    Since my mother's death - coming up on 5 years - I've struggled. I worried about where my mom would 'end up' after death, because she suffered from mental illness. She went through extreme abuse as a child and her trauma was never treated. I worried she'd end up in a hell of her own making, vs a profound realm of pure love. I stumbled on Anthony Chene's YT channel during the pandemic and watched every NDE story I could get my hands on. I can't describe how these stories have transformed my grief. It only makes sense, that as we evolve in our scientific knowledge, we're going to have new modalities of understanding the nature of consciousness. There will still be materialists foaming at the mouth along with hard core religious sects, but change takes time. I am so grateful to Dr. Alexander, Dr. Bruce Greyson and many others for their dedication to bringing the truth to humanity.

    Wonderful interview. It just brings me back to my teacher, Barbara Brennan, who discussed quantum physics. She was a physicist and I think discussed some of these ideas in her first book. We experienced them first hand although her main focus was psychological transformation which then led to spiritual transformation. She was so wise and a wonderful teacher.

    Interesting stuff. Reading Dr. A's 3rd book now, after reading the first two.
    On 'global warming,' fear not -- the Earth is self-regulating. Desalinated ice from the North melts, cools the oceans & atmosphere, and moves us toward another cooling/icy period, which is Earth's naturally dominant state.
    Beyond this, another geomagnetic pole shift is underway, bringing more changes -- many catastrophic when the full shift occurs.
    Beyond this, we appear to be due another solar micro-nova with even more dramatic changes.
    All due within the next couple decades.
    Earth goes through these cycles every 6k years (catastrophic, extinction-level event for some species) and 12k years (more catastrophic 90º rotation of Earth's crust and reset of human civilization).
    But all is well -- it's all part of the greater reality of which Dr. A speaks.

      I've been there. If nothing works for you anymore, like this talk with Eben Alexander, meditation and counseling then it's time for radical measures. What you have to do is to change your brain chemistry in such a way that it stops torturing you. You have to find the right chemical for you be it antidepressant, psychodelic or opioid. I would start with antidepressants as they are readily available. All you need to do is to go and talk to your doctor. Good luck!

      Some ppl are in such horrible pain that they don't have the least bit of energy to go do something for another. THINK. Maybe this person is suffering with terminal cancer. Do you truly expect someone like that to "get over themselves" and go do something for someone else? Get REAL!@@SorrentoShore

      I hope this reply isn't too late. Definitely get professional help. But be cautious. There's lots of drugs that actually enhance suicidal thoughts. If you experience that with one medication, stop and see your doctor until you find the right one for you. I don't automatically suggest drugs, but in your case, if you're feeling as bad as you say and even awake each morning in utter despair, that's definitely a chemical imbalance-unless there's something going on in your life that could account for that despair. If that's the case, remove yourself from your environment, certain persons, etc. God bless you.

The Hatred that evangelical Fundamentalist have for Gay men is inconsistent with the Equality of value that the Creator has for all of mankind??✡️☦️✝️🌈🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈⭐️💙🙋‍♂️

    Looking carefully into the description of what dr. Eben Alexander experienced, he was concious traveling to what he calls heaven while he was in coma; his brain was completely destroyed cell by cell.
    However, there is some baffling, frustrating and unclear points about his description.
    First...he said that he was conscious as an observer but he was unconscious about himself and his family on earth; he didn't remember anything about what he had experienced back on earth.
    According to his book, Proof of Heaven, he didn't even recognize who he himself was or people around him including his sons when he got back from coma.
    It was only after a few weeks later when he got his normal brain function back that he started recognizing his family members and getting the knowledge back that he had gotten here on earth.
    Of course, he was amnesiac from the damage by the bacterial infection...but if we should be conscious beyond our brain, don't we have to know who we are, at least in heaven, if not on earth where we might be under the influence of physical body like brain?
    It would be so frustrating if my mom didnt recognize me in heaven.
    If anybody has an idea or answer to this, please let me know. I will really appreciate it.

    • @joeriehl1890
      @joeriehl1890 Год назад +1

      he says that him not remembering anything about himself was unusual when it came to NDEs. All other NDEs i have heard involving family members have recognized each other from not only your latest life but several lives previously! I’m sure your mother is watching you now, God bless!

    • @lettermines
      @lettermines Год назад

      @@joeriehl1890 actually that is what makes me worry...unlike other NDES, dr Alexander was brain dead, which is much closer to real death. Maybe that's why he was amnesiac about himself and anything on earth. That may implies that as we get closer to real death, we are getting closer to amnesiac and unconscious state.

    • @joeriehl1890
      @joeriehl1890 Год назад

      I would argue there have been a lot of people “equal to or more dead” than he was and still remembered themselves. He also says that consciousness itself could be the location for long term memories considering scientist still have no idea where long term memories are stored

    • @sallyb1111
      @sallyb1111 Год назад +1

      I would imagine since his brain was damaged before his NDE it was also damaged when he went to the other side. As I understand it people who have left and have been ill before they pass require healing on the other side for a while until they become healthy enough to experience their true selves again in the higher dimensions too. I wouldn't worry about being recognized. I have had an ongoing connection with my son who is on the other side and he has no problem recognizing me since he has been there.

      @@neilsonbernard1419 thanks for the response.
      But that is what makes me uneasy and keeps me from being confident about the consciousness independent of brain or any other part of our body.
      As you may know, most, if not all, NDES happened not under the condition of brain death. That is probably why they didn't lose the memory of their lives on earth... So don't you think that it implies that our consciousness is somehow under the influence of our brain or possibly some part of our brain, known or unknown.
      I am one of those who truly hope there is consciousness independent of our body or brain and hope to be completely confident of that.
      I wonder what dr.Eben Alexander say about it please.
      Thanks
