Meaning; if you acknowledge the problem, you ARE the problem. My daughter is 13 and has been approached by grown men. So perhaps there is “no place for ill discussion in a polite society” when people forget the importance of asking questions to understand one another. On that note, as an attempt to engage in polite conversation, I have also struggled with guiding my child’s clothing choices with the external societal pressures and very real risks. My child is a bit older than yours but I recall at 13 it was much more scary and also easier to control. As they get older I find there is more external themes like narratives around body image, body shaming, and the notion that the children shouldn’t be told they are the problem but the grown men who view children as sexual beings are. This is an idea I had not considered. I still prefer safety though, but it does not make it any easier when you are trying to keep your child safe. As they get older, of course that choice becomes more and more theirs and all we can do is hope we have done all we can to help them make the best possible choice. (Like anything in life). I wonder if you hear similar themes when you are trying to guide your daughter too? It is so sad to hear your daughter has already been approached and I get that is very scary. I hope that the creeps who have approached her don’t attempt to victimize children again.

Idk man! I had a side part going on 10 years. I’m mid-20’s and noticed very minor thinning of one side of my hair, the side I like push my hair back and flip it to one side on. So I switched to a middle part just getting my haircut that way. Then I switch now between side, middle, & EVEN the other side!! After going back to the middle, you are able to switch sides without that crazy scalp pain 😂my scalp hurt for a day after the new cut, slightly. But usually when I would try to switch up my part, even with full wet hair and combs…my scalp would be so sore! So idk the weight distribution after a haircut is where it will fix that probably. Anyway, do what you want! I’ve only recently done this, and the other side of my hair where it was thinning, is already coming back. Hair breaks. And grows. I’m not too old yet! I just wanna learn good habits to preserve hair skin nails etc..
