well it wasnt 5minutes because i had to stop 20x but I love these types of videos because you get straight to the point and dont talk unecessary stuff well done!
I think the only advantage of adding Davinci Resolve to the mix is the transition that you added ? You can create a custom timeline in Unity itself to deal with transitions. Use Custom Post Processing to create these transitions. You don't have to do this, but it will make the creation process seamless and the video may be more lightweight on render.
Hi! Thank you for your answer! You are right, in this particular case using DaVinci Resolve is a bit overkill. However, DaVinci Resolve is much more advanced than that. It has more advanced post-processing than Unity, you can add more transition types, texts, animations, etc. You probably can do all (or most) of these things in the Unity timeline, but using a specific software for a specific task will always be better in many ways. Basically that was my aim in this video: showing how to use these software together in a toolchain.
Hey! I assue you are using URP. Unfortunately Manual mode is only available in HDRP (I did not know this when I made the video). URP offers Bokeh mode, which gives a very similar result, choose that one!
@@fokoff_inc the effect is more subtle than manual mode (at least it was for me in 2023.1,the version in which I tested the URP). Because of this, it is a bit tricky to get it right. You can also experiment with Gaussian mode, you might have more luck with it. Do not give up! :)
Hi! Thank you for the feedback. In newver Unity version the Sequencer, Cinemachine and the Timeline are included by default; you will only need to download the Recorder package. To get the Sequencer game object, right click in the Assets window (as if you wanted to make a new script or folder), look for the Timeline option. It will have 2 sub-options, Timeline and Signal. Select Timeline. This will create a new Timeline asset. Drag and drop this asset into the Hierarcy. It will create a new gameobject that contains the Playable Director component that will have a reference to your timeline asset. Now you can follow the video as normal :)
Thanks for the tutorial! I repeat with you. I create Volume Settings, then Depth of Field - Mode - and there I see only Gaussian and Bokeh. Why is there no manual ranges? Can you suggest what is the problem? I am using URP 14 in Unity 2022.3.7.
Hello! Thank you for the comment! I have checked it on your version of URP. This is indeed the case. After some testing, I feel that Bokeh mode is closer to HDRP's Manual Ranges setting, so I would use that one.
Hi! Sorry, I did not find it. I have recorded this video a long time ago :( However, I recommend the Seta Level Design channel, he has some videos about realistic lighting. For example this one: ruclips.net/video/vyaK_B62SQI/видео.html

@@bencemervay In a few years time it might not make much sense to use a separate video editing software. But, today yes, DR or AE is way better.
UE5 is also great for cinematics. I use it for game dev. But I was facing issues with cinematics. Thts why I chose unity over unreal for cinematics
omg thank you so much! just what I needed!
why camera move not smooth? because no curve in keyframe or what?
1:26, when choosing a mod, I don't have manual mode, do I need to activate it somehow in advance in the project settings?

What do you do if Unity removes the Master Sequence option?
Can you do a tutorial for same thing but in URP? please
@@aqsasardar hi! Thank you for the comment. Unfortunately I did not use Unity for over a year, I have started developing in Unreal.
@@bencemervay ahhh alright no issue ! Xx
Thank you so much,
This video is very helpfull for me Thanks for this kind of act
when i click on override, I dont have post processing
Hi! What Unity version are you using? The video is valid up to Unity 2021, after that many things have changed.

@@bencemervay Thank you for the answer! I have a mobile game and need camera movement in a cutscene. I can't use HDRP for game performance.

@@bencemervay Thank you! Good luck with your channel! (:
I find you'll get much better results by adding a recorder track to the timeline rather than using the separate window.
I will try it, thank you!

Sir can u share your Project ? I wanna see settings for Graphics , because your Graphics looks like very Relistic

Hello! I have never experienced this error before, sorry :(
Excellent tutorial. Although pacing your voice to be a little slower would be helpful. I found this useful. Thankyou. Subbed.
thanks this is a helpful video! 😁
old video i dod not see sequence in webgl project
Hey! I have answered this question before. Look for it in the comments!
i don't have cinematic studio.. solutions?
Hi! In newer unity versions most of these packages are already included in the engine. You will only need to download the Recorder package.
For 2D Game is ok ?
You mean Unity? Yes. For example Ori and the Blind Forest was made in Unity. One of the most beautiful 2D game in my opinion.
thanks for this! Can you do a timeline tutorial setup for beginners!? This was helpful as well. Thanks!
