I’m African American Female age 56 years old. But when I was 8 years old. Me and my Family, we when up ! North to Mackenac Island . A camping trip. My Father use to work for Great Lakes Steel . He borrowed one his Co workers Camping Trailor . We had a very Good Experience on our Vacation. For a whole week . We ended up ! Going to a Resort for part of the Vacation. Because my Mother , didn’t really like that Camping outdoors part . We ended up ! Going on this real big boat . And ended up ! Going to the Indian Mackanic Resort . It was a long time to cross the Bridge. About say a hour and a half WOW !!! And the winds are very high. Whenever you ! Ride and Cross over this Bridge. It was a very Good Experience. And the Island is So Beautiful.

Women love to denigrate men for just about anything, but I'm amazed at the things men have done to build this republic of the United States of America into what it is today.
How casually those workers walked across the girders & scooted from segment to segment without much to keep them safe. No fear.

also while the vast majority of those who worked on the bridge's construction were men, there were also women involved in the construction.
