Great video. Today, after watching this, I replaced a plug, coil and injector on a 2012 Liberty that was giving a P0303 code. $120 in parts and now no misfire or flashing engine warning light. This video eliminated all the guess work on the injector replacement.

Hi I also have a liberty but gave me code po302. Do you know which injector I would need to check or replace? Thank you

I have been chasing down a P0304 code; coil packs, plugs, checked valves, rockers, lifters; ran a head gasket test, compression; etc etc. NOW I think I know the issue! THANK YOU!!!
Update: Performed this maneuver with fuel injectors I got on Amazon (Polemotor; about $12ea in a six pack) - SOLVED my misfire issue; drove it hard for a day just to make sure.

Changed my plugs and coils. Still have an intermittent misfire on #1. I'll change out the injector now and go from there.

Thanks. I need to replace #4. When you pulled up on the fuel rail at #2 injector, did it also pop off the other injectors? If so, should I put a little grease on all when the fuel rail goes back on?

Really really great video. Gave me the confidence to tackle a job I otherwise would have probably shopped out. And excellent call mentioning the little hook. I picked up a cheap one when I bought the injector and needed it for two of the o rings. Thanks!

I have found if you place a spritz of Penetrant Spray into the Injector base, then wiggle/turn it a little bit, it will pop right out. It will be less likely to tear an Oring. Thanks for the Video.

Changed #5 injector in my 07 Liberty . Was chasing misfire with Plugs , 02 sensors , coil pack switch from cylinder to cylinder. Nothing worked and the Cylinder #5 misfire continued . Then someone told me to listen to the injectors [ i have a powered set of listening headphones] , and sure enough no clicking from #5 . changed after watching this video [ a few issues getting it out and getting it to seat again. make sure you clean the hole real good.... lots of buildup ] . cleared our codes and drove it for 20 minutes , and she idled like a dream . Use the listening trick [ can even use a long screw driver against the injector and put your ear against the other end. should hear a consistent clicking.

I would REALLY love your opinion! My daughters 2004 Jeep Liberty had misfires about a year ago and i found the plugs to be slightly loose (of all things) and it needed a couple coils! I replaced the plugs and coils and it ran flawless until today! The misfire started again with a check engine light and the code p0304! So, i went to the 4 cylinder and checked the coil and plug. Just for the heck of it, I replaced them both and still misfires!
To ensure it wasn’t another cylinder throwing the same code, I left the 4cylinder assembled and than unplugged each cylinder one at a time! In each case, the car barely ran! This tells me it is in fact the #4 cylinder. I pulled the plug and noticed it is not wet with fuel! This tells me that if it’s not firing it also is not getting fuel?! So, injector? Or the electrical to the injector?
Would you mind giving me your best guess?
If you’re able, thank you very much!
    The best to you!
    Rich

Alright, watching this i wonder, if you pull all the tabs off each of the 3 injector connections to the fuel line, you pull up on the fuel rod to get one injector off.....you would be lifting the rail off the other 2 injectors. So wouldn't you have to replace the rubber O rings on the other 2 injectors as well, they would either fall outta the rod or be stuck up in the rail right?

Have code faults for #1 misfire, fuel injector 1 circuit open, and Bank #1 lean.
There is a slight rough idle, but no misfire perceived, and it runs fine under load and high speed. Doesn't burn oil. Gets 15mpg combined mileage. Ran fine when I got it 64,000 miles. Now it has 110,000 miles. It has had this issue for about 10,000 miles. Not getting worse, but so far plugs and coils and cleaning intake hasn't corrected it.
I checked and cleaned Injector and Coils wiring connections and they look good too. #1 Injector plug had some oil in it, somehow. Cleaned it very well with first brake cleaner, then electronics cleaner. Let it dry and reassembled.
Can bad Injector o-ring cause this? I already ruled out spark plug, coils, valves, and did intake cleaning.
I have not checked orings and the wiring from #1 Injector to the computer control. And don't really know how to.
Any tips on checking Injector and its wiring and control while it's still in the head? Thanks!
