It's unfortunate that Robertson couldn't curb his drinking a bit. When you get tossed out of Motorhead for alcohol abuse, you've definitely got a problem. A few more albums with Robertson could have produced many classic songs.
@@funzjag I agree. Funny you mention that. Gary Moore refused to play guitar for ozzy for similar reasons after being offered the gig. How nuts is that. I don't think the world would have been ready for that level of awesomeness!
Simply awesome! My first gig at the Hammersmith Odeon in '83 aged 15. They blew my head off🤪 Loved 'em then and still do, whatever the lineup. Miss 'em all.
Me, personally, THE LOUDER, THE BETTER. THIS IS BRILLIANT. Loved it at the time on the B side of the 12 inch, ( sounds rude) single. Hated by the punters at the time who thought Hoochie was done in the studio and dubbed to sound live. Just listen and like this track for what it is and enjoy it. Forget about Robbo on stage with his dancing attire and just listen to him play. I swear they they played Hoochie on stage at Hackney Speedway, yeah, the quiet version. snd Spider were good
I used to have this single, I think with shine on the front. It was just a picture of Lemmy on the cover. It was a British import in the states. i love this cover of hoochie coochie man
I actually bought the Live at Manchester Apollo just by sheer luck. I wanted to buy it as soon as I heard about it's release on a weekend in Wildwood, NJ on a peir music store I actually found a new copy in 1995 I was like OMG! It was $25 worth it numbered and all. This is a masterpiece.
Actually, it's also the general feeling of each song. Hoochie Coochie Man is baddass, while You Better Run is baddass - in a different way. :P I can tell the difference - it's in the sound! I can't stop feeling those two incredible bass lines... or one... or whatever! 3:)
the differences between (Im Your) Hoochie Coochie Man (motorhead's version) and you better run is....the lyrics, and the solo from (Im Your) Hoochie Coochie Man
and the ballet shoes he wore on occasions were a winner too along with the black 't-bag' style vest. Funny really, worst dressed but best guitar player Motorhead have had technically. Always loved APD. Merry Christmas you bastards!!
Belter of a song..Robbo chainsawing his was thru it..If you want to see the beginnings of heavy metal bass comedy..have a swatch at my site www.
Brian Robertson from Thin Lizzy killin it! Amazing guitar solos throughout

Without a doubt. This whole record is great with him on it. His playing fit with motorhead so good.
@@funzjag I read that he refused to play Motörheads classics, and wore unique clothings on stage making him rather unrelatable for the fans
When Blues and electricity collide then you just can't help it but fall in love
One of my favourite Motörhead albums
I really wish they had covered more Blues classics like this. You can hear blues influence in a lot of their songs.
Motorhead are Gods of rock'n roll
MOTORHEAD are God's
My favourite motorhead period.1978-1988.

Was there as well, great gig.
Electric blues with a vengeance
Motörhead doing root blues. That's all I need. Thanx. I can die now.
I L-O-V-Ed this b-side since it came out, Robbo rocks!

Well said. If it’s too loud, you’re too old!

This song was pivotal in my journey of learning to play guitar 🤘

Emerald live in 1976 is the best solo he ever made by far! Nothing touches that.
great intro from Robbo..........but I can't lose the image of pink satin shorts....

Font forget the hot pink headband and daisey dukes
I read that he did that on purpose because he didn't want to be in Motorhead permanently, and wanted to stand out, or something like that
@@StephenBaxter101 who? Lemmy? 😆
@@randylejeune yup - a sight to behold no doubt and one that has scarred Scott Ian permanently 😁
slapperham1 no Brian robertson
@hailemmy
Total Classic for any true Hard Rock/Metal fan!!!
This is so GOOD omg
That's sound good like it!!!
Best Motorhead live track with Brian Robertson.
I remember strumming and figuring out the 1st 3 notes of the song while Drunk...=D
nice! Those first 3 are epic
Bulldozer blues.
What's not to like?
I LOVE THIS SONG
good muddy waters cover, well done
haha, good one (this album is from 1983, Annihilator started back in 1984 and had their first demo out in 1985)
Świetna wersja...

Qual o nome do CD é official?
Olhei no CD "Another Perfect Day " Não consta essa faixa "Hoochie Coochie"
essa musica e do another perfect day , so que e uma faixa bonus
Lado B do single Shine
Is there any crew powerful than MOTORHEAD? Sure not and you know it.....
was this version the b side of i got mine ?
Shine ep
So this is a cover then right?
Umm then Lemmy writes a song quite similar called you better run in 1992 so isn't that kind off ripping off this song??

lol, Robbo's guitar playing will cancel out that fault. As i will cancel out a thumbs down with a thumbs up for that funny comment.
