Bruce and his works in Japan is probably my biggest influence on my style of photography, thanks for the bio pic on this!

His stuff is awesome. I could never work like him, but I am inspired by his ability to do things differently. Thanks for watching

Stylistically, he and Diane Arbus seem to enjoy the same sort of subjects. Yet, she has been criticized a lot for it. Did your research show any criticism of him in the same manner? Do you think it’s because of the backgrounds in which they come from that play a major difference?

Lots of people hate Gilden. I would think he is criticized more than Arbus, but I think that’s because there’s so much more video of his process out there than her’s since she died so long ago. The people who hate Gilden do so because of his process.

@@developingtank post making this comment, I watched a lot of videos about him and yeah….people hate him a lot 👀 I enjoy his photos but can definitely see why people hate his process. It’s rough

@@developingtank have you seen anything from Trevor Wisecup? He’s a younger much nicer version of Gilden, still quick approach and style minus the flash.

People hate a lot of photographers shooting styles. I don’t agree with them. Plenty hate Tetsuo Suzuki too, but his work is phenomenal.
