I just added the Dual Delay to a scene - using your levels - a delay I never bothered with. Hey, it's fun! Thanks for a new world of noodling. :)

Is Axe II still worth purchasing in 2024?
I can't afford AXE III but still want to see how fractal compares to the Helix. Love the channel 👍🏼

i work with many professional and amateur working musicians and I gotta say that yes the axe 2 is definitely still capable of making industry quality tones. It is a great unit to be had for around $1k and it is still more capable in some regards than most of the other non fractal offerings. the main thing is total memory, you are not gonna be able to run 2 guitars and a bass through the axe 2 like a newer unit, but for solo recording it is a beast!! the axe edit software is great and all you need is some great presets made by people you like to get you started.

Other than what has been echoed in the comments, I think it's still a great buy for 2024. Of course there are other new things which you can't do in the Axe FX 2, but it also depends on what you are going to use it for. If you are recording for a track in a studio, I doubt there is going to much difference in the outcome in the final mix if you are using the III or the II. I can't say much about helix as I have never used it. If you are playing live, then yes some of the new features of the III are surely gonna help out better, but since I'm purely at home creating tones, I still feel the II knocks my socks off with what it can do, and I have so much still to explore in the unit!
