Unpopular opinion here: obviously, mom has done an exceptional job with her child. Was just thinking that maybe she shouldn’t tell the abandonment stories in front of the child until she is old enough to understand, I wouldn’t want it to affect the child self-esteem. Because you can clearly see that her demeanor changed when mom started talking about it.
