You're doing a great job of bringing back family folklore. My father and his brother lived in Middlesbrough when they were young, and his brothers son became one of the groundskeepers from the late 70s till it closed. My dad was also a classmate of Clough. Funny thing is my dad has no clue about sports, went to school with Clough, and was at the 68' semi final in Madrid. All he knew it was a Spanish club against an English club lol. As a United fan I still shake my head. Love your stuff, and congratulations
The Clough statue is in Albert park. Where the damaged plaque is was the holgate (our kop end). The wall behind you was kiosks and toilets. If you go in the estate you'll see a bronze ball. The new houses behind the wall was a hospital.
I'm a Middlesbrough fan myself have to say i really enjoyed your video you took your time to research some of our history and had a look where our former football home was really great to see i went on the Boro tour just by myself years ago back in the 2017/18 season i think i will have to see your other videos to see what the other clubs look like.
Just a little point, the Clough statue, in Albert Park about 5 minutes walk from there is an estate called Grove Hill which is we're the house Brian Clough was born n raised is, including a plaque, proudly displayed this fact, Great Video UTB
Big Boro fan and RUclipsr who just stumbled across this video and I really enjoyed it! Love to see people from outside Middlesbrough have a soft spot for the club, will be checking out your other content!
Honestly I'm not Middlesbrough fans but I remember support this team when they meet Chelsea on FA Cup final where there's Ravanelli and Juninho at that time. Both of them are very great players! I believe in the future they could become good EPL club if they focus preparing the team and good management too. All the best for the club!
It’s what we are doing now trying to build a solid team but do it by tapping markets other clubs aren’t watching had a few gems this season and a few flops
I did a course a couple of years ago through the clubs foundation and he said they had ton reduce the stadiums capacity from 35000-33000. This was because of new premier league rules at the time that media and security facilities had to meet certain criteria. They had to put new facilities in one of the corners which reduced the stadiums capacity
Good to hear you'll have more time for the channel, its always a brilliant watch, good luck with it all.. You could attach the mic to your jacket maybe? It won't attract attention then.
I think Arsenal did the best job on keeping some heritage on the old Highbury stadium, I know the listed buildings helped, the channel gets better and better
Must feel gutted about last night especially when Man Utd was leading until the last 2 minutes. Do feel your pain as my club was in the depths for years. Keep up the great work. Middleborough are missed in the PL.
@RysFootyParadise excellent, wish you all the luck ...next time you are at spurs there's two things to look for ... obviously there's now a lamppost replica outside the stadium to indicate where we were first thought of ... the original site is believed to be across the road between the two pubs ... beaverton on the corner of park Lane and the No8 pub ... the other between white hart lane train station and the corner of White Hart Lane itself ... theres a white cottage that was the home of Bobby Buckle one of our founders (aged either 12 or 13) in our first ever game he would be made captain just 7 weeks before his 14th birthday and is recorded as our first ever goal scorer ... he definitely lived the dream
Ry, I love your videos kidda but why on earth would a Newcastle or Sun Lan fan go to Middlesbrough and smash the plaque up ? I think you’ll find it was probably done by the local little thugs 🤔
@@RysFootyParadise yea I’ve watched you long enough to appreciate that bud 👍🏻 hopefully one day you can do Newcastle again with either an extended St James’ Park or who knows a whole new stadium ?
I don’t get the disrespect some clubs give away teams with the changing rooms. Yeah, it doesn’t have to be as good as the home changing room, but it just seems a little outdated to have that attitude.
It was 'we mak em, you tak em' for Sunderland in relation to the ships. Also for the sign no one else in the north east cares about boro, they smash things all on their own
You care so little you had to comment about how you don't care about it. It's like when people constantly talk about an ex and how they don't care about them.
you need to get your facts right mate you mean when west ham united won the world cup in 1966 lol you know i am joking before i get hammered all the best in your new venture you know the cream rises to the top had the great pleasure of doing Ayresome Park back in the day was a nasty place to go to be fair as i say another great old club ground lost forever sadly never done there new ground love the ground tours hopw one day you do my second team stocport county i will tell you a little story about that one day can i have your e mail adress please mate so i can e mail you my adresss regarding the badge your a diamond please keep up the great work you do with these when and if i can get back on Facebook i will askk my subscribers to give you a sub be lucky why the lion on the club badge sorry if this is poor regarding spelling etc as i fiund out i have bleeding on the nerves caused by the diabetis and have to go to moorfields for urgent treatment be lucky mate steve
Just to confirm I was obviously joking that a Geordie or Sunderland fan smashed up the sign 😅👍🏾 Wrexham, Barnsley & Blackburn tours to follow!
Ha you had me going 😂
I recommend you go to he Hampton and Richmond Borough stadiam it’s good
Oh by the way it’s abandoned too
Boro fan here thanks for visiting my club. We are known as SMOGGIES by the unwashed Mackems and Geordies 😂 UTB!🔴⚪️

Appreciate it! Look forward to checking the rest of them out! 🏟️
Been a massive fan of your channel for a while now, and seeing you visit middlesbrough (my home club!) Feels surreal!!
Thanks for watching the videos 😊👍🏾
Good for you backing yourself Ry! Absolutely love the channel - keep up the great work pal.

I wonder what Cloughie was like in school…
A good footballer

And the streets there are names the midfield, turnstiles etc
dont know if you missed it but there is a patch of grass on that "newer estate" that has a metal ball where the centre spot was.

Clough played for Boro and managed Derby, both clubs now play in the exact same stadium as each other.
Love this. I live in a town near by and didn't think i'd see you do a video close to me. Keep up the good work mate.

A United fan in the 90s was always gonna have a soft spot for Boro with Robbo - then Pallister went there, ince etc

Ry if you ever get the chance you should come to some of the Leauge of Ireland stadiums loads of history and some very nice ones
Really hope your new job change is successful 😊, atb from Kev ov Wolves
Cheers mate 👍🏾
Should name the mic Softy for the amount of teams you have a soft spot for 😂

Mate I showed your channel to my cousin last night and he is already a massive fan of it but we support the mighty spurs😅
Nothing wrong with that mate 😁 it’s a channel hopefully fans of all clubs can enjoy…
Hopefully we beat yanited to the top 5 😂😊⚽️
@@RysFootyParadise thank you I am so greatfull we are welcome here 😊
🎵 we won the League, down by the Riverside 🎵
It looks better from the outside, its rather characterless inside.
Boro are actually redesigning the badge next year for the 150th anniversary
Look forward to seeing it
Hope we go back to the original circle badge, current one is not great 🥱
Boro taxis do literally have a monopoly of all the taxis in the area
Love the guy waving and giving the finger at the 17:36 mark . Too good and let’s go Boro !
Didn’t notice him 🤣
Hiya Ryan, how far is it from Ayresome Park to Riverside Stadium? this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Only about 5 mins in the car Choppy 👍🏾
One of the penalty spots is marked by a bronze football in someone’s front garden.. thought that would be in the video, seems you missed it..
boro cars also the biggest taxi firm in the north east. uber wouldnt get a sniff
0:39 my house is 1 min away from there
Good luck, great channel but I prefer it when you talk through the tour.. not keen on the music
It was difficult being a small group & they were a bit iffy with me filming 😅 next time I’ll narrate over the top from home 👍🏾
