The best camera angles on RUclips which makes the videos much more watchable, especially like the drone view of where the tee shot ends up in relation to the layout of the hole
In that previous video I was touched by the talk that Padraig had with you. I didn't have much of a father figure until I moved away to college. One of my philosophy professors sort of filled that role, and he did so by laying into me the way Padraig laid into you. It was a good cause for reflection for me, and yet again, I've found myself genuinely touched by a video of yours. Thank you Pete!
Peter, as I learned early on when I started playing golf, ex professional baseball player, at 26 years old, the hardest thing about golf was the six inches between your ears. I brought my mental mind from the relief pitcher and as my golf game turned around golf turned around, turned pro at 36, then part time player, golf and teaching professional at Keowee Key Lakes CC, the game was so easy to play and win. keep working on the mind and you'll achieve greater things. BTW, love your videos
Only someone with the wisdom, experience and that you respect could tell you what your fans have known for a while. Glad to see someone could get thru that thick British skull! Keep it up so we can watch you play in the 2024 Open!
Not only is your golf good / better but the production of the video is superb… you and your team now make some of the highest quality social media golf content there is - globally!
16 solid holes, 1 meh and 1 stinker. The only difference between you and a tour pro is the 3 or 4 'nearly in' putts, that weren't, and proximity on a handful of approaches. Pretty bloody good Pete and definitely trending the right direction as we (the Royal We) head toward Open qualifying. Great to see 👌
I watched the previous video with Paddy, then went on the next day to shoot my personal best (84). I was constantly playing with a bad attitude, shooting 100+ every round. I'm no great golfer, by any means, but that attitude adjustment helped tons. Great stuff Pete!!
Attitude is everything. Glad to see you benefitting from the wisdom of someone who's been there. Also calling out Rick with the 3W is savage and hilarious.
Was thinking the same thing. Also wasn’t sure why the caption was talking about him not liking the newer films when he was ranting about the originals.
The bogey in the back nine was a turning point you could sense i shift in demeanor positivity it seemed he was having more fun before that hole and playing better. Then it got away once demeanor changed a bit. Shows the power of what harington was preaching
@@peterfinchgolf btw they explained that death star weakness in Rogue One. Mads Mikkelsen's character was a lead architect of the death star and was essentially a prisoner of the empire. He made the weakness in secret while working on the death star and because only he truly knew how the laser system worked, no one else understood it as a fatal weakness. They eventually realized he was a traitor and had him killed, but not before his daughter, Jyn, found the plans her father made, including this weakness, who then handed it to the alliance, hence Luke knowing about it and destroying the death star. Rogue One is a great movie, highly recommend!
Ive never seen someone play so well for a 74. One bad brain fart on 17 but that could easily have been 65 on a different day. Hope the lab putter works pete because my word you left some shots on the green.
Peter you are so talented and I genuinely believe you are capable of playing on tour. Mentally you are self disparaging. Hoping this is the new you, thanks to Padraig.
God I love watching you swing Pete …… that draw taking off into the clouds and finished with such a nice relaxing finish of the back swing…… awesome buddy👌
This was one of my favorite videos from you, Pete. The attitude change brings a different energy that allows you to have fun and bring out even more of your already great sense of humor. What a great thing to behold! 😊I also think that you should see if you can play with Padriq more often. I think playing with your Jedi master at least twice a year would be great content and great fun!
For Pete going off on the Death Stars ventilation shaft. You need to watch Rogue One, and it will all be explained to you Pete! Love the vids, keep it up!!
I love Rick don’t get me wrong, but I really don’t see how Pete isn’t just as popular. Production quality is awesome, and tbh Pete seems to have a better attitude and play better golf
Think this is really positive with you reminding yourself of those mental cues that Padraig gave you. It’s stopped you judging yourself against perfection and now a more ‘realistic’ (for you) benchmark of a multi major champion. You are not allowed to expect your game to be better than his expectations of himself (until you win more Majors). Keep at it. All the subs are behind you. (When I play solo I now talk to myself too 😂) … and the 17th was really just one lost ball….
Pete here is the point of the "Ventilation Shaft" my friend. The movie Rogue One tells us that a particular engineer employed by the empire (Galen Erso) specifically designed this and hoped the Rebellion would find out (This explains the pilot who escaped) this flaw so as to take advantage of destroying the Empire. Hopefully this helps explain the point of this design! 😁😁
Welcome to Ireland Pete, great to see you here, I don't doubt that you have a huge following here and like me I'm sure there's many who would love to see you play their home courses.. Please come back again with requests and let us know when.. You'd have a great audience and a damn good time.. That's a promise.. Love watching you and the challenges you give yourself ❤️
Ashamed to say just subscribed today after watching for months. Inspired by your severe lecture from the back to back open champion...no names needed. Love your new positive mind set and course management. Look forward to seeing you qualify for the Open....no pressure 😂
Loved watching you play my home course!! 🥰 Such hard luck on 17…but very well played & glad you enjoyed it! 🙌 Rooting for you to make it thru Open qualifying! 💪
Well played Pete, a delight to watch, nice course as well! Love how you took tough advice to heart, I had to think of Padraig's words as well during my last rounds.
After two holes, if I had a swing like yours my attitude would be the greatest in the world. Man you have great swing, fabulous distance, more golf bags than most people a cart that follows you or your commands, what more could you wish for dude , you’re blessed. Playing with golf legends who give you advice not pity pats on the back. Just smile and be happy with yourself.
Fabulous stuff great golf played great scores are rare but tasty treats . Everyone feels those moments the same as you , very real very good . Very positive
Your courses in Scotland, Ireland, and everywhere else over there are 10X better than US courses I feel. I truly enjoy all your videos Peter. Wish I can join you one day. Your game and also your mental game is spot on similar to my game. Cheers. Keep it rolling' my friend. Neal
i watch a ton of golf on youtube but look forward to your on course videos coming out more than anyone else's (coaching videos excellent too btw). Don't know why he hasnt got at least double the subscribers, whether Pete plays well or struggles, for entertainment factor, in my opinion definitely the best videos out there... and also one of the best golfers on youtube . Keep em coming Pete
It's all about the process, Pete. Despite a rough finish to the round, you played some great golf. And while finishing under par would've been nice... You took a big step in preparing for The Open Qualifier!👍
Awesome to watch. Keep driving that positive mindset, and it will reward you! Cannot wait to see the golf to come. Also, singing your golf/sea shanties have to always be a thing.
Pete - your comments on your mental approach remind me of something I read once about how Bobby Jones approached the game. Basically if he was playing/swinging well, he had one swing thought - BUT - if he was playing great, then he did not (have to) think about anything! So, it seems to me different "strokes" for different folks, go with what works.
I'm really laughing out loud!!! I live in Texas, and my playing partner is 'ALWAYS' smoking a cigar when we play golf. LOL!!! That was the funniest thing ever. And we do wear shorts (almost) year round. Cheers!!!
Really good. Much better with the mindset. I saw you’ve been up there with David Shaklady recently. It was only a few years ago you used him as an example of where you needed to be. Now you’re next to him and with him at the top of the leaderboard. Mindset is everything. Keep crushing it
@peterfinchgolf - trending the right way is always hard but last few videos have demonstrated that you are heading in the right direction. Another great video - and looks like a great golf course, worthy of a visit! Thank again Peter
Man, the content has been so so good this past year. Easily become my go to golf you tube channel. I find myself literally disappointed when you have a bad hole or missed chance, lol. Cheers mate and have a great rest of the year!
Brilliant golf Peter. Consistently the best golf i have seen you play. All you need is luck on the greens and you have a real chance to qualify for the Open. The driving, irons and short game look sharp.
You are playing really consistent golf now. Matt Fryer is also playing well. You two could do a serious stroke play match in one of these beautiful courses. Just a suggestion.... Well done! Thanks for another good video.
I really enjoy watching you play golf, your comments are hilarious and relatable, I'm a 5 handicap and can be really hard on myself also, but my best golf is always when I'm upbeat and having a good time.⛳⛳⛳
Great video Pete! I want to recognize how good your crew is doing in production and editing. I notice things like camera transitions, timing, angles, zooms, etc. Also, I don't know why I notice that, because I have no experience with it at all. But, The way they are cutting everything up and giving us this finished product is really great. Good job boys!
Loving the content Peter and following your journey to play better golf at such a top level... After watch Mr Shiels for quite some time i must say that your the man to watch at the moment, as you don't make any excuses if you play a bad shot or have a naff hole.. keep up the epic work 👍. As they say make your next shot your best shot
A video I would love to see for swing quest - how to stay consistent with your swing as your body changes throughout the round ie. Waking up early, 16th to 18th hole and you’re feeling a little drained - the answer might just be caffeine but would love to hear if you can stretch a video out of it 😄
That song on 18 has to be the best thing I've seen on RUclips! I never comment but couldn't help myself 😂.
“Who am I, Rick Sheils?!” Pahahahahaha 😂
Came here for this! Bwaaahahahahahaha

The helium Star Wars rant sounded like Harry Potter ranting about star wars 😂 the Rick Shiels 3 wood roast had me rolling 😂
I just skipped 3 of my primary videos to watch this. That's how you know you're doing the RUclips game right. Cracking video as always Mr Finch
that rake is awesome wtf, love the Irish tracer too
I filmed this before the LAB putter went in the bag ❤
Are you playing Spanish Point golf club on Wednesday
Looking forward to seeing the LAB at work. I have one and they’re awesome!
Thought you'd decided on the Odyssey ?? When you at longridge for the lancs pga?
Gonna loose views now. Hate that LAB is a thing :p
Please no LAB putter. They are so ugly like a cyber truck. It's for Americans who like to show off.

The biggest thing I see in this video is Pete is not trying to kill his drives! As such he is keeping his tee shot in play. Great work🎉
