Now, it's entirely possible that they're doing that to mess with Jason's head, given that they both took credit while actually in his presence. Anyway, as far as it seems right now, I'm sticking with the idea that The Comedian shot Barbara, and The Clown beat Jason. It would be cool to see Harley Quinn’s perspective in all this. Which Joker did she love then? Was she aware of the three joker’s ? Or did they pull a ‘prestige’ on her?
theory where it's all connected: Arthur Fleck loose it because he's cut from his meds. this create the night when Joe Chill kills the Waynes. Criminal Joker joins the riot inspired by this Icon, later he becomes the red hood. Comedian fall in the vat while under the guise of the red hood. the clown was created as a test to see if it was repliquable before the criminal took the plunge. this is why the comedian is certain the it would just take "One bad day" to turn anyone to be like him.
I always assumed stories with insane plots like this, that didn't connect with other plots from other characters, meant it took place in an alternate universe. That line of idea just makes sense to me. The whole Red hood storyline with Bizzaro, to me, takes place in an alternate universe, because i can't imagine why that Red Hood would just return to gotham after dealing with God's and demons that could literally affect the entire planet. Great storyline here though. One of the best
That's how I look at it too, that it takes plot points from other versions while trying to make sense on its own. I mean here we have Jason being Red Hood after Death in the Family, and being part of the Bat Family so presumably he's not quite as murderous as he was in Under the Red Hood, and we also have Barbara Gordon Batgirl after she was shot by Joker and after being magically healed and putting the costume on again, so after some time as Oracle. So I'm taking this as a timeline that picks and chooses aspects of the different characters. I'm loving the story so far. I love this design for Batgirl and I love that in her dialogue with Batman she's the one asking all the questions. It points to her intellect as well as Batman's characteristic of not volunteering information. He may look like he has all the answers but ask the right questions and you find that he doesn't.
thing is, DC has a stance of 'entertainment over continuity' which can lead to plotholes like not knowing when events take place (and apparently neccesitating reboots every 5-10 years) but doesnt bog writers down with too many rules. so why is jason here but also in other stories seemedly at the same time? because it makes THIS story and THAT story more entertaining
@@agustinleal2556 true true, but the problem is its been going on for so long, and there was so much going on in between, it could be considered an alternate version if they want. Hypothetical: What if the Joker's obsession with Batman is all intended to "build a better batman" by continually pushing him to his limits? Perhaps, in his own madness, the joker truly believes he is doing Batman a favour by continually torturing him?
While this sounds interesting, I fear it would make the Joker one of those villains that go bad things because they think they're the good guys. Which the Joker shouldn’t be
Also, the your theory that they're seperate but equal manifestations almost has to be true. Batman would remember dumping 3 different people into the ACE chemical plant, unless only the Criminal was a product of Batman dumping them and the others had grudges against Batman and were turned by the Criminal. I lean heavily towards you're theory about 3 manifestations, especially with the likelihood their coexistence is an effect of the events revealed in the button.
Criminal said hes from before batman. He ruled the city before batman came. He likely orchestrated the ace chemical incident with batman to make himself a partner joker.
That, or he meant as the red hood. Several versions of his old persona are the red hood, but only one is the innocent man in shitty circumstances shown in the killing joke. The other versions were outright criminals, acting as mob bosses in Gotham.

@@DotGamesLive It doesn't matter if they're not related. Just because Barbara wasn't actually Jason's older sister doesn't mean she didn't fill that role in his life. Or even with Dick, Jason, Tim & Damian, none of them are related yet they still see each other as brothers.
But they're NOT brothers, and they know that. They call each other that, out of respect and mutual love for one another, which is a very normal human thing. I don’t think the OG Joker is the one who killed Jason or shot Barbara, but I do like what you said with these Jokers don’t even know who did what.
It probably doesnt matter as always. No clear answers with the Joker.
If I have to have a past, then I prefer it to be multiple choice
Ik people hate this story and want to not think about it but what if there are 3 because of DC convergence.
So this means, everytime a joker looks like he died in a storyline, he actually dies? And another just takes his place?
Cool idea, but it would be odd Batman never noticed....
Im fairly certain it's gonna be like just one joker but like grant Morrison described; he has super sanity and the three are part id his ever changing personality. Just they stay inside him kinda like in dissociative identity disorder. Do it's like the whole, I am legion for we are many type

This is giving me joker movie vibes since the riots of Arthur’s joker caused Bruce’s parents to die
I wonder if the original Joker was trying to turn kid Bruce into a second Joker, his first attempt.
*snaps fingers*
theory where it's all connected: Arthur Fleck loose it because he's cut from his meds. this create the night when Joe Chill kills the Waynes.
I really thought for a second that when Jason was in Barbara's appartment, the Comedian would show up and shoot him there like he did Barbara.
The problem is that the 3 Jokers have been teased for a long time now in continuity. So, this should be canon.

Before Doomsday Clock. The outfit Batman's wearing gives it away
Hypothetical:
What if the Joker's obsession with Batman is all intended to "build a better batman" by continually pushing him to his limits? Perhaps, in his own madness, the joker truly believes he is doing Batman a favour by continually torturing him?
While this sounds interesting, I fear it would make the Joker one of those villains that go bad things because they think they're the good guys. Which the Joker shouldn’t be
When I read this book I read the comedian's voice as mark Hammel.
The One and I can hear Michael Emerson as the Criminal

So... the Joker?

Tragically true no ones facing there problems not really ever, they just Dance around the idea there helping their issues by saving every one else , yet when you look closer the more the bat family just avoids their problems problems on the outside gets even more Chaotic...
I don't read comics; I get all my info from Rob. So I don't know how often it happens, but it absolutely moves me to get any character development from the Robins. Jason in this video was just heartbreaking, and I dont usually get emotional over anything. I'm glad Rob said it a couple times, hinted: that Batman just /has/ to be stoic and /has/ to be detached. Batman doesn't interest me anymore, in any media (cartoons, movies, etc) but seeing him engage with a Robin, or seeing how they develop is extremely interesting.
To even imply these two are related is ridiculous.
THE OG Robin dated Barbara in TAS and that was all hunky-dorey. This is a bit much, Rob. lol
But he's right. When Jason Todd first arrived, Barbara was considerably older than him. She WAS like a big sister to him.
@@Bluesit32 They're not related in any way. Like. A simile, a comparison described using terms "like" or "as". As in, not actually a thing. What you're describing is someone caring about someone else, not flesh and blood relations.
Again, she had a thing with Dick Grayson. That was fine. There's nothing different about this.
@@DotGamesLive
It doesn't matter if they're not related. Just because Barbara wasn't actually Jason's older sister doesn't mean she didn't fill that role in his life. It's the same thing with Dick and Bruce, Bruce isn't actually his blood father, but he still filled that parental role. Or even with Dick, Jason, Tim & Damian, none of them are related yet they still see each other as brothers.
But they're NOT brothers, and they know that. They call each other that, out of respect and mutual love for one another, which is a very normal human thing.
What isn't normal, is then suggesting it doesn't matter if a couple is related or not, it's still weird/gross, because that's insane. It absolutely matters if they're related or not. And they're not.
They just happen to have a lot of respect and love for one another, and for it to grow in this way, again, would be natural, since that's part of the basis for love in of itself. My god. lol
@@DotGamesLive
You don't seem to get my point. I'm not talking about them as a *couple.* I'm talking about their overall relationship, not *this* specific moment.
This scenario with Jason is completely different. It's not like her & Dick, they had a real romantic relationship with eachother, they *were* a couple. This was more along the lines of a moment of vulnerability, they're not a couple. I'm not talking about them being a couple, all I'm talking about is how their relationship has been portrayed.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen Batman be human like its interesting how instead of lashing out on Jason he rationalizes it it’s pretty interesting
Barbara doesn’t seem to know what she wants in this book. Lol She doesn’t know if she wanted Jason to kill Joker or not, she doesn’t know if she should turn in Jason or not, and she doesn’t know if she wanted the kiss Jason or not.
That Barbara and Jason kiss felt so random. It didn’t feel like this was leading up to a romantic relationship. When she talked to Jason, it just felt like friend having a heartfelt moment. The kiss for me sort of undercut that.
I confess that I can't keep DC continuity straight anymore: Did this Jason Todd get resurrected using the Lazurus Pit? Because that would mean he's a least a little crazy.
(And that kiss wasn't as cringey as THAT scene in the Killing Joke movie)
Don't think that was the method here, no. (Assuming it's based on main DC comics continuity)
You either ARE. A murderer,or you’re not. I worked in a jail. I’ve talked to murderers. I asked one what it was like, and the response was,”Now that I’ve done it,I know I can do it again if I had to.”. Slippery slope? No. But a line crossed? Definitely.

the lesson batman never learned because he's rich:
No animal had eyes like that, but Vimes saw them occasionally in some of Ankh-Morpork"s less salubrious drinking establishments, where if you were lucky you"d get out the door before the drink turned you blind.
Colon called that sort of person a "bottle covey", Nobby preferred "soddin" nutter" but whatever the name Vimes recognized a headbutting, eye-gouging, down-and-dirty bastard when he saw one. In a fight you"d have no alternative but to lay him out or cut him down, because otherwise he"d do his very best to kill you. Most bar fighters wouldn"t usually go that far, because killing a copper was known to be bad news for the murderer and anyone else who knew him, but your true nutter wouldn"t worry about that because, while he was fighting, his brain was somewhere else.
