One correction, the newest Ploprof (yet to be released for purchase) DOES keep the HEV. Blake mentions that Omega got rid of it in this new version and that's not the case.
I have the same version as in your review. It's my watch that receives the most compliments. I've had a 41mm Sub and found the Ploprof the more interesting and even wearable... And sold the Sub.
If Omega only sold these to certified commercial deep-sea divers, it would add the perfect amount of cache'... thus making it desirable to every rich, snorkeling poseur. 😂👌
“Retired” commercial diver of four here. The job site, tools used on site, and coworkers you work around are generally to rough/destructive for anything of serious value. Similar to military it’s basically G shocks and maybe the occasional seikos here and there in the field.
@@surf1589 Interesting. I thought this was conceived and built for that very utility (perhaps it was back then... Omega's pricing structure has changed somewhat over the years ;-).
It's rather surprising to see with a 5 figure watch, that the crown guard does not line up properly with the case. That is what I would expect from a chinese knockoff, not a 5 figure watch.

Good to have you back Blake! It’s been too long!
Blake still works here??
Put down a deposit for the new version, hopefully it'll be here soon!
I've got to try one of these on at some point. I'm really curious about the heft in the titanium version.
Tried it on last month at the boutique and it’s shockingly wearable. But it’s still very large.

Very nice!
I wished i would have bought this watch five years ago, when i had a chance to in Japan, before the huge price jump
Love the Ploprof, not soo keen on the latest with blue dial and strap.
75th anniversary ploprof is coming
At the current rate of some new Omega announcements, it will be 2026 before we're able to purchase one.
Weird, but I get it.
Looks wrong worn on the right hand, worn on the left the crown guard disappears up your arm.
I would deffo wear this as a daily, totally bad ass.
Only omega. Gl omega fans

You’re probably super fun at parties.
