During the 1950’s I grew up within three blocks of the original Harley manufacturing plant in Milwaukee. I spent many hours looking through the windows as they were building the bikes. In those days, the bikes were tested on public streets and no one complained about the noise. I still remember the bright new paint and chrome as the bikes sat outdoors ready for shipping. A great sight for a nine year old.
In the 1960s I had an ex-army wla45 and I got all my spares from Fred Warr's still wrapped in military packing. Very friendly shop, even to an impoverished student.
As a history buff and a Harley fan, I want to go to London JUST so I can visit this place. Man it gave me chills just listening to him talk about the history. Instant bucket list item….
Awesome dealership purchased my fxlrs from warrs. It was a dream come true for me to purchase a Harley Davidson motorcycle from warrs. For me it's the nearest to actually purchasing a HD from HD directly from Milwaukee due to the rich history warrs has with HD.
BRO!! I have absolutely loved the entire London series. This one especially was almost emotional for me(big sap) just seeing the generosity and humility of the owner treating you guys with such kindness. Motorcycles are in my blood but this, this is why I love HD. The story and the history. There's nothing else like it. So glad you've had this/these opportunities and even more glad you've been able to share them with us. Keep livin the dream. BTW, I love the black and white shirt!
Got my 1st Harley sportster at Warr's in '87. Met John and his dad, Fred many a time. Gosh he's changed a lot since those racing days. Me too. Remember the old shop with a load of old bikes out back. Nice to head back there again sometime. Fabulous vid. Nice one. 👍🏼
Sportsters are my first love but he kinda skipped over it fast so didn’t get to see much of it. Did i hear him say they service older bikes too? That’s awesome. Great video thanks for sharing Blockhead!
I agree with your statement about some dealerships being a numbers game, I currently work (not for much longer though) for a Harley-Davidson dealer here in the uk, and its most definitely a numbers game for the franchise I work for, which is sad. The ground floor staff including myself have such a passion and love for the brand, but we get shafted at every turn by managers and the higher ups. I’ve met couple of the guys from Warrs when they’ve come into our dealership on occasion when delivering bikes in my area, top genuine guys, they definitely go above and beyond!
I'm not a Harley guy, outside of my fat boy I ride from time to time I stick with Honda, but I LOVE the history. It's amazing to see. Really appreciate you showcasing the dealer and getting an inside, in-depth look. The knucklehead has to be my favorite, even though like I said I'm not a HD guy, there are certain bikes that just have a place in your heart...that old knucklehead is it.
Just brought a road king special from Warrs myself, great service from the dealer, good to see you visiting a UK dealer 👍and with Archie, who hooked me up with me current Ruroc lid. Great content as always dude
Awesome vid and what you said about the heritage and love of Harley’s being lost sometimes really resonated with me, I managed to get a job working for HD, it was my passion and my dream job, or so I thought. I only lasted a few weeks as the drive for sales and following regs lost the passion for me during this time. I dreaded going in and so I had to call it a day. It’s so true what you said. I’m still obsessed with the brand and ride a softail so it’s a shame I don’t work for the brand I love. Great vid as I said. Thank you.
To say the C-10 was ahead of its time is the biggest overstatement I’ve ever heard. They were playing catch up for years with Indian and other manufacturers, Indian was destroying them at Le Mans and other races. HD promised a V-twin for years when Indian had already delivered multiple working models.
Hey block, contact Keenan tatro, tatro machine in California. If he can't find you a knuckle he can build you one from og parts he has.. He is the harley wizard....
Imagine if harley dealers in America gave a shit like this, or like they did back in the 90s. Man, I almost want to fly over there just to get parts and support these guys rather than my local morgue, er, dealer.
What’s your favorite bike at Warr’s Harley-Davidson? Drop a comment and let us know! 🤘🏼
The 1942 WLC for me.
I,love the 1946 knuckle head, great colour ,all original, superb, regards Mike Derbyshire ,England

Amazing to see a dealer that's been around so long, and that has so much knowledge and history. Good stuff!

If you work at Warr's you never work a day in your life!! Yude only need a week off each year to go somewhere to tell them where you work😎
Crazy how spark plugs haven’t changed in 100+ years.
