Not going to lie, I love the fact that you actually integrated the character’s tentacles into the animation. It’s very common to just use stuff like that as just something that sits there doing nothing (which is somewhat understandable, as we don’t have tentacles, so figuring out how they would actually be used isn’t easy), so the fact that the character makes use of them is wonderful, and I love that you went the extra mile to portray that.
I mean that's the whole point of this animation
I think the problem is that many fps games do not have characters with tentacles, not that people don't use the tentacles

Ok this is unironically super friggin cool as an idea. Having multiple appendages for interacting with the firearm would allow you to keep at a ready while reloading which would be hella useful in combat.

It'd fit with a sci-fi game where you could come up with whacky gun ideas that are designed specifically for more than two arms.
Reminds me of The Forest where one of the NPCs has three arms and can use a shotgun and a pistol at the same time.
Closest thing I can think of is The Darkness games but they don't interact with the firearms sadly :(
The implications and advantage of a multilimbed being, solely trained to utilize firearms, is something that interests and terrifies me.

I like the idea that you could pick a tentacle class in a fps, and it lets you do things like throw a grenade while still shooting due to the extra appendages.
there'd have to be a downside tho, maybe nearby explosions dry up your octopus skin so you're more prone to them?

@@waffler-yz3gw downsides dont always have to be nerfs to general gameplay, sometimes the downside is simpily not gaining the bonuses other options give, like yeah having tentacles lets you do alot of things at once, but you'd have to choose the tentacle option and not the wing option that lets you fly or the claw option that lets you walk on walls and ceilings and do bonus melee damage. Stuff like that can be the balancing point instead of punishing the player for their decisions.
If you like that idea you should check out "The darkness"/"the darkness 2", fps where main characters have demon tentacles and do pretty much what you said...and more
In this cases they have a robotic limb do it, like Doom Slayer does.
The world needs more multi-limbed reload animations. Just imagine what an LMG reload would be with four hands!

Agreed, although we aren’t getting the unique and really fun animations like these videos are showcasing in most games.
The OG meme reload maker, hyper, actually got a number of jobs around the industry, notably for Titanfall, Battlefield iirc, and the most recent CoDs, so when you hear people praising CoD's weapon feel you know who to thank.
For sure, that’s a really great thing to see. We just don’t see a lot of cool quirky stuff like this make it into new IPs.
Answer:
There isn't time for someone to do really fancy or elaborate reload animations when they have to animate _ALL_ the reload animations in the game. And if there is time, there's better places to use it.
