I’m on the east coast of Canada in Nova Scotia. An order of fish and chips here, at a small diner style seafood place, costs one hour at minimum wage. About $15. A lobster roll is about $20. Our fish and lobster would be insanely fresh though, so there’s that.
I have 13 guitars, but only 1 Strat. It will never be my main guitar but is regularly played. Telecasters are more my thing, and you can easily have 3 variants of those: a standard Tele, a thinline, and a deluxe. I only have the first two… for now! Damn, now I want the deluxe to complete my collection 😂
Hehehe... You will dig this then. I just modded a "left over Fender Pretender" Strat to just a master volume and master tone. I ended up rearranging the five way switch (this works better for me and PISSES Strat guys off!!!) for a cool Tele-fied Strat switching: 1: Bridge 2: Bridge & Neck 3: Neck 4: Neck & Middle (happy accident) 5: Middle I do like the Middle position by itself. The loaded pickguard that was put on this (Xaviere pickguard with GFS Alnico V pickups on a Ariana body and neck) so what I did was swap the neck and middle pickups physically on the pickguard (yay Quick Connect) and just made a few changes on the switch. The Middle (now Neck) pickup is reverse wound so 2&4 are still hum cancelling and 4 still has a Strat quack (not really my thing, I like Strat pickups individually). There's still some work left on this guitar (better bridge with a brass block and brass saddles) and a setup however switching wise, I love this because it works for me and PISSES off your typical Strat bro!😎👍✨ Also I have five Tele style guitars as well.😉
If you're over 21 in the UK, the minimum wage is £11.44, you could get Fish & Chips for that generally, outside London at least. Collection, that is, not delivery. So this double neck guitar is about 5 portions of Fish & Chips. Personally I'd like to have Mushy Peas as well, which adds £1-2 depending if it's a small or large portion (small isn't enough) so let's say this a Four Fish Supper Doubleneck. Seems reasonable to me.
Dude where are you getting 5 portions for that price? I live outside London and the average price of chips and a small haddock comes to about 7 or 8 quid. That said I think we should start measuring everything in comparison to fish and chip portions, it just makes sense.
@@zappasmoustache23 oh sorry, I'm talking Large Cod here, and probably a Medium chips. Agreed that this should be the SI unit of measurement for how much things cost though, we just need to ratify if it's small or large fish and we're all good.
2 medium cod, one small chips, 2 battered sausages, 2 pineapple fritters, which is plenty for two people costs about £20 to £22.50 at my Mum's local chippy (in proper Norfolk, the one in England). Minimum wage has just gone up to £11.44 for over 25's in the U.K.

The correct answer is probably the same as bicycles which is to say, n+1|s-1, where n represents the number you currently own and s represents the number at which your significant other will leave you. For me the correct number is 4, with none of them being actual Fenders. Squire mini-Strat, Sterling/ErnieBall Cutlass HSS, G&L Comanche, and a Tele-necked, Strat-bodied partscaster Baritone. I have half of those so far.

On the subject of Strats, I know for a fact I am not a Strat person but every once in a while I feel like I just need to play a Stratocaster for something. Sometimes it's just the objectively perfect guitar for a song. It'll never be the first guitar I grab, but if I need something different it's almost always a great choice.

And no, I am not secretly wishing I had any of them back. I guess that a guy my age is more in love with the idea of the Strat, than actually playing one.
I thought that for the longest time, but 2020 came around and in Guitar Hell I thought, "all that's missing is a Strat..." So I ended up with five-ish (I bought Fender Pretenders since I modded the crap out of them) Strat style guitars and I definitely get them now. That said I am still more of a Tele and Hollow Body kind of guy...🤔
If that Les Paul acoustic wasn't a cutaway ( which geez was that the first ever cutaway??)...I hate cutaways. So if it wasn't a cutaway it would be more desirable. HOWEVER, this might be the only cutaway acoustic I've ever dug. I love this guitar! It oozes of mid 70's folk! I can see the curly twine macramé plant hangers and earth shoes in the background. It has great stage presence. What would really make it cool is to put a DeArmond 260 humbucking+piezeo hole pickup. The best acoustic pickup ever that they really need to reissue as a wireless hole pickup. They would sell!!
