is paying for K9 training and obedience training. The Dogo can be trained to protect, obedience, and as the treatment dog. That's when the dog get expensive.
Are you against neutering a Dogo? I'm only asking because I have Dogo that's about 3 month's old and have heard about early neutering or neutering before 2 years of age may be linked to hip dysplasia. But I also heard it's good to have them neutered sometime in the future for there temperament. However, I'm a little apprehensive now that I know about the link to hip dysplasia and early neutering. I'd like to hear your take on this? Big thanks for the video and you also have a good looking dog. Thank you again in advance.

I have a doggo and he’s not pure breed but the mf is huge and has most of the white mane his teeth are box shaped and he’s pretty tough and muscular I recommend getting one for hunting or a guard dog
My Son and I both have a Dogo Mix He took the Male and I got the Female. Their about 3/4 the size of a real dogo. They are both white with a couple of tan spots, both have the straight front teeth.The most loving dogs I have ever had. Both will be 10 years old next week.

Hey I am thinking of getting a dogo from a shelter is about 6 months old, he knows the basics commands. What do you say? Is still young to train him?
Did you get it? There is an 8 month old Male Dogo in my local shelter. I have been walking him and think he has great potential. He is affectionate and manageable on the lead. Pretty sure I want to adopt him as my staffy passed away last August and I am ready for a new dog. He is already massive though, so I want to try him at home first and make sure I can assert my dominance over him easily enough. Slightly intimidating prospect, but he is still very puppy like, even though he is the size of a small horse haha.

Why do you have a choke chain ?
Never barks so when she does there is a coyote or something out there. If she barks you have to check because there is something out there. She doesn’t just preemptive bark ever.
