About 18 years ago I worked on prototype toothbrushes that dispensed toothpaste as you brushed your teeth for a major conglomerate in that field as well as others. My understanding was the corporate board told the company in that area to proceed with a test market. I have not seen the product on the shelves.
$34.99 is CHEAP for an electric toothbrush. Look at Braun's, they range from $34.99 to $299.00. It's the brush heads that they nail you on. 3 brush heads for $16.99 at Walmart and more expensive elsewhere.

What I find unusual about this episode is the lady in question knew her product, was dedicated to it, so much so she was deeply in debt, and presented her case well. What the Dragon's zoned in on was her debt. Yet normally in such a case there is an inquisition into the presenter's background and commercial experience - there was none of that! Why? An Internet search reveals in reality this lady is very well educated, highly experienced in the commercial world, which, with her product and presentation, would normally have had the Dragon's jumping at the chance to invest. Instead their interviewing failed and she received the offer "to help her out"!! It was a steal on their part!
