I’m weird, I like standing when I sew with my cylinder arm. I wish I knew about the belly cut when I bought mine. So far it hasn’t been a huge issue, but it has come close with some bigger bags. Based on some comments from some other cylinder arm users, I have been able to sew two pieces of un-interfaced cotton together using a combination of setting the hump jumper to 1 and changing the foot pressure. It’s been the best purchase! You will love it.
I am sooooo happy for you!! I absolutely love my cylinder arm machine. I are on mine full time. I use the flat bed table when I need that. My one suggestion is hold your threads. I have messed up my timing to the point of having to call a technician out to fix it just from not holding my threads. I can't wait to see what you make on this machine!❤
At Sunny Sewing Center they offer what I think they call a "half" or "pedestal" table. It takes up less space and takes away the need for an expanded belly area. That is probably going to be my choice for both working space and my very small sewing room.
I started watching this while waiting for an eye appointment. A couple minutes into the video, I found myself saying, 'hurry up! Sew, sew, sew!', as I was so excited for you to get acquainted with your new machine! 😆😆 Came home only to be even more excited that the live viewers helped you out when you were threading the machine 🥰🥰 Going back to watch the rest before I have to make dinner! 🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing this experience with us! 😘😘
I have this machine in the Juki 1541s and it sews thru 4 layers of veg tan leather like butter. I have yet to make anything with it yet though. Very powerful machine
Wonderful new machine! I’m so excited for you and looking forward to seeing you top stitch some of those bags that make you struggle on the flatbed. You may convince me to get another machine! 😂
I am so happy for you. I am trying to decide if I want to buy a cylandar arm. Or a double needle split bar post bed. Or a 360 post bed. It’s a tough choice to make. Either way I am glad you finally got your new toy. I know you have been wanting one fo4 a 22❤❤. ❤2❤❤
So I ended up getting the Thor GC1541s because the Thor 1341 was gonna be too tall for my little NYC apt and be an eye sore in my little living room. SunnySewing had a shorter table to send with the 1541 so it would fit in the space better and so made more sense. When my lease is up and I move to a bigger space I’m gonna try to add the cylinder.
Recent Relics (Esty) sells a mini topstitching table with seam allowance markings. I have the mini and the same size aluminum one that came with your cylinder arm. I like the mini topstitching table best and leave it on most of the time.
I was trying to tell you to try pushing the knee lift to disengage the tension when u were trying to pulll the green thread though. That’s what I have to do on my industrial,,,that,,,or the back lever
I just found your channel and realized we both live in Denver. I have a question, I know you have a KingMax, but I am starting to look at industrial machines for my little shop and was wondering what you would recommend. I do baby stuff and vinyl bags.
What made you choose Kingmax over Juki on both of your machines? Was it the price...or? Going to Ralph's soon to get my machine (1181 or GC0302) trying to decide which version to get. Any advice?? Thanks as always

Congratulations on your new machine
I want to get a Juki industrial walking foot machine. Just need to sell my other machines first! I always kind of wondered about the cylinder arm

Congratulations sister from Bangladesh 🇧🇩

Did the machine and table come assembled?
Just remember to hold the threads when starting. I can tell you a jam is not pretty.
Someone said they had a tool to hold thread then cut it after you starts sewing. What tool did they mean. Very curious

I love my Kingmax for vinyl bags. I don’t think you need such a heavy duty bag for baby items though…
Is there no manual for these industrial machines?
Yes but they are not very great

It was price, and the quietness of the machine honestly. They are almost the same machine in all aspects
@@SiahSwag thanks so much for the info😃
Do you have an owner’s manual?
Yep! That would be handy to get out! 🤣
❤❤
I have a thor cg 1341
Why did you decide to get a cylinder arm machine?
Mostly for the top stitching of my bags, and leather
Read the manual!
Manuals for these machines are not very descriptive and easy to follow
Push on knees lift
