Bro the fact that 7 years later the community is still alive really goes to show how amazing of a game this was (and still is). Clearly left an impact on games. also theres this quick secret i found, if your doing a neutral/pacifist run (you have to hang out with papyrus to get his number) and in a specific place in hotland, he would say "oh your near core?" and if you try to call him back he would just say "..." with his sad face
I swear, Papyrus is not how he seems, he can literally see the room you’re in when you’re calling him, AND THE PHONE IS SO OLD UNTIL ALPHYS UPGRADES IT! THERE IS NO WAY IT WOULD HAVE A CAMERA!

Probably a stretch but i have a theory that his "experiment" was the Deltarune Universe. He created this so monsters could happily live in the overworld. This would make sense because the goal of the scientist of the underground was to find a way to get out and restore peace. The "darkness" he's referring to may be the dark fountains spreading throughout the earth leading to the Dark Worlds

Regarding Room 264, Entry Number 17 is a missing lab entry in the True Lab during the True Pacifist Ending. While I haven't been big on the Undertale Story/Lore for years and years now, I believe the entry was originally going to be accessible to the player, as you'll notice in the video, the room does not cause a game crash like most rooms would.
It is an actual room in the game's memory but goes unused.
I also think that the "You two"part of Gasters speech in room 264 means that Sans and Papyrus. And if you talk to the shopkeeper About the town, she says that the skelebros just "appeared" one day. MAYBE just MAYBE Sans and Papyrus just "appeared" Because when Gaster Shattered across time and space small remnants of him remained. The skelebros COULD be those "Remnants". Sans also mentions that He "gave up trying to go back a long time ago" And "getting to the surface doesn't really appeal anymore" That could because he came from a different timeline. Gasters timeline. Also in true lab, some text appears to be all lowercase, like Sans's font. That could imply that since sans may be gaster, he could be working with alphys on his "experiment". Also also if you beat sans twice he will give you a key to his room. If you do in a secret place there you will find a lab with blueprints on the floor. Could these be blueprints for the strange machine in true lab? Also Also ALSO there is a drawing on the wall, if you interact with it, it says "It is three figures you have not seen before" MAYBE This is Sans, Papyrus, and Gaster. MAYBE...

In the first Gaster secret, when you type Gaster's name and it resets the game, it's kinda like how Gaster was deleted in the timeline, like it was reset.
There’s something both very poetic and ominous about a scientist falling into his own creation. Both literally and as a metaphor for devolving into insanity
For some reason, every time I see a video with Monster Kid Goner saying "But it's not raining." I get reminded of the song that plays when you're having dinner with Sans, which is called "It's Raining Somewhere Else"

Wow! Nice thinking! Its like Sans remembers Gaster and how he is erased from time. I think Sans also has some level of determination, because determination has the power to change your fate and mess with timelines and stuff. I think that's why he has some knowledge of what Frisk does outside of the current timeline and maybe of Gaster. Sans having some level of determination may also kinda explain why he bleeds. Determination is high in humans right? Determination also can change you physically (Gasters strange melted like appearance)(the amalgamates)(transforming when you have enough human souls). I think Sans having a small amount of determination changed his physical properties and he bleeds now. Also notice how Undyne transforms. I think this is also because of determination. Undyne also kinda melts when she dies and looked like an amalgamate. She also had a shining eye. Sans also had a shining eye. Both were the left eye. Just something I noticed. It might be something to do with determination levels.

He never fell into the core. Another creation he made is the one that truly split him apart. He was experimenting with human Determination, and he fell into what he calls the “Determination Extractor”. It split him into hundreds of millions of pieces, instead of melting him like it did to the Amalgamates.

i have a theory on 14:00 that that room "Wing Ding Gaster" may be in is a void across time and space when in our eyes It's just a small room but in gasters eyes its an infinite void that helped him find the truth about undertale and once merg interacted with him he was finally free. Btw sans and gaster are the only ones who can teleport (apart from the gaster followers) so there may be a connection there. It's a cool theory and i haven't done something like this in a long time Lol but that's my thoughts about Sans,Wing Ding Gaster and the gaster followers.

Sans and Gaster definitely have a connection since Sans' attacks are called "Gaster Blasters" meaning maybe Gaster made them and gave them to Sans and goner kid says "An umbrella? But it's not raining." And one of sans' themes is called "It's raining somewhere else"

One time I was lucky enough that on my first play through I saw one of the Gaster followers , specifically the one on left floor 3. At the time I was a mere child , so I got no sleep that night. The whole encounter was so eerie
10:13 actually all three of these guys you can meet across the game. The “I have a piece of him right here” guy is colored in earlier on at the spider bake sale before the muffet fight. And if u go back he’s STILL there. So he must have like a secret twin that kept being killed by Flowey so he lost his existence, this type of thing is revealed in the Asriel fight at the end of true pacifist. If a being with determination/resets kills a creature enough times across each reset then they slowly become more devoid and not existent across the fun values. Goner Kid is a perfect example of this. He’s a variant of Monster Kid. Flowey killed him SO many times that he literally only existed in ONE fun value! Just like Gaster who only appears in one secret room in one fun value!! Oh a fun value is basically a random value that gets assigned every reset to you from 1-100. To spice things up a lil bit every time you play. So there’s a 1 in a thousand chance you find Goner Kid or Gaster himself on your first play through, and it could get exponentially higher the more you play. Cool!

using just the information in this video, it sounds like such an unfortunate tragedy. An experiment gone wrong which causes you to have never existed / stop existing, but you are still present in many ways, enough to influence the world and some of the people in it. creepy.

Since gaster shattered through time and space, the parts of him that did shatter may be able to travel through timelines and resets probably explaining how gaster and his followers appear and dissapear, as if they were going through time and space constantly.

Gaster is such an interesting character, simply due to the fact that a large majority of people either know about him or have seen fan art of him. Think about how many fan works involve gaster, and realise that he has had no real interactions at all, but the sheer mystery behind him is so dense and atmospheric, that you can practically taste the menace that exudes from just even brief mentions of him. And there have been heavy hints of his inclusion in deltarune. Which means that the rest of deltarune will be very, very, interesting.

- This could allude to hints of his existence being spread throughout both Undertale and Deltarune. Pieces of him spread across the multiverse.

- He possibly designed the DT extraction machine.
- He possibly designed the machine in Sans' workshop.
- He is possibly linked to the Skelebros in some way (I don't even need to explain why).
- He is or at one point was experimenting with Determination and the Dark World.
- He is heavily involved within Deltarune's overall plot.
- The arpeggio (as well as the leitmotif of his theme) seem to be consistently present in Deltarune's ost. Probably a deliberate design choice by Toby to make it feel like he is omnipresent.
- He was affiliated with Deltarune long before Deltarune was even announced. He even foreshadowed Deltarune all the way back in 2015.
- He is likely to be the one that contacted Jevil and Spamton and was the cause of their self-awareness.
- He could be linked to Seam in some way.
- He speaks to the player during the beginning of Deltarune, and during some parts of the game over sequence.
- He assists you during Deltarune's "goner maker" sequence. Note that a different voice seems to interrupt him.
- He is the mysterious entity that sometimes takes over Undertale's twitter.
- In the twitter messages, he acknowledges that the player has been looking for him. The playerbase has indeed been looking for him for a long time.
- He is very likely to be the one giving you the EGGs.
- He possibly has a connection to the knight, since EGG in windings translates to 👈👆👆, which is a knight's movement pattern in chess.
- He could be "the man that speaks in hands" mentioned by River Person (he quite literally speaks in hands when his texts is in windings), which could also allude to him being some sort of puppeteer, which appears to be a recurring theme in Deltarune. (River Person said specifically "the man" and not "the one". Since The Player isn't necessarily a man, River Person was not talking about you)
- He *could* have contacted Chara at some point. (This is speculated due to unused Chara voice lines being added in the same update where a bunch of other Gaster-related things were added. Said voice lines allude to Chara agreeing to become _someone's_ loyal servant. Chara refers to The Player as "partner", so they are not talking to you. This is reinforced by the fact that most Gaster easter eggs are show to be canon despite many of them being unused in a way and the fact that both Chara and Gaster are very "meta").
- He is linked to the colour grey
- He is probably the one that forced you into Kris' body.
- While he is present both in the worlds of Deltarune and Undertale, he does not seem to be relevant to Undertale's plot in any way (which corresponds to Goner Kid's speech).
- He is definitely the most self-aware character in both games.
- He could be related to the "Everyman", a mysterious creature that appears in both Undertale and Deltarune. It respectively appears in all of Reaper Bird's (the amalgamate) attacks, in Jevil's ring a round attack, in Poppup's pop-up attack, in Queen's twitter attack and in the back alley of Kris' town as a graffiti. Gaster's loose connection with the True Lab and it appearing consistently during Deltarune despite being a seemingly unimportant character in Undertale (like Gaster is) could allude to this.
- He has two companions of some kind.
Remeber, if I wrote "could" or "maybe", it means that it's a possibility, not that it's absolutely certain.
I'll update this as we get more hints about his existence. I'm actually hoping that he isn't the mystery man of which the fans decided was Gaster. I'd much rather have his appearance remain unknown. Why else would Toby be so insistent of blocking him from your view if we already know what he looks like anyway?

Honestly, I was about to write my own comment pointing this out. But I'm glad I was late to the party. This is indeed the introduction to Metal Crusher. Gaster's leitmotif is a simple 4-note arpeggio, which moves down a semitone after each one is played.

I got the one who looks like the Monster Kid but in grey, the first and the Third Gaster Follower on my first Trough Play but at the time I didn‘t know Gaster was special and my biger Sister (because I played on her Switch) didn‘t say anything but interesting to know, I even got the secret Floor and Gaster but when I saw him I was like: „why?“ I didn‘t knew about him before.

I was messing around with "Gaster's Theme", and I figured out that if you speed it up a ton, you get the sound of your soul breaking in the game over screen.
Imagine someone plays undertale for the first time and goes past the gaster hallway and then later he watches this video and realizes that he accidentally got a secret and should’ve screenshotted or recorded it

There is a way to set the funvalue in the game save file
@@astroboy512 even if you do set the fun value,, the events aren't guaranteed to appear and if they don't appear they set the fun value to 0, which means you have to restart the entire game to restore it. so in order to get those hotlands characters to appear he had to replay the entire game up to that point
