I would love a boat like this, but I'm always reminded of this old (and still true) adage. The two best days of a boat owners life is the day he buys his boat.....and the day he sells his boat. That still holds true for 90% of boat owners.
This catamaran really shows well. The master, VIPs and headroom make this Aquila look much larger and great option for taller boat lovers. Loved the enclosed access to upper deck. Never considered a cat but this may change my mind.

Okay there you go, already subscribed because of this perfectly executed walkthrough of the greatest catamaran i’ve ever seen on youtube. Looking for more videos like this! :)
I like how they built the bridge into the kitchen, so now Zapp Brannigan can make himself a sandwich while be pilots the vessel and he will be all like 'She's built like a steakhouse but she handles like a bistro'.
Great video Captain Steve! The only thing missing is the price? It would be really helpful to add a rough price of each yacht to the videos please :D thanks again!
Wow, such a nice boat! The only thing I would like to see changed is where the main Power Panel, extra C-Zone Panel, and MFD Screen is located. I'd rather those be in the Utility/Laundry space so as not to disturb guests who may be using the Aft Quarters.
As always, another excellent review by Captain Steve. Comparing this to a Nordhavn 70+ or Flemming 70 I wonder which is a better yacht overall. I suspect the Nordhavn and Flemming would have better range but this Aquila can still cross oceans at 7 knots. Any suggestions in comparing, Capt? Pros and cons?
Great idea we will discuss as a team. You can go to Boattest.com and use our comparison tool. But it’s by boat type. Check it out hope it can help. boattest.com/comparison/boats/105731+82397
Best thing I could say is they are designed differently. Nordhavens are built for the specific purpose for long range cruising. They are absolutely overbuilt and strong, whereas this has more room, is more spacious, and luxurious.
I can understand that. To be fair the boat is very well done. Amazing amount of space for that size and the fit and finish looks better then when I saw them years ago.
You get the "sponsored by" vibes from ALL of the top manufacturers who knock it out of the park. He gushes over numerous top level makers. And there is nothing wrong with that. You might have missed the parts where he says there are things he'd like done better: more grab rails, etc.

Well, the huge step on the back sucks. If your an older owner looking to buy that's a deal killer., bad knee or hip kills this yacht. The rounded doors are fine on top, a real toe catcher on the floor though. Someone wasn't thinking there.
Overall great yacht. My issues, 1. the galley takes up too much of the saloon, also I don’t like the lower drive station. It’s unnecessary . Watch the host ascend the bridge steps it was WAY too narrow going up those stairs . The doorway into the master also too narrow. My biggest gripe with Aquila is that the heads are integrated into the master stateroom. If one person is asleep the person in the bathroom area is making so much noise. The side heads need to be at minimum closed off for sound and light. If I’m asleep I’d be real pissed at someone walking in turning on the bathroom lights and making bathroom noises . More privacy please. I don’t like or they didn’t show that the tender platform would lower so that the entire Beam of the platform would be level.
@@darthkek1953 hasn’t even been released yet, doesn’t have the same cruising speed capabilities, and so much more expensive. Personally would go with the Iliad, but would rather have something more manageable, like the Iliad 50, fountaine pajot my67, or aventura 14
This and the Sunreef 80 are my favourite powercats on the high seas! Nice!
Yep. I go back and forth between the two. Both are amazing.
Glad to see he isn't afraid anymore to point out defects.
This is a really great looking catamaran. Quite spacious and well thought out with quality build materials.
This is the most beautiful Cat I have ever seen.
The Tri-Deck Silent Yacht 80 is the nicest in the world... the top deck can an owner's deck. The _entire_ deck.

Literally a very cozy comfortable floating home❣️
Wasn't expecting this so quick! Great end to a Friday. I love this boat 😍😍

I love this Yacht! It completely matches my passion for cooking, which I enjoy greatly! Love the Kitchen and all the thoughtful features!
Good job Captain Steve... very informative, and a nice boat. Thanks!!!
Does this 70 have position hold?
Love the layout.
Great Yacht, great video.
Captain Steve's belly has exceeded spec as well
Ha, funny and clever quip.
Yeh, he should pare that down for health reasons. I like the guy.
Funny jab, but never know what someone’s going through...

how much does something like that even cost
There are also drop down tvs from the ceiling in the vip rooms
Very nice cat.
I wait for see the new aquila 54 review

The amount of space onboard these PowerCats is just insane ...

1st cat I've really liked.
I love it and its if Winnebago made a yacht
I hope you guys do the Aquila 54
STATE OF THE ART
Man thats a nice yacht!!!
Would have liked to see the engine rooms.
Great point about the seats that go into loungers. The backing looks flimsy and doesnot support across the whole backreat
Would like you to add the engine room layouts on these tours too
Thank you for this video. Would you kindly do a test on Fountaine pajot alegria 67 power cat?
Your videos are always legit. Much appreciation ✨
Fabulous ✨
Hope you feature the Aquila 54 too
Just finished editing it. Coming out soon.

This boat won't have the range to cross an ocean. But it's still nice.

He does the exact same review format for each video. What are you talking about?
Is that the Ocarina of time intro?
What is the advantage of rounded cabin door corners?
Nothing functional, purely aesthetic.
If the door is thru a bulkhead 90° corners invite stress cracking at the corners. Round opening distribute those forces and reduce cracking.
@@robisarkar6105 Nice to know. Thanks
Aha. Plenty of headroom for Frodo or dany devito
Also plenty of room for Aragon and Dolph Ludgren.

Good point.
Aquila could easily fabricate some pop-in steps to solve that on customer request.

I think the base of the doors are flush.

@@darthkek1953 Yeah the base of the doors are flush. However, where there rounded they protrude. That's gonna hurt if you catch it with a toe.
