Akira Toriyama was such a genius at making manga. I have literally adored everyone of his works and I wished for so long to see Sand Land animated. Great to see we've gotten some really smooth 3D animation that actually works with Toriyama-sama's artstyle. You will always be remembered and revered!
This anime feels like a Toriyama's parting gift, SandLand is a story with the style he always enjoyed to write. I loved the manga when I readed years ago and I'm loving this anime and the extra content that came with it.
I love how the CGI mixes in so perfectly with Toriyama's art-style, everything looks so smooth and fluid and expressive, thank you for this, what a beautiful way to remember Toriyama-Sensei!
@IchiuzYluu2 Unless they were made by the same exact company and director using the same technology, then why would it matter to bring up a show that came out a year later? Berserk came out in 2016, which means the tech they used is less refined than a show that came out a year later. Again, some projects need to be guinea pigs of never technology. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it does.
I remember watching the debut of this series and breaking down in tears... it will be hard to top Toriyama in fact it might be simply impossible 😅 The man was literally given God's touch.
yes it isnt a long story anyway. Toriyama wasnt looking up to make any long story just various short stories of a few chapters. Note: the anime in fact makes up a whole new arc that isnt in the manga. The whole manga is just the movie and the chapters of the anime that are just retelling the same stuff from the movie. The arc after that is original filler.
