Soda Machines were in the cafeteria, Along with a Concession stand thing that sold any kind of candy or chips you could want. along with the Daily dessert option, usually cookies, cake, or cupcakes. crazy what you remember if you really think about it.
As a 2004 born kid, we had the EXACT same thing. Just not Tacos and Burritos, we had cheese poppers. Which were giant mozzerella sticks, in puff pastry and baked instead of fried. with Maranara sauce. 10/10 would even eat RN

Not to mention that in elementary we got hamburger patties that were green, and lukewarm “hot” dogs. But the pizza and chocolate milk was exquisite.
