I feel like its so rare to see a medical professional who has not experienced the illness themselves, take interest in conditions like ME/CFS. Thank you Dr. Lesler!
This is so good! It really helps to understand why the body goes into these protective mechanisms. Learning body wisdom has been such a key aspect for me in making progress. Thank you for posting these videos. They're a game changer
Thank you for the medical explanation and guidance. I overdid over the weekend and I’ve been paying for it with PEM and what I used to call chest pain, but now know it’s anxiety. Long covid/ME CFS twins can be very difficult to live with.
Thank you both so much, Toby & Olivia ... this makes a great deal of success. / sense ... We are all unique & appreciation of this fact make a whole heap of sense too... Im on it straight away ! Can't wait !!? and also have a deal of patience... a day at a time is the key also. Many thanks and Kind regards...
I am about to be evicted from my home with the uncertainty of we’re I’m going to end up! There’s a big problem in Liverpool England with homelessness. I need to be able to try and deal with this major stress I have my two little chauauas and I feel guilty about them!
@@CFSHealth This video was incredibly informative and helped me better understand my CFS journey. I’ve suffered from CFS for years and experienced the worst crash of my life in September and October. Despite seeing countless specialists, none ever discussed how much my brain plays a role in this condition, this is my biggest takeaway. Your ability to simplify complex topics is truly remarkable, and I’m so grateful for your openness in addressing this illness. Here in the USA, it often feels like modern western medicine either leaves us to figure things out on our own or relies on medications to merely mask the symptoms. You’ve given me hope for recovery-thank you Toby and Dr. Lesler! 😇😇
Im going to bible study this morning. After 7 years of suffering i desperately seeking God to help me endure or heal me. Im still getting pem after doing too much in bed all day terrible symptoms every week. Im just stuck.
Good stuff ty. Can having a shower puts u over your baseline ? Even with a shower chair ? Can you talk abt showering Toby ? It seems to be a huge energy drainer and such a long process ...i am in the cave ...appropriately but for weeks not a week ...at mo. Like how u talked abt that
Hi! Just a thought… you might want to look into what Dr. Simon in Germany has been studying. Lifting your arms above your shoulders can be a big challenge, so you might want to just wash your hair for a few seconds at a time and then stop and rest your arms for a while and relax and take deep breath to make sure you are getting good circulation to recover before doing a bit more. Also, some people have to make sure the water is not too hot.
I tried them at the beginning, (too them for about a year) and it gave me some 'time out' from being so worked up but they also made me feel disconnected from people, my family, my children, everything. I was stumbling though things but not feeling anything, which I missed. So if you need a break by all means give them a try but they don't solve the problem, they just alleviate the extreme quality for a while.

Hi! I was wondering if SSRIs would help with chronic fatigue.

The captions are hillarious
Deep breathing to relax.
Although the stress and frustration may be the same, I rather be looking for my car keys than being torn apart by a sabre tooth tiger ;)
