This is a perfect example of a DOORMAT who sees all the red flags, ignores them, accepts a jobless husband, goes on a honeymoon, accepts to live with MIL, allows MIL to insult them to the core, and yet allows them live on their money, effort, and time. You call such people the best DOORMATS ever made.

Chrissy said she was 58 in the beginning, and Wade is revealed to be in his 40s at the end. Either Chrissy was lying about her age, or Wade was born when she was just a teenager! Not the point of the story, I know, but it just jumped out at me.

The opening killed me. MIL giving the poor DiL crap and calling her ugly, and getting the most passive aggressive "to me you're fat and ugly too" replies back is just gold. That's how you handle a person like that. give as much as they are ready to dish out to you and see how they like it. don't let them think you're a push over.

Most women are in their own right after they are 32 to 38 years old. My husband told me that he’s going to have to get another girl still in her late teens and train her because she will figure things out in her own time. He said that he might have to settle for mid 20’s after that because he will be too old to train another girl again. He was 10 & 1/2 years older than I was at the time of me meeting him. I was 19-20 at the time. I’ve never remarried after being married to him. His ex wife hasn’t remarried either. The one before me.

@@teresafinch7790 Sometimes these stories take too long to get to the important details, and the protagonist didn't mention that her keys weren't working. 2/3rds of the way through video isn't when she should be bringing up changing the locks.

@@teresafinch7790 I would agree, but the story had a little too much filler for my tastes. That's kind of been the case for the last few actually.
Don't get me wrong, I love the channel and most of the stories, but the overuse of some of the variations of lines like "why would I lie" and "we are strangers now" and a lot of the circular filler conversations, have kind of killed my patience.
The Prot's first words should have been something along the lines of "Can you open up the door? My keys aren't working." Instead, the conversation goes on almost another 6-7 minutes before the subject of the locks comes up, and only brought up and talked about by the almost-MiL.
I kind of hope the writers aren't suffering from burnout to keep the pace.
3 incomes would have been really nice, I bet, in that 1 household. Thanks for waking me up Chrissy. Why does no one talk to each other in the ways that count instead of determining who's in charge?
