Hi, A question. My LB laid 6 eggs. Been sitting on eggs for 27days. No egg hatch. Checked n non of the eggs are fertil. Should I remove the eggs ? Cos the parents are very disturbed when I blocked them from accessing the box.
If they are not fertile you can remove the eggs but may sure the eggs are not in dark black color because it will be like that for last 2 days before hatching. Since you mentioned birds are getting disturbed when you access the box, it is because you are not accessing the fox frequently , if you do any activity once in 2 months or 3 months they will get frighten. so it is always good to access box once in a week so that they will get used to it. Last but not least, hope your pair is DNA tested Male/Female. Hope this helps .. keep watching.. Thank You.
