Freddie all I can say is Brilliant! But I got to tell ya. Warrs HD is not like a regular Harley dealer. Most Harley dealers don’t have old engines in the parts department. And they do not work on old bikes. Some might but from my experience they don’t want anything to do with them. I’m pretty sure if I rolled my 1948 UL 74 Flathead bobber into a Harley dealer they won’t know or want to fix it. And I’m sure they won’t have any parts laying around. Most usually do have some antiques on the floor for for decoration but it’s hard to find an old bike 10 years or more on the floor for sale. Warrs is a special place. And I’m so glad you gave me a tour. Thank you and Monica.
Just watching the warrs London video , fantastic place went there a couple of years ago as I have a 2019 cvo ultra which took me 40 years to get as I could never afford a Harley. Love your channel and enthusiasm for motorcycles, if your as it seems a Harley fan do what I did in Scotland and check out the Davidson legacy, I’ll leave it at that for you too research.
Past my test in the nineties and went straight to Warrs and bought a new sportster. The family and staff couldn’t do enough for you. Great to see them again. Cool video Freddie 😎
That is definitely one of your best films. I’ve often toyed with the idea of an H-D , now I think maybe I’ll …. . 😮 maybe I will - it’s the heritage and the longevity and the culture. Thank you both for a beautifully made and interesting film.
Freddie, your enthusiasm and energy in this video is contagious; you clearly loved every moment of recording this. It's just a matter of time before you finally call yourself a HD owner. C'mon, admit, you know you want to go there. 🙂
@@yanceyboyz It’s definitely not rude and I mean it only in jest. I think a few of these comments are bit over the top though. None of us know how we come across on camera and I certainly couldn’t do what Freddie does!
@@ChancellorBeeHaw but do you want some forced, scripted, BBC documentary.....or do you want a presenter who is like a kid in a sweet shop. I know which one I find more relatable!
Come across this channel randomly, haven’t got a bike licence but after watching Freddie’s content I’m wanting one! But just look at the excitement in Freddie’s face! It’s like all his birthdays have come at once. Brilliant!
I went to Warr’s last year taking advantage of a business trip to London. The place is amazing, the guys working there were super nice and I even met a member from the local Chelsea & Fulham Chapter with whom we exchanged lots of cool experiences. Thanks for the video Freddie!
I have just had the most wonderful hour watching and listening to John Warr talking of his life with Harleys , such great history and beautiful bikes together with Johns racing pedigree …. Wow ! .I will be watching this again . Thank you John. 👍
Freddy, one of my old-time classic nonfiction reads is "Hog Fever, travels on my Harley" written by Richard La Plante" released in 1995. It starts with Richard buying his first Harley's from Fred Warr, and then the subsequent stories of how owning a Harley becomes an obsession. I still read my very aging and well-thumbed book, when I need a good laugh. Read it, you won't be sorry (I see it is available on line).
Fantastic job Freddie! Warrs simply are the best 🏆 when it comes to all things H-D. There history & passion sets them apart from all the other H-D dealers across the globe. No surprise they’ve been going for 100yrs!!! Will you be attending there 100th anniversary celebrations in the summer?
Great video Freddie..Monica.. this shop is amazing, I knew it was historic but, it’s got to be up there for one of the best motorcycle shop in the world, parts warehouse too, brilliant!👊
For Christ sakes Freddie, I’m not available for the 100th anniversary party but really want to be there… grew up with Fred Warr as an Icon figure but John was really impressive and engaging.. settled down for your usual 20 mins so loved your latest longer offering. Cracking, well done again.
Ha. That photo on the wall of the workshop in the lates 50's 45:17... It looks like Freddie in the background on the left doing his tour interview!! Looking just as dapper as always.
I'm not that much into the "Harley scene" but let me tell you, what a brilliant journey listening to all these amazing stories. Bravo mr. Dobbs bravo ;)
I have a 20 year old Harley (bought from Warrs) and the one place that has always had the parts I need is Warrs. I can phone them up, ask for the part, they post it that day and I've got it within a day or two. No other dealership can do this!
There ain’t many of this type left (worldwide) HD Pfeifer in Kamen/Germany is one of them… If they don’t have it in stock, they know where to get it… These who are in business for a long time are this type of dealer, but Harley changed a lot in their dealership and many small old family owned shops lost their contracts 😢😢😢
A great film. Do not usually manage to watch many 50 minute You Tubes but enjoyed this all the way through. As a kid we all knew that Warrs in London were the only HD dealers until the changes.
You are a fantastic ambassador for motorcycling, your enthusiasm is second to none. Well done pal for a very cool and interesting interview, and bringing some insight to the younger crowd of the world’s most iconic brands…
When you were talking to him about the Live Wire Freddie i noticed you never told him you'd tried one and the trials and tribulations you had trying to get it changed. Very wise.
Bought my Low Rider El Diablo from Warrs, Dan who walked past you in the video was a star, in getting me my forever bike and still gives me after-sales advice, I was charged book price for a limited edition bike which if you ask the Americans is rare, as they always bump up the price. Great video from an iconic dealership.
Great video, yourself and Monica should be on major TV channel, you are such a fantastic interviewer and Monica a fantastic camera detailer and the quality is excellent thank you for a brilliant and very interesting video, and an interesting thing one of the Harley and Davidson family is from Wales and emigrated to USA..
I had my HD Electra at Warr's for repairs early -80s. Brought my bike from Norway to London to have it fixed. They did a good job! I cannot remember how I heard about Warr's, but someone advised me to go see him. Never regretted it! To see this video now makes me smile and rember those happy wild days!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I lived just round the corner in the 1960s with my grandfather a WW 1 veteran.ive had Harleys since the early 90s . Great to see the enthusiasm. Good luck to Warrs
Watching this video gives me a completely different image of Harley Davidson than the one that generally floats around in North American culture. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this!
I first visited Warrs in 1970 and it was a bit different then. Your video has made me realise that HD is an itch that needs to be scratched before I get too old to ride one. Excellent production by Monika 👍
Fabulous vlog Freddie!! Absolutely fascinating. The depths of John's knowledge and memory, are impressive. What a good guy he is - so grounded. Excellent work, I loved every minute. 👏
This was an absolutely excellent video Freddie! Being from the USA, I've never heard of this dealership until this past year when Blockhead did a premier at Warr's HD on his channel. It really looks like such an awesome place to visit and if I ever make it to that side of the pond, I will certainly be stopping there! What an amazing amount of history there, so cool!
Enjoyed the enthusiasm of Freddie and must go and visit the shop. I have never owned a Harley - in fact I only ever rode one in South Africa for an afternoon. What I love about Harley is the tradition, passion and loyal following. When we started our expedition Harley Cape Town gave us a send off even though we were on KTMs and when we finished the China leg of our expedition Harley Shanghai - the most amazing Harley dealer and club house I have ever seen - enormous - hosted a party for us - mainly because Fang Yi (Fanny) played Volleyball for Shanghai and China team and was the first Chinese lady to successfully ride across Africa independently. People don’t realise how trendy and stylish Shanghai is and Harley has an amazing fully stocked shop, bar, live music venue, cafe, accessories, club house, museum and workshop - puts many of the shops in America to shame. Has a cult following in China.
Great video Freddie and Monika . I can't believe I was not aware of this dealership before, then again HD are a sort of biking sub-culture and not one I have really been interested in although videos like this even peaks my interest in the whole scene! What a fantastic place and well done to the family for resisting selling the site to developers as it must be worth a fortune in that location.
Great Vid, I've been in the old shop 25 years ago, but only stood outside the current shop (it was a Sunday) I need to go back and look inside. Love the old bikes.
Dear Freddie you are most excited whenever you are near a Harley Davidson specially if it is a classic one. You need to have a classic HD besides your infamous Bonnie and a MotoGuzzi for a good measure.
Im a Yank in the States. The 20 years repair dealer rule applies to other brands as well. Im glad to see this franchise doing the right thing for older bikes! I ran the souvenir shop of the oldest dealer until the family finally sold. Their forte was racing. The fairgrounds near Long Beach. still do dirt track. I always felt Indian bikes were more sophisticated. The Livewire should continue Harley history.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video Freddie and Monika - well put together. Congratulations to John Warrs celebrating his families 100 years in business later this year 👍
