Much respect for hitting all of that stuff with the gusto. That place was so much gnarlier than I expected. I loved it, but it was rough on the old bones. 😅
It looks like there is a lot of new stuff there? Like the wood jump into Carolina Cruiser and the rock slab shortcut line over the berm in Carolina Cruiser? Also the new jumps on Show and Go? Are they all new or did I just miss them all previously? Nice video. Thanks!
Oh man I was initially thinking Down South and Show and Go looked sweet and I should try them but then I saw how flat the camera made Harescramble and Supernatural look…and for me those trails are really difficult!
Awesome riding man. You handled those lines like a pro! Love the Santa Cruz!!I want to go here soon what is the specs on your suspension(Fork and rear shock travel)?
Damn this looks so sick ... And you've always been good since I've been watching but seems in the past few months you've leveled up. Just seem a bit more confident and comfortable on your Nomad.
Yeah, this guy is incredible. He's got a a great eye for line and really young for showing amazing precision and control. Definitely go pro effect and Chris making it look easy can have you up there looking down that line going.."wtf!".
thanks for the video - Are most of the trails at sugar that rocky? Im 55 and on a hard tail, so Im looking for some relatively smooth trails - any of those at Sugar? Thanks!
What made you go with the nomad mullet vs the full 29er Megatower!? I have the V2 Megatower and love it but I’ve never tried a mullet set up. What’s your take on it ?
@@chrisburns460i wanted to get the oxblood Nomad but it was at the start of covid and Santa Cruz said "hopefully" 9-12 months for my size/build ... Couple months a Mach 6 came in and I jumped all over it. Still MUCH prefer the maneuverability of 27.5"
I'm not a fan of Sugar. The trails have features but flow is difficult, the timing is wack. I prefer trails as systems rather than piecemeal type of development. There is a ton of wasted space. Like off camber roots and rock gardens with fucked up flow timing on features - then this one's for you.
Yeah Chris! Like butta. Ugh. I gotta ride more. Just got my freshie yesterday. Haven’t even burned the brakes in yet. I’ll message you about riding. This is gonna seem lame. But I’m not very tech. How in the fu@k do I send you a DM?
Thanks dude!! And that’ll be rad, new bike day is the best! And shoot me a message on Instagram, my username is the same there as it is here. If you can’t figure it out you’ll probably see me in headquarters or out on the trails at sugar 🤟
@@chrisburns460 solid. Yeah. I’m one of those weird guys who has no social media. That’s why I sold my place. Left Santa Cruz and moved to beech mountain. Nice and quiet

Appreciate it!! Glad you liked the trails!!
Awesome riding man! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it!
That place looks sick! Great riding. Some of those trails remind me of Mountain Creek in NJ. I like that feature at 8:27
Thanks dude! Yea we do have some gnarly teck!!!
Sick riding thanks for the video. Gonna add this place to my to-do list.
You should! It’s running great this season!!!
Awesome. Great video. I've got to get up there
You should! It’s running great this season!!!
Made short work of Sugar, well done. Excellent riding!!
Thanks Scott!!
🤘🤘🤘
Hell yea! 🤟🤟👊
once again, making it look easy ;) nice riding!
Thanks!!!
If you're ever driving on 81 you gotta stop in Blacksburg to check out a couple trails there. Mainly blunderbuss and wavelength.
Thanks for the tips! I live the 181 trails in Morgantown, I’m sure the ones up in VA are just as good, definitely added to the list!!

We added them this spring! They are new for 2023!!!
Sick
🤙🤙🤙
Great video!
Thanks!!! 🤟
Those whistle pigs own the mountain dude
Dude for real 😅
I still think it's absolutely madness that people ride that rock garden on Show n Go
It’s a gnarly one 😅
Oh man I was initially thinking Down South and Show and Go looked sweet and I should try them but then I saw how flat the camera made Harescramble and Supernatural look…and for me those trails are really difficult!
They are definitely worth trying out!! Just take that first run down slow and careful!
Awesome riding man. You handled those lines like a pro! Love the Santa Cruz!!I want to go here soon what is the specs on your suspension(Fork and rear shock travel)?
Appreciate it bro!!! And it’s got 170mm of suspension travel front and rear

Thanks!!! Yea I definitely feel a lot more fluid on it haha 😂
Just got back from Sugar, I hit every trail including the Donny's Dungeon (Double Black) no problem, but definitely not as fast as you! 🤣
Nice dude!!! 🤟🤟🤟
Thanks for all the line options I never see. 😅
Of course 😉😂

The green run is pretty smooth the whole way down!!
What’s better to spend two days at sugar or beech
In my opinion a day at each would be perfect!
Most people prefer to spend more time at sugar if given the option though

My Megatower plows the downhill but I feel like I’m turning a bus on super tight switchbacks that can be found on pilot rock out at Pisgah
I actually have full 27.5” front and rear! Just like how the small wheels turn and feel in the air!
Yea I like the little wheels for the turns

I honestly haven't ever ridden there, even though is not very far away for me.
You should try it out!!!
How much is the park fee?
50$ for an adult day pass!
@@chrisburns460 not bad thank you
Since that single track sampler guy started using that term “youuu” it seems like everyone has to copy him. Not sure I get it.
I don’t either haha
