Sometimes it's really hard to feel the emotions of fictional characters even though I'm an empath, I really like it when I don't have to try to feel emotion for the characters. With the artstyle I could literally make a whole video unpacking every single thought that occurs in these characters minds. The expressions just seem so accurate to what the characters are thinking. It's easy to empathize with them because of how you draw the expressions
I wish this was cannon. I want this to be cannon. You have taken a simple horror game with only 1 chapter and created something amazing, it really shows the sheer amount of creativity this fandom has, that you have. I have never before seen a short RUclips animation that has perfectly captured horror, drama, and emotion quite like this before. The music hits different and the art and animation was amazing. Thing is canonicity is whatever you believe it to be. It doesn't necessarily have to be the original timeline, rather it is its own separate if you choose it to be.
I think for me the boy is believing that Poppy locked him away from the lady so she could be adopted instead of him. He believes it's a personal betrayal when Poppy is trying to save him. This makes Poppy's fate even more sad because now that the one person who she was friends with and tried to save probably hates her now.

@@jeweledjulez I don't think so. It looks like he saw the feer in poppy's ayes at the window. Something that's against the happiness she expressed back in the door. And in the flashback were the protagonist is protecting her toy friend from her. You can see poppy defending his unconscious friend, boud covered in blood before she gets transformed into a doll. I think the friend tried to save her but fails and dies in the process.

I love the background story you gave for 'Poppy'. It's very heartwrenching, the little boy had saved her from the loneliness she felt when her friends were taken away, and so in return, she literally saved him from being turned into a doll.
Poppy Playtime’s Backstory in a way is kinda like The Promised Neverland , kids live happily in an orphanage, then some get ‘adopted’ , truly getting turned into merchandise, Poppy ( Emma in this situation) finds out , so does Norman(The Black Haired boy in this ) , but in this , ‘Norman’ finds out later , one of the two best friends get shipped ( In this ‘Emma’ gets shipped instead of ‘Norman’ , and also , the Black haired girl at the start that becomes the Cat-Bee thingy is sorta like Conny , In this she is the first to get shipped that we know of and stuff.
Knowing that this story isn't canon makes me feel better. But I do have a feeling in the main story that the toys where once human just not children. I believe they are the missing workers

In Part 1, Huggy doll is the boy from Part 2. When he is thrown away by girl's parents, he remembers when Poppy "abandoned" him at the orphanage. That is why, when Poppy reaches out to Huggy, he leaves her at first, because he's still upset at her when they were still humans. He did not know that she was trying to save him.

From what I remember, Huggy Wuggy was created after Poppy, so maybe they doubled down on the idea when they realized dolls were coming out of fashion and decided to make another toy using the remaining boy at the orphanage. Edit: The boy Poppy was protecting was also wearing the same blue shirt the boy was wearing at the start of part 2.
4:29 You know, what makes this worst is that if it’s *that* room, where “Poppy” found the papers of the experiments, the look on the boy’s face could be despair at realizing what she’s doing or that he thinks she doesn’t know what’s coming to her after finding the papers and piecing it together on both their inevitable fates, rather than betrayal of her leaving him
I want to think that the boy thinks Poppy locked him in so that *she* could be adopted. The room with the papers is Stella’s (the girl in the wheelchair) room, and her door has a heart called “MOMMY” ( 3:29 ),but the room with the boy and Poppy doesnt have that heart. I’d say it was probably a place for some isolation.
I love how you didn't just put the 2 videos together, you edited in some new parts and even included a brilliant transition from the first part to the second part, absolutely love it!
The fact you guys added new scenes and animation to this rather than just stitching the 2 videos together shows the love and care you put into this. Fantastic work, the minor changes cut deep
Both part 1 and 2 makes me cried..- they both have a deep story and you did really great on both animation, stories and ideas. You did great! Also.. "As i'm standing here, my prince my only prince" cut deep.. like she's waiting for him to save her or maybe just hoping he is safe and live happily..

The saddest part to me is the fact that the boy probably doesn't even realise that she was protecting him, he thinks that she locked him in there so she would be adopted and not him since he didn't know what would happen to those who were 'adopted'
I don't think it's fair to compare the two as they are very different in experience, the game is ment to make you scared and think to solve puzzles in order to progress, its supposed to make you look deeper into things and replay to unover the law slowly, as it wouldn't be a very good indie horror game if the story is all handed to you on a silver plater. The animation series is just focusing on a story and characters therefore giving you a completely different experience, it's ment to make you pity or feel bad for the characters for their backstory while using music to help convey emotions such as despair and sadness. I think your just trying to say that interactive scary stuff is not your cup of tea and you'd rather watch a horror movie or something, that's okay though. Not everyone likes everything.
I wanna see an episode of the boy from pt 2 coming to the factory and realizing what actually happened. I want him to have a bigger role, and see the conflict. Then maybe whoever did all that horrible stuff to Poppy and Huggy comes after him next or something like that . . . That could be a potential pt. 3. Then again, we're all waiting for Chapter 2, and there might be more lore.

@LxdyNxir hmm well it’s kinda hard to explain. The game follows the same concept of Bendy abd The Ink Machine like discovering clues and piecing the story each chapter u play. As an example Bendy has these voice recordings while Poppy has vhs tapes
I just realized "I'm not a monster part 1" was a little different from the original. At 1:23, A picture of the girl & Huggy was placed in, most likely to emphasize why he was upset. Also, I've never seen part 2 before, but I noticed the end of part 1 was very different from the original. Instead of Huggy just falling and poppy finding him, with the video ending with experiment 1-0-0-6 papers, It ends with the girl running down to try to save huggy, and poppy saying "Mommy doesn't like guests" from the chapter 2 trailer. Also, I'm a huge fan! I love your animatics to no end!
theory: huggy wuggy is probably the same boy that poppy was friends with, in 0:23 he looked really upset with her after he looked at her face and noticed her red hair in his pov, and after he did poppy looked so mortified. Him looking at the window was probably the animator foreshadowing his feeling of abandonment when he saw poppy getting adopted, and him thinking she betrayed him. At 2:18 we see the little girl protecting huggy wuggy, and poppy looked really frightened and had a flashback of her protecting her friend (this wasn't in the separated version and even if other people said that poppy was the last experiment they probably scratched of their previous plan and still decided to experiment on the boy, plus he was wearing the same blue pajamas that the boy wore when they first met). In 3:59 we can see the writings "THIS ISN'T MY BODY" written on the walls and that's also probably foreshadowing that the boy was going to get experiment on again and moved to a different one because he wanted to get bigger cuz he thought the girl would like him better. When he saw the girl picking up his previous smaller body he also really looked upset. At 2:48 there was also a drawing on the wall with the poppy doll body and the boy also probably saw that too.
Plot Twist: The Girl’s Father Is Actually The Other Test Subject Other Than Poppy, Explaining Why The Parent’s Wanted To Get Rid Of Huggy Wuggy Because It Reminded Him Of Poppy.
I can’t stop watching this. Every time it gives me goosebumps at how well the story is predicted. I really wish this was cannon because it’d make a lot of sense and connect to the storyline. People can be so creative and I’m here for it
I was thinking it would be a cool plot twist if huggy wuggy and kissy missy turned out to be the brown haired girl's parents. It could be like they found out the truth about what's been happening in the factory and tried to save the children but were caught and turned into toys themselves. The father could have sent the small huggy wuggy to their daughter when she was a toddler to keep an eye on her and look after her (We see in the project play time that huggy wuggy can make small wuggy). The people who thew the small huggy away could just be her adopted parents. Over time, the father begins to lose himself very slowly.
This is so beautiful. It’s just now a lore for a game. It’s applicable to real life. Just see. Many people in the world experience bad lives and have lived traumatizing events, and when people make fun of them they see their past like Poppy at 2:15 People do something or go somewhere really happily expecting a bright future, but end as an experiment by human or nature. Like the girl at 2:41 never thought she would be turned into a toy as shown in 3:35 We accept our apologies from our true friends and say it’s okay, but what we never realize is that everything they mean to us. The care, love and support they give us. Only people with no friends know that feeling. Like how Poppy was feeling at 2:50 before the boy became her friend There are really cruel people who flash of their money and down right their friends. Then there are people who give lives for their loved ones and people need. Like Poppy say her best friend in danger at 3:42 and decided to be chose as the final experiment and smile for their love like Poppy at 4:37 This is just so beautiful! Everyone’s a God’s Gift!! Everyone deserves! This team has a gift to animate so well! And others have other gifts to learn something from a completely different topic! This animation so heart touching and I love it. This is such a great work!! Fabulous GH’s!!

when huggy climbed the apartment to see his “friend”, that’s like when my baby sister climbs my desk but when huggy falls off, that’s when i take my sister off. Is it a coincidence that huggy and baby literally have the exact same face expressions
The first part reminded me of Lotso’s backstory from Toy Story, a toy that was abandoned by their owner, only to end up getting replaced entirely. I wish this was canon, it has that “this is beyond f*cked up” vibe that horror games like FNAF and BATIM have. And that would answer many questions about the game itself.

まだ途中までしか見ていないけれどハギーワギーが女の子を襲いかけて一瞬我に返った瞬間、彼を箱で落としてしまった瞬間、2度も涙が溢れ出てきた。

In Part 1, Huggy doll is the boy from Part 2. When he is thrown away by girl's parents, he remembers when Poppy "abandoned" him at the orphanage. That is why, when Poppy reaches out to Huggy, he leaves her at first, because he's still upset at her when they were still humans. He did not know that she was trying to save him.

@@freickshou I mean, the boy in the shot where Poppy sees her human self protecting said boy looks hell of a lot like the boy in the orphanage. Plus, it makes sense chronologically. From what I remember, Huggy Wuggy was created after Poppy, so maybe they doubled down on the idea when they realized dolls were coming out of fashion and decided to make another toy using the remaining boy at the orphanage.
Edit: The boy Poppy was protecting was also wearing the same blue shirt the boy was wearing at the start of part 2.

You know, what makes this worst is that if it’s *that* room, where “Poppy” found the papers of the experiments, the look on the boy’s face could be despair at realizing what she’s doing or that he thinks she doesn’t know what’s coming to her after finding the papers and piecing it together on both their inevitable fates, rather than betrayal of her leaving him
I want to think that the boy thinks Poppy locked him in so that *she* could be adopted. The room with the papers is Stella’s (the girl in the wheelchair) room, and her door has a heart called “MOMMY” ( 3:29 ),but the room with the boy and Poppy doesnt have that heart. I’d say it was probably a place for some isolation.

I still like this version best, mostly because of the bridging segment between the two parts. It conveys the parallels best.

The saddest part to me is the fact that the boy probably doesn't even realise that she was protecting him, he thinks that she locked him in there so she would be adopted and not him since he didn't know what would happen to those who were 'adopted'

I don't think it's fair to compare the two as they are very different in experience, the game is ment to make you scared and think to solve puzzles in order to progress, its supposed to make you look deeper into things and replay to unover the law slowly, as it wouldn't be a very good indie horror game if the story is all handed to you on a silver plater. The animation series is just focusing on a story and characters therefore giving you a completely different experience, it's ment to make you pity or feel bad for the characters for their backstory while using music to help convey emotions such as despair and sadness.
I think your just trying to say that interactive scary stuff is not your cup of tea and you'd rather watch a horror movie or something, that's okay though. Not everyone likes everything.

There’s actually an analog horror series called Harmony & Horror which somewhat has a similar setting but the story’s probably much darker

I just realized "I'm not a monster part 1" was a little different from the original. At 1:23, A picture of the girl & Huggy was placed in, most likely to emphasize why he was upset. Also, I've never seen part 2 before, but I noticed the end of part 1 was very different from the original. Instead of Huggy just falling and poppy finding him, with the video ending with experiment 1-0-0-6 papers, It ends with the girl running down to try to save huggy, and poppy saying "Mommy doesn't like guests" from the chapter 2 trailer.

huggy wuggy is probably the same boy that poppy was friends with, in 0:23 he looked really upset with her after he looked at her face and noticed her red hair in his pov, and after he did poppy looked so mortified. Him looking at the window was probably the animator foreshadowing his feeling of abandonment when he saw poppy getting adopted, and him thinking she betrayed him. At 2:18 we see the little girl protecting huggy wuggy, and poppy looked really frightened and had a flashback of her protecting her friend (this wasn't in the separated version and even if other people said that poppy was the last experiment they probably scratched of their previous plan and still decided to experiment on the boy, plus he was wearing the same blue pajamas that the boy wore when they first met). In 3:59 we can see the writings "THIS ISN'T MY BODY" written on the walls and that's also probably foreshadowing that the boy was going to get experiment on again and moved to a different one because he wanted to get bigger cuz he thought the girl would like him better. When he saw the girl picking up his previous smaller body he also really looked upset. At 2:48 there was also a drawing on the wall with the poppy doll body and the boy also probably saw that too.

Plot Twist: The Girl’s Father Is Actually The Other Test Subject Other Than Poppy, Explaining Why The Parent’s Wanted To Get Rid Of Huggy Wuggy Because It Reminded Him Of Poppy.
I can’t stop watching this. Every time it gives me goosebumps at how well the story is predicted. I really wish this was cannon because it’d make a lot of sense and connect to the storyline. People can be so creative and I’m here for it
I was thinking it would be a cool plot twist if huggy wuggy and kissy missy turned out to be the brown haired girl's parents. It could be like they found out the truth about what's been happening in the factory and tried to save the children but were caught and turned into toys themselves. The father could have sent the small huggy wuggy to their daughter when she was a toddler to keep an eye on her and look after her (We see in the project play time that huggy wuggy can make small wuggy). The people who thew the small huggy away could just be her adopted parents. Over time, the father begins to lose himself very slowly.

Like Poppy say her best friend in danger at 3:42 and decided to be chose as the final experiment and smile for their love like Poppy at 4:37

I wish this was canon, it has that “this is beyond f*cked up” vibe that horror games like FNAF and BATIM have. And that would answer many questions about the game itself.
