Installing a custom steering wheel in a GR Corolla (with no cut wires!)

In this video I show you how to remove the steering wheel from your Toyota GR Corolla, disassemble it, and install a new custom steering wheel based on an OEM core. This is also the first GRC steering wheel with heater element that was installed without cutting a single wire!

The red footwell lights are a mish mash of a few different parts and some custom wiring but they ended up being plug and play, no cut wires on the car. It's complex to make a video on because it was a 3 month project waiting for parts in three different stages, and a lot of the work was done on the car itself sadly. But I can make a video talking about it sometime. It's OEM Honda red LEDs paired with some bare connectors and a two zone Corolla Hatchback PNP footwell lighting kit. Seeing the harness and getting the parts linked would be helpful for a lot of people. I'll try to get on that soon.

Do you hold the break while disconnecting the battery or after disconnecting? Looks nice 👍🏽

After is fine just to discharge any capacitors that may be charged.
