Glad to see this course played so well. Even with the missing trees and it playing a few strokes easier, it’s still a bear! I play it pretty much every time I’m back in the QCs. Thanks for the video, Ben!
I have! That course is very challenging arguably right up there for toughest. I’m just biased towards Westlake mostly because it’s giving me the biggest trouble during competition.
I never knew about this course! I usually play at Eastern (more my level) but I sometimes drive past this park and think it would be a nice place to camp. I'll have to check it out sometime!
I absolutely love this course and I've only played it once (twice). It was the grand opening tournament and an attempted two-a-day with all divisions, Int/Rec were sent away after lunch. Pro/Adv still finished in the dark for the last few holes.
@ oh mannn lol you been in some interesting parts of town I see I work downtown those are some rough areas cliff is basically abandoned at this point I’ve been in unsafe stations there when I practice on break alone. I say this with all respect but you’ve been led astray! Although swope/cliff are just wide open courses for bombs away. Waterworks bees knees instant classic (new teepees and layouts too) black hoof gold level wooded track well manicured and free to play. Play “the tips” for uber challenge only pros could score (but fair) Bad Rock of course Clevland Lake mixture of park and wooded, reminds me of your video a bit with lakes Cedar: just pretty fairways lined by cedar trees, clear lines, scoreable but specific Legacy: nice park style as well, the back 9 gets more challenging Rosedale Park: old heads love it park style course, can be really busy as it’s closest to down town If you had time for two I would say black hoof and clevland lake. Then revisit waterworks on way out. I’ve only been playing less than two years but feel fortunate to be in KC as I feel spoiled. Iowa looks to be abundant in courses too!
I might for future content or atleast have a quick picture pop up on screen before I throw. Right now I want the audience to just enjoy the disc golf that’s happening.
I haven't seen this course since they did work on the property and it's a bummer about the trees that were removed. The course still looks like it has plenty of teeth and you definitely made it look too easy in this video.
its a great challenging course for most people, but the touring pros destroy this course. and with the rough basically gone on a few of the holes, i do think its "too easy" for them.
@drewk5972 idk about “destroy” and I agree it’s not tour ready in its current layout. That being said with some trees missing from construction the rough on holes 3, 5, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 24 are still very much there.
Beautiful scenery, excellent camera shots and of course, stellar disc golf. Thanks for the relaxing content. Gonna go out and play now. BTW: You sort of look like a young Cory Feldman...but you're probably too young to know who that is. Good luck in 2025!
Heya, just a heads up: to keep the mic secure, you want to attach it to the brim of the cap, just before the visor. Not on the bill/visor itself. It's a lot more secure that way. I've dropped these mics myself, so hopefully this helps you. 🙂 (great video, btw!)
wish they would update this course and add it back to the rumble. they have the entire other side of the lakes to build another course if they really wanted.
@@queueburt8392 I was told the reason it wasn’t in the mix was too many people complained about how bad the rough was to play in so they took it out of rotation also because of the construction. Maybe one year soon it will comeback! 🤞🏻
For the record, there’s two additional courses sketched out at that property. One on the north side (over the road from 10 and 11), and another one on the east side (over the bay from hole 19). The county was only interested in one at the time we built it, but feel free to ask again. They were great to work with!

Have you played Wildcat Bluff? Might give this a run for its money on difficulty

Definitely worth checking out! Now’s a good time to play with the lake being frozen.

That sounds like westlake 😄
Kind of reminds me of Clevland lake in KC. One of the many gems in Kansas City.
I don’t know if I’ve played that one before.
@ what courses have you played in KC other than bad rock I’ll assume?
@ waterworks, blue valley, swope, cliff drive and bad rock.

Bad Rock of course
Clevland Lake mixture of park and wooded, reminds me of your video a bit with lakes
Cedar: just pretty fairways lined by cedar trees, clear lines, scoreable but specific

Love the content wish you would tell us what disc your throwing and why you chose that disc. Keep it up alway one of my favorite putter on tour

If your ever in the waterloo area, exchange park, big woods, deerwood.. all really good courses
Definitely played exchange a few times. Never the other two though, if I’m there I’ll check them out!
Starting a new job in the quad cities. Gonna need some top course recommendations.
Camden 1 and 2, Westlake park, devils glen park, middle park, prospect park, eastern park, goose creek and Richmond hill park. To name a few 😄
They really opened up hole 12. That used to be such a tough approach into the green. You made that look so easy!!!
I miss the old hole. Such a tough birdie.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Would love to see a vid at wildcat. Not sure how close you are, or how easy filming would be.
Maybe ☝️ day!
Wow hole 8! Being able to see the basket is crazy!!!
Right??
What was that spit out 😂😂 thanks for the comedy
Glad you enjoyed 😄

It's always fun to see what you can make look easy, right? However I did play with the wind down and in the fall when the rough is more forgiving
This course should rlly be on the pro tour, I remember watching Paul Mcbeth shred this course in some tournament.
“The Rumble” is the event you’re thinking of!

Ben have there ever been any tournaments filmed here before?
Yes! There’s Jomez footage of this course from 2019.
That drive and aproach on 18 were nasty! My favorite course in the area for sure.
Thank you Shannon!

Haha I appreciate the comparison.
“Hey I’m in the prime of my youth and I’ll only be young once”
Did you change putters and Are you still putting with the roach
I did. I switched to the CT swirl Kratos during my practice rounds at Jonesboro this year.
Can we get some action from C2!?
Yes I will some day but I’ll need help with that one, camera setups are tricky when you’re by yourself on that course.
For a second on hole 3 I thought there was a dude sleeping on the bench. But it must be freezing there
What camera/mic do you use?
Just my iPhone and Boya wireless microphones.
Come out to Sterling and do a round at Sinnissippi
Maybe one day

Appreciate the insight! 👍🏻👍🏻 and thank you!
@@BenCallaway No problem! Always glad to see you drop these videos. Your form is so much fun to watch!

Do they have any tournaments here these days? I drive by this place all the time but never had a chance to play
Not as often these days. I’ve heard the park is hard to deal with at times and course maintenance is huge being 24 holes.
Bro shot -20 casually
Wasn’t even keeping score. Just throwing shots. I was fortunate to have conditions on my side though.
I know those shots are a lot harder than you made them look. Lots of changes out there since last time I played
They certainly are. I’m also playing in the fall so all the rough is scarce. Makes the fairways seems HUGE.
Make the hardest holes look ez and the straight forward ones hard 😢
I get bored.
