Having owned both - the Axis is wonderful. The manual systems means you don’t have computers + water to break on you. The wave is awesome and the simplicity makes everything more fun and more confident. Thanks for sharing.
The Malibu LSV23 is my personal favorite wake of all! I've not been behind an Axis, but it sounds like that would be a great wake as well. Great video, as always!
Hey TC Gaming & Mems -- I would imagine that if you were to buy the boat - Darren might be able to make something happen for you :-) Thanks for checking out the video - hopefully you subscribed to the channel and follow us on Instagram @halflifet.5 Hope you get out there on the water!
Hey Dad Doing Stuff -- Great user name. Hopefully you do a ton of the things you love to do. The Slingshot was on a 61cm mast. The MFC was 70cm. If you're digging that foil wave you MUST check out our new boat settings for foiling. The game has Changed! I'd love to try these settings out on the Axis T23 - I'm sure it would work great. ruclips.net/video/wtf2tmPihfE/видео.html thanks so much for checking out our video. Please subscribe on RUclips and follow us on Instagram @halflifet.5 for more foiling, wakesurfing, skiing, and other content. Cheers! Tim
That foil surfing looks fun. I just don't want to spend $1200 for one. I think you should have included some surfing because that's what everyone is doing right now. But great video. I'd love to have that boat. I currently have a 2001 Natique 20 footer. It's fun.
Hey Justin - Thanks for checking out the video. I hear you on the price of the foil but sometimes you can get lucky on the used market! We actually had a wakesurf board on the boat but was having too much fun on the foil and ran out of time. That said - hopefully you could tell from the first wave wake foiling that it was a super clean wave with a lot of power and length. A nice size wakesurf window. Are you able to wakesurf behind your 2001 Natique? My 2001 Malibu Sunsetter Lxi works for Wake Foiling but not wake surfing.
@@nathangen Thanks Nathan - absolutely - there's no concern about having enough power, length, or steepness. Great wave. Thanks for checking out the video.
HALF-LIFE have you tried putting on a suction cup gate on the lxi. Really changes the wake significantly. I use a product called Suck Gate from Canada. Changed my wake on a 00 Maristar MC to a surfing wake
Hi Reg -- Thanks for checking out our video. The second wave foiling was the Slingshot Hover Glide 84cm. The first wave cut was the MFC Hydros 1250 with the KT Drifter Pro board. If you haven't already, you can check out our 84cm, 76cm, 99cm foil review here -- ruclips.net/video/aX0bHH9eQCo/видео.html. Please don't hesitate with any questions. We've spent a good amount of time behind the boat on most of the Slingshot foils.
Hi Cole -- I haven't been on the 2013 Malibu but I've wake surfed behind Malibus for a long time. If budget isn't an issue, I'd generally recommend the newer boats simply because ballast management and surf gates have progressed quite a bit over the last seven years.

Thanks Rick. Given that you’ve owned both, that’s great feedback.
Those wave transfers were amazing. Nice foiling and nice driving
Thanks Nathan -- Yep - that was the first time Nathan and I had wake foiled together and he absolutely nailed the driving. So fun.
The Malibu LSV23 is my personal favorite wake of all! I've not been behind an Axis, but it sounds like that would be a great wake as well. Great video, as always!
Thanks Wade -- Agreed - the Malibu LSV23 puts out a killer wave!
I still stand by axis is a decent value proposition, however all of the plastic inserts concern me from a longevity standpoint.
Agree on the value proposition. I haven't found a better $$$ for wave value proposition.
Thanks for checking out the video.
Best,
Half-Life Crew
Does the surf band come with the boat?
Great video by the way

Hi TC - I thought I had posted a correction....I think you mean the volume and wave control - yes - that comes with the boat.
Yes, thanks so much
What length mast you rolling on those boards? The foil options are amazing on that boat!

You saw the wave though, plenty to surf

Hey Evan
You and your boat are now famous! It's a good one so I hope you enjoy that beefy wave!
