When I first started being a Patron to the project, it was to support you Leo... What you were doing out alone in the boatyard was so interesting and exciting to watch. Then, as you started to hire young shipwrights to help I felt so happy that my few dollars a month was contributing to them starting their careers and growing their skills. And now it brings me so much joy to know that those dollars are going to support all of these mature, talented, and dedicated career professionals. I just increased my Patreon tier a little, to help in a tiny way pay for Robert and everyone's work on the spars and all the other work going into this boat. As much as, Leo, you are doing a service as a Boatyard Manager and as a Video Producer/Editor... I think the service you are doing by taking folks contributions and distributing them out to your roster of local artisans is also a real gift to us as contributors. It really feels like the money is going somewhere important. Thank you for all of those things, and Merry Christmas to you, and don't forget to get some rest from time to time!
While I enjoy watching many channels on RUclips, there are no videos that I anticipate quite as much as updates from the Tally Ho project. Sincere best wishes in 2024 to Leo, his immensely talented crew, and to all members of the community who have supported this remarkable project.
Nice to see the Blue Sea Systems equipment in there. They make a great product & have great support from their head office which is not far away. I've tried other electrical suppliers but the quality & ease of servicing these panels are great. I also noticed that each breaker is tied to a separate terminal block so you don't have to undo the connection(s) at the breaker (a real PITA!). I don't know shit about a boat, never even been on one, but I watch this and another popular one. I've noticed here that there is a lot of modesty and lack of drama unlike the other boat. As a bonus, Leo's hair is an accurate gauge of wind speed/direction.

From the boatyard in Brookings , Ore to Port Townsend Washington what an epic story . With you walking thru and giving Us an update I swear I'm so happy for you Leo it almost brought a tear . I have been following the Tally Ho Rebild from the beginning. (I didn't know what I was getting myself into!) I never miss an episode and find it all fascination. That said, at 74, I don't think I will ever follow anything like this again. It is once in a lifetime event for me! Beautiful work by each and every craftsman. As a woodworker I am and have been in awe of the crew you’ve been able to assemble that are without a doubt a level above the rest. I know other woodworkers watch these videos and are easily impressed with their talents. Truly inspiring and a lot further north of what I’ll ever achieve as a craftsman. But I don’t feel bad, instead it puts things in perspective to me. You reap what you sew. Enjoy the content and the journey. Merry Christmas to all of the crew as well as your viewers.
It was sad to see how poor shape Tally Ho was in the beginning way back when, basically a “total” in auto insurance parlance. But now we are seeing pieces of her coming back to life in the brightwork and trim, not forgetting her transom, too. Beautiful, to say the least. A tribute to her and the people who built and have sailed her. You and your team are worthy of much praise and respect as both fine shipwrights and preservers of history. 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻 Merry Christmas to you and your crew! 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻
These little videos are making me always feel like there was nothing wrong in this world. So many good hearted people doing such a great Job without complaining about anything. Merry x-mas to all of you and your viewers 🎅
No doubt this channel is the class of RUclips. I can't imagine what this boat will be worth when finished since EVERYTHING is of the highest quality, but I expect it will be a large number. I'm happy to make my modest contribution and always thrilled to see the next episode. As an aside... I love seeing how Patrick has blossomed as a shipwright. My guess is that he will be part of the crew when Tally Ho leaves Port Townsend. No doubt this will be Leo's passion forever, but I sense it could be for Patrick as well. I can imagine the videos they'll create at sea to share with all of us. There is no reason this journey needs to come to an end for those of us who love Tally Ho. Thank you Leo.

Check out Black Water Waubuno. Great maritime fiddle music from my home waters. I look forward to hearing that beautiful instrument played on deck. Tally Ho!
Leo and crew, I’m very happy to see that you can use so much of the 120-year-old (or so) teak planks for table tops, bunks, and many other applications. HNY, cheers.

I picked up a fiddle in an auction in Detroit many years ago. As a long time P-bass player, what could be so difficult, they both have four strings. I've been watching this since the beginning and two things strike me, the first is your commendable dedication to accuracy of finish and second is your uncanny resemblance to Wallace from Wallace and Grommet. Top job fella, hats off to you 👏 😪❣️
Thanks to all of you for sharing this journey so generously. The boat could not have ended up in better hands and is sure to catch everyone’s gaze wherever she sails. Happy Christmas!
You even went out of your way to matcht the pitch of the router at 11:38 with the music.😂 The attention to detail on the build as well as the video's is almost scary.
What a beautiful Yacht. This is one of the worlds most beautiful yachts. And the team that has been working with this project is and has been fantastic. Thank You for sharing this project with us.
I’ve had the pleasure of sailing under a couple spars built by Doug J, you’ll never regret the circumstances that lead you to those spars. I own an old power boat and I would love to have a spar I’ve been dreaming of built by him.
I call myself a woodworker and enjoy watching other people doing woodworking on RUclips. The level of skill and professionalism that you and your team of amazing craftsmen demonstrate is astounding. Happy Holidays to all of the awesome people working on this wonderful project.
Having lived next door to someone who was learning to play the violin, I can tell you that during the learning process you will keep much more than pirates at bay. Pretty much anything with a working pair of ears will keep a wide berth! Keep up the fine work.
Getting an overall view is a wonderful gift. Thank you. I requested this last week, and you delivered a beautiful video. Feliz Navidad to Leo and the gang.
The attention to detail is unparalleled. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it before, this content is not only highly entertaining but very inspiring as well. Cheers!
Merry Christmas to all who follow Leo and Tally Ho. I had no interest in boat repairs until I found this channel. Leo and group do such incredible and beautiful work.
I got hooked on this project 10 minutes in. Leo is a real inspiration and proof that chasing your dream can achieve amazing results. His knowledge and craftsmanship as well as his dedication to keeping a very esoteric set of skills alive speaks highly of his character and his obvious love of all things related to boat-building and the nautical "arts"-
**FOR B Roll: go out to the docks and look down at the parts that are constantly underwater there's cool sea life growing like beautiful red sea anemone. They feel you walk and are still but if you wait a while there's lots of movement
Merry Christmas to Leo and all who have brought Tally Ho so far. Every bend, surface & corner is a separate work of art, built with heart and dedication to the beautiful things in life. Tally Ho is a testament to persistence, community, and a lot of hard work. Well done, everyone.
I know it's been said before but I think it needs to be repeated, this boat construction is closer to fine furniture making than simply rebuilding a boat, the crew all have so much woodworking talent it is hard to imagine some are quite new to the art, Leo is an immensely talented person and it is rubbing off on his workers, there are many boat building channels on You Tube but Tally Ho is leaps and bounds ahead of them all as far as finish work goes. The overhead shots in the yard are proof as the vessel stands out amongst the other boats.
Happy holidays u guys and kudos to you Leo. Won't forget when many years ago I've seen this guy all alone building a shed around a rotten vintage wood boat on youtube
I've often remarked to myself that the quality of the work on Talley Ho is just short of parquetry. There's no way that the original could have had such excruciating attention to detail in every particular. I'm really looking forward to see how you and the crew are going to bung her up. I eagerly await the day when I can wish you fair winds and following seas.
Happy New Year Leo and the team. Only two years to go to the launch day now :D I've recently discovered that my great aunt was housemaid in the Strange household in Scarborough. She'd married and left several years before Tally Ho was built but I like to think of Great Aunt Edith taking Mr. Strange a cup of tea in his study whilst he worked on boat designs
Hi Leo, I have been a loyal watcher since the start. I have been amazed by all the work and all of the good people who have helped. It renews my faith in man to know there are so many good people who all working for a common good. I guess my love of boats and the sea keeps me coming back. I am an old man now and would love to be in your shoes, but for now I can live through the videos and feel excited for you and your progress towards sailing the oceans of the world. As good hard working and honest people you deserve all the best as well as those who help.
Bravo to you and the crew, past and present! Wonderful to see so many skills and great team work at play! Well Leo, "teamwork" really is making the "Dreamwork", congratulations on such a fantastic "Old School" effort, as an old man, I enjoy watching the old way things were constructed, mostly by hand, such wonderful craftmanship being done on "Tally Ho", by so many enthusiastic people, even though there is a long way to go, you have already come a long way 👏👌👍🙂

Wow! That electrical panel is beautifully done. Matching the quality in craftsmanship of everything else you guys have completed.
At 22:20 Leo's hair looks combed.
Still the best production on any media platform. Cheery Christmas.
The skills of Keith Rucker and his friends amaze me.
This never gets boring.
I have to say Leo, I’m getting anxious about launch day I believe TallyHo will sail beyond your expectations
That panel installation is beautiful.
I’ve had the pleasure of sailing under a couple spars built by Doug J, you’ll never regret the circumstances that lead you to those spars. I own an old power boat and I would love to have a spar I’ve been dreaming of built by him.
A violin has strings, a fiddle has straanngs. Merry Christmas Leo and the whole Tally Ho team.
An upper shelf library with ladder mobility like that.
This is one of 3 channels I’m religious about watching. Merry Christmas Tally Ho Ho Ho. 🎅
The attention to detail is unparalleled. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it before, this content is not only highly entertaining but very inspiring as well. Cheers!
Every time we see the systems on this boat I’m amazed at the complexity! Fantastically neat wiring too!
Merry Christmas to all the team. Every time I see and hear that electrician I'm just blown away by his skill, he has done an amazing job.

TALLY HO HO HO ....
Loved all your work this year 🧡👏
Merry Christmas to all who follow Leo and Tally Ho. I had no interest in boat repairs until I found this channel. Leo and group do such incredible and beautiful work.
I got hooked on this project 10 minutes in. Leo is a real inspiration and proof that chasing your dream can achieve amazing results. His knowledge and craftsmanship as well as his dedication to keeping a very esoteric set of skills alive speaks highly of his character and his obvious love of all things related to boat-building and the nautical "arts"-
An amazing vessel built by some amazing craftsmen.
Only two years to go to the launch day now :D
I've recently discovered that my great aunt was housemaid in the Strange household in Scarborough. She'd married and left several years before Tally Ho was built but I like to think of Great Aunt Edith taking Mr. Strange a cup of tea in his study whilst he worked on boat designs
Even us watchers feel like we are part of Tally Ho. Kinda like watching a child grow. God speed!
What a brilliant surprise on an Australian Christmas morning. Many thanks Leo.
I am the largest shareholder of a sixth generation 'skills based' company in the UK (who also work World wide), and this project is such an inspiration. Wonderful team, and wonderful team leader - Leo! Happy Christmas to you all!
Well Leo, "teamwork" really is making the "Dreamwork", congratulations on such a fantastic "Old School" effort, as an old man, I enjoy watching the old way things were constructed, mostly by hand, such wonderful craftmanship being done on "Tally Ho", by so many enthusiastic people, even though there is a long way to go, you have already come a long way 👏👌👍🙂
merry Christmas to the good people of Tally Ho ! Enjoy your break and see ya next year !
The recent work to date is the best example of top master craft wooden boat. Must plan for turn over!
Really great, everyone! So amazing one of your viewers giving you that incredible piece of Lignam Vitae. Thank you for sharing Tally Ho with us, happy holidays and all the best to you through 2024!
Seeing your crew gone made me think back to a time when I worked for a Seventh Day Adventist and there was, no damn Christmas. He said..."Get back to work"... The lot of us packed up our tools and left. No Brethren amongst us. Ho ho ho.
Merry Christmas Leo and the team. Can't wait for you to arrive here on the Solent.
Me neither. Bro in law lives in Swanick and sails on the Hamble.
I built a humble 52f ketch with my brother, we both watch this channel. Mainly for the beautiful woodwork. And I mean the woodwork on the hull itself.I was a joy to see
Merry Christmas to you Leo and all the crew doing brilliant work on Tally-Ho! 🎅😀
BRILLANT! (Fred Klett, comedian)
Thanks!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
StaySafe Everyone🎉

If anyone is wondering about the diffrence between a fiddle and a violin.
A violin is less likely to have a beer spilled on it!
You will have to learn to play the fiddle and become the "Master &Commander "sure we all know Jack !!😊😊😊
got my coffee lets build!
I've been watching since you first pulled Tally Ho into the first workshop. When I think back to then compared to where she is now it's almost unbelievable. She's beautiful.
