In case anyone is interested this market is best on a Sunday. Go at around 8am. Pre-covid it's 4-5 times larger than in this video. Live music as well as face painting/finger painting for kids. Great way to spend an hour or two, and a must do if you haven't been before. My favourite food there is Lucky's Vietnamese creme caramel, and Mum Mum crispy pork! Chiang Mai is my home town.
thisis perfect. I hope every administration of every country watches this to understand that markets and malls can be safely opened if safety precautions are taken care of.. its not that difficult. unless people go out and buy stuff the economy will not move. a small Country like Thailand has so much to teach. Its commendable that every person here is taking it as personal responsibility to take all the necessary precautions. you guys are amazing.
@@curtin-hammett awesome... we in India are getting frustrated with the lockdowns and again intermittent lockdowns !! many are getting into depression, many have lost jobs , many on lower pay checks. Here in Mumbai trains and metros are our life line which has been shut down since March !! not everybody can afford a car or a bike to move around. many depend on public transportation and if every individual takes responsibility and care of just himself or herself everything can work smoothly. this virus might never go dosent mean people will sit at home indefinitely. everybody is craving for some food or the other and both street food vendors and restaurants did thriving business as this is a city always on the run. its depressing to see so many restaurants closing permenantly. Some have been around over 60-70 years. we grew up eating from these places and now we can do nothing but wait for things to be normal which we have no idea when.
Mark, my family loves your vlogs but please wear your mask esp while talking to vendors. I'm sure your followers would understand even if you're talking with your mask on. Nice vid.

Mark, please get in the habit of keeping your mask fully on. One can clearly see that you are the only one in that market constantly removing your mask (to expose your whole face) as you narrate. Yes, but he could be pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic. So all mask precautions need to be taken by everyone when in a public space and breathing in close proximity to other people. Let’s just hope Mark takes more precautions in the future as he is traveling more than the average person in Thailand thus increasing his risk to exposure & in turn exposing other people.

Superb vlog Mark, and love it that you speak the language as well. Keep the videos coming and stay safe.
I like how Thais cut mangoes, anyway i have videos about THAI EXOTIC FRUITS too,
Mark I'm in quarantine, and I am so happy to see your video it brings good positive vibe to my current situation. Thank you.
mark i love your content but ask that you please keep your mask up ... you are inadvertently putting other people at risk (of course not intentionally!) just for the sake of good audio.
I love to
Lol are you serious
I'm hoping to be travelling to Thailand in February for my 60th Birthday, I can't stop watching your videos, they're amazing. Thank you so much for doing what you and your lovely family do.
Veronica. Xx
Mark, you need to wear your mask properly.

I understand why it’s quite relaxed now in Thailand.
The country has been pretty much covid free for over a month.
you are so rude yaniar hernandez you telling Mark to put his mask on properly
Maybe he`s not the smartest
Hi mark, big thanks for gottting us on tour market.
Oh this was filmed just this month? Thats some nice masks :D
They are his own design I think, cool huh?
not doing much with his mouth and nose exposed for the entire video. might as well not wear it!
Our local farmers market finally will open tomorrow ( fist time since Covid19 ) and they usually open in April. Can't wait to go and support them again ! Another great video Mark and family!🤗 That is an impressive MANGO 🥭 🥰
I'm here in Chiang mai,for some people who worry about Covid 19 here. We no have case for more than 2 months and no one left in hospital anymore. We wear masks and washing our hand just for basic protection. From overall just 1 an old lady die from covid. thanks.
Can't stop eating and watching!
That Mango!♥
The mask is not just protection for your self and family, it is for every person you are coming in contact with.
Amazing video Sir. I love such vlogs and thank you for bringing such good content. I showed your channel to my boyfriend and now he too love your work.
Thank you so much Manali!
No use wearing a mask if you're going to pull it down on your chin.
These kind of mask dont even work for covid 19
We don't have Covid here but thanks. We are already way more cautious than Europe or US.... and no new cases for 55 days.
Let others believe this mask doesn’t work.
It works in Thailand and we are enjoying our life now in a country which is pretty much covid free.
They laughed at us the first few months we were wearing mask.
Now they are following what we did, but almost 6 months too late.
I’m in the US and we certainly have no room to criticize. I’m at risk from immunosuppression and many people here say people like me should just die 😢...and I’m a doctor.
@@ytreece u went to medical school for 9 yr...show us why.. don't let what others say about u affect u if u know it's not true..Thank for being Courageous during this time..ur Amazing..For helping out ppl that are going through these tough times..
I'm so in love with mangoes😍😍
Glad I'm watching this, the oyster mushrooms one of my favourite thing in soups and the purple rice resembles waakye. Thanks Mark. Lots of love from Gh.
Please keep your mask on to protect others
Love you guys!!! Stay safe!! Lots of ❤️ from the 🇺🇸
Mark putting on and off his mask next to people exposing them. So much for precautions 😅🤢
Exactly I don’t se the point of wearing face mask is don’t going to used properly when he travel to so much exposing people to the virus 🦠
Everyone enter the market got their temperature checked, hands washed, and probably did a prescreen test. Mark is in the market so assumingly his temperature was fine and he showed no sign.
Yes, but he could be pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic. So all mask precautions need to be taken by everyone when in a public space and breathing in close proximity to other people. Especially at a market. Let’s just hope Mark takes more precautions in the future as he is traveling more than the average person in Thailand thus increasing his risk to exposure & in turn exposing other people.
One of the few times I've been disappointed in Mark and his interactions with others
Yeah, that irked me the whole video (except when they were eating at the table) and just made me feel disappointed in Mark. :-(
Mangoes my favorite fruit beautiful video
U r amazing.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
That mango looked amazing. One of my most favorite fruit.
