Giganta, in the comics, was really a scientist who was dying of a disease until she tried to transfer her mind into Wonder Woman's but her plan was intervened by Wonder Girl and her mind was transferred into the body of a gorilla until she transferred her mind into a size changing strong woman. In the Challenge Of The Super Friends Episode, " History Of Doom", Giganta had gained her ability to grow in size by stealing a magic powder from an Indian that gave Apache Chief his powers!
I wish there was more Giganta that found the middle ground between 'woman who gets big and is very powerful' and 'woman who is a total brute'. It makes sense she's muscular when they make her muscular and she looks great, but the whole animal print caveman vibe doesn't fit that well to me. She gets pushed into the 'use your brain for more than a minute and you'll outsmart her easy' kinda territory too much I think if Justice League gave their version more muscle, she would've been perfect. Her outfit there definitely had more of a goddess/royal type look which gives her a cultural visual power along with her physical power
In Justice League she is so strong. She dominates WW multiple times. Giganta in general is an underrated dc villain. She’s badass and is one of the strongest people WW fights against.
Giganta has a heroic Doppleganger named Power Tower i wanna say she fights superwoman who i believe is the evil Doppleganger of wonderwoman unfortunately for some reason we never got a tv version of Power Tower from what i can gather
