Baron Blade is surprisingly interesting. His targets are extremely easy to defeat, which make it very difficult to lose on standard difficulty. A perfect tutorial villain.
At first I thought the time limit would just made the scenario a static DPS race when you increase the difficulty, but actually increasing the difficulty is when the brilliance of his design comes out. Even with Advanced+Event the time limit isn't unreasonably strict, unless you destroy his targets and ongoings. But if you don't destroy them, they become quite the problem.
He also interacts very dynamically with hero shenanigans. Control effects are useful against Blade to dodge extra effects (Hasten Doom) or card milling (Jet-Jump Battallion/"Consider the Price of Victory!") but they're not clearly superior to raw damage. The closest thing to a counter to Blade are effects that can Bury or return villain targets, but those are never reliable enough to trivialize him.

He's just such a great encounter. And I love how his deck gets converted into a hero deck with Luminary. I can't wait to see that in Definitive.

Can you please do a play thought with Dr. Toxico in the plague rat deck.
One of the best clicking clock critical events cards.

All the EE heroes will be in DE, plus more heroes!
I am interested to learn how DE Luminary will be updated.
