I posted a video recently about Abi and I going our separate ways. You can watch that video for more info. We were months (streets) ahead for Community so we have several more reactions to drop to youtube. We watched up to episode 14, and those will still come out weekly until we reach episode 14. May 2020, I'm in a hostel in a different country during the pandemic. I and the residents of this hostel became good friends while stuck in this country and we had a party. While tipsy, I knew this was my moment to say "Hey, we gotta build a blanket fort". I was 32 at the time, with a bunch of late 20s-early 30 year olds. We ALL grabbed what we could and it was a success.
One of my favourite episodes. Such a fun and wild ride but also some interesting character moments. Annie put a lot of her actual feelings in that improvisation part and you can see the realization on Jeffs face that maybe he did not treat Annie well when he ditched her. The room britta was in in the blanket fort was actually an eyes wide shut reference
This is absolutely a top 10 episode of Community for me. And let’s be honest no matter how old you are you would want to hangout in a blanket fort that big and that awesome.
They were trying to hint that Annie was telling the truth when she went off the script and saying all those things to Jeff, that she loves him, and she thinks he "abandon" her
Gonna geek out here since I grew up in Park County Colorado (yes, that one, where Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman live) and us Coloradans love it when popular shows are set in that stunning state: Community is set in the fictional city of Greendale, Colorado, which is based on the real life Glendale, a Denver-metro suburb. It’s near to the tech industry center of Denver, and fairly multicultural, so a Persian barista wouldn’t be unusual.
a lot of people forget about this, but in the episode "aerodynamics of gender", when abed scans everyone in his mind, it says "reminders" on the side and one of the reminders was "build blanket fort with troy". another time in the show, a bit later, either troy or abed says "blanket forts are for fun and for when your uncle dies". so abed probably asked troy if he wanted to build a blanket fort to comfort him.
I wonder if "would that this table were a time table/hoody were a time hoody" is a reference or inspired by something else, or if it's just a funny way of saying it that one of the writers just came up with
About grownups having fun. My favorite is the C. S. Lewis quote. "When I became a man, I put away childish things, amongst them the fear of being childish and the desire to be very grown up." It's true, the desire to appear "grown up" and fuss about not appearing childish, is a very childish thing indeed, if you think about it. meaning that most people grow older but do not really mature that much.
The Latvian independence parade line is actually a reference to the date the episode was intended to air, coinciding with actual Latvian Independence Day.
Of course they showed the squibs going off (for the latter "gunshots"); the characters needs to sell the realism in universe- I mean, once Professor Professorson gets up, its not gonna mean much if he falls down again- falls down with a shirt full of holes and red syrup? THAT would be more convincing.
Another fun fact… When this episode aired it was actually the Latvian Independence Day… So when they filmed this show they knew that the episode premiere on that date
I am sad that this collaboration came to an end before Season 3's "Pillows and Blankets" episode...as that was a clear follow-on to this one and I think one of the top 5 episodes of Community ever. Also, PS: 4:14 oof.
I live in East LA and the amount of homies and family that spend time watching law vids to refute cops is insane. If they actually spent time learning the law for useful things they'd have a degree by now😅
Also both times I've been arrested, almost every person in jail had law tip/trick. It's funny how much things people pick up that they dont specifically train for
Still one of the best Community episodes ever. Season 2 is a masterpiece. Something tells me the girl on the right didn't hear the line about Nazis, that was bound to happen...
Cops get aggravated when you quite law. Best to just have business card of an attorney and don’t speak until your have an attorney present. Police will not be influenced by what you say. That’s for the courtroom.
One of the best episodes ever. In retrospect, Troy & Abed's "cords" should have been farther apart to further sell the joke that it must be a 2-man operation to destroy the fort (much like 2 missile commanders turning their keys). The alternating word game at the end is something I've played since I was a kid. I've always thought this version was a joke on "Good Will Hunting", with Abed providing virtually all the content (Matt) and Troy mostly just listening (Ben), at which point "Ben" suggests they "write a screenplay together", where they share credit for a project which was mostly by one person. ;)
They are not on Patreon. I will finish the season on my own but I will give a community update when I start TLK again and those will drop straight to RUclips.

Oh shit Episode 15 is the Brit Marling episode!!!
@@SuperTrailerz I was so excited to see her!! I adore The OA
@@ImonSnow Same here!!
Oh great! I'm glad to hear you will be continuing the show solo! It really is a show worth seeing through to the end.
@@ImonSnow Oh no...did you skip the D&D episode (episode 14 in the original order)?
Fun fact, the studio would only let Dan make this scene if they had that gun safety line at the end.
That was probably the right call
I thought it was an excellent bit
They suggested he add in a gun safety message and he said "sure, why not, the scene is nonsense anyway". That's how I've heard it, anyway.
Probably so that the NRA didn't consider it AgitProp.
My favorite little fact about Community is that this episode originally aired on the actual Latvian Independence Day.
As a Latvian, that was a super random reference... but not an unwelcome one
@@isais207 But can you play the Trīdeksnis?
@@RocketToTheMoose anyone can 😅
@@isais207 Can you play them WELL? =p
Whenever Jeff & Annie team up, we get an iconic episode. This, the ACB episode and the Law & Order episode. All classics
ACB is epic. The song written and performed by Ben Folds Five. It's, like, exquisitely ridiculous.
@@evergreenforestwitch Still can't believe they never caught Abed... I mean, the ACB.
@@Sephiroth144 it wasnt abed
@@alexanderrego1998 Still lines up as the most likely candidate, and haven't seen anything that disproves him...
@@Sephiroth144 it was annie. Literally all the evidence points to her she had motive, opportunity, and she knows all of the acbs tactics

One of my all-time favourite Community episodes. The A- and B-storylines were awesome, and how they crossed over near the end was great.
Another fun fact, Danny Pudi actually did play Abed in the background of a scene in Cougartown
Britta was in the "Eyes Wide Shut" area of the blanket fort.
A movie definitely worth watching.
Snowpiercer before snowpiercer
i watched it years ago....and was extremely underwhelmed by it.
Yes, it will teach you that even renowned filmmakers and star-filled castings can fail.

Alison Brie and Jim Rash were so good in this episode!
Jim Rash is so hilarious. The Dean always delights.
@@LordVolkov Afternoon delights.
I love that man, though the Annie and Chang combo in S6 is gold. It barely exists, but it blew me away.
When this episode aired it was the same day as the Latvian Independence Day . This show is streets ahead .
Sean Garrity might be one of my favorite support characters on this show.
He nails his time…..in the spotlight.
EX CHEDRA
@@tempsitch5632 That's all that matters.
Half of his charm is Kevin Corrigan himself.
The "Professorberg" line is just fantastic (though it often gets missed in reactions).
Annie and Jeff have such great chemistry in this show always my fav duo

I just never get tired of this episode! The writing is so solid. Glad you guys enjoyed it too!
One of my favorite episodes of the whole show. There are some concepts only Community can pull off and make it amazing instead of a dumpster fire.
The music is key to this episode. Dan Harmon said he watched an early cut with no music and panicked that he had killed the show.
I quote from this episode -- specifically, "Figments! Puffs of hot air, from the lips of a ghost in the shadow of a unicorn's dream!" -- all the time.
"Would that this hoody were a time hoody" poor dean lol
I wonder if "would that this table were a time table/hoody were a time hoody" is a reference or inspired by something else, or if it's just a funny way of saying it that one of the writers just came up with
@@tayzk5929 i think it has to do with the dean writing space travel novels
@@m1sslunatic803 Yeah maybe, it's just such a funny way of wording it
Hoody Hoo!
Annie blowing everything off is the funniest thing I stg
And CERTAINLY isn't taken out of context
ANNIE'S GOT A GUN!
Luv that moment.
About grownups having fun. My favorite is the C. S. Lewis quote.

I love C.S Lewis. He has such a great way of arguing.
Fun fact: Britta's part in the blanket chase was a reference to Eyes Wide Shut by Kubrick.
Fun fact, they removed the car explosion from the version you watch on Airplanes LOL
One of my favorite episodes for sure. The fake shootout followed by “would that this hoodie be a time hoodie” gets me every time

"Sean, do you have dinner plans?"
"I do now." 😏

Dioramas and dances... Why does Greendale have so many of them? 😏
Because it's a high-school for adults.
Another fun fact… When this episode aired it was actually the Latvian Independence Day… So when they filmed this show they knew that the episode premiere on that date
I still get chills when I know someone is going to react to this episode.
I might need to seek help for my Community addiction.
Abed was in an episode of cougar Town as an extra
There is a completely cut C plot of Pierce and Shirley out trying to get the food you see them eating at the end of the episode.
I am sad that this collaboration came to an end before Season 3's "Pillows and Blankets" episode...as that was a clear follow-on to this one and I think one of the top 5 episodes of Community ever. Also, PS: 4:14 oof.

this is probably my favorite episode of season 2
My favorite episode!! That is... if it even exists... don don don!
Yoo what a small world hearing you talk about Tuesdays with Stories, love Joe and Mark

One of the best episodes of the whole show! So many betrayals.

EXCHETHRA!
This is the build up to one of shows most iconic episodes. 😁
the professor professorson dutch joke made me laugh as a dutch person bc professor in dutch is literally just "professor"
12:29 "twins peak"
made me sad
They're in Colorado Springs
It's one of the great episodes
3:20 if the viewer retention rate dropped here don't worry, it's just all the male viewers ran off to go memorize the Patriot act 🤣
Jeff is real life Haruhi Suzumiya.
