Traveler Loop | Baxter State Park

The Traveler Loop is a 10-mile hike with ~3,800 ft of elevation gain traversing Peak of the Ridges, The Traveler, and North Traveler. I just learned that they are the tallest volcanic mountains in New England! As much as I love the White Mountains, this hike stole my heart.

I grew up im Thurston, Oregon outside of U of O Eugene. Ran cross country. Best thing my coach, who was Vietnam Vet, ever told me was, “never think. Just run” Amazing how freeing that was. Just run
