We can do without Sen. Cruz making his token appearance to register his presence. Deregulating electric power was the single worst thing ever done to the consumer of electric power. Most of the delay in power restoration is due to lack of expenditure for maintenance of the system while charging the absolute maximum price they can extort from the consumer.

Brazoria county citizens haven't heard a damn thing from anyone in any city about help with food, water, ice, electricity being turned back on, and water being restored back to homes. Reptured gas lines and damaged powerlines are a bad combo. In Freeport, there are several locations where this is present, and reports of the problems like these have been reported immediately after the storm hit. Not one single city official, first responders, or utility company has come to the aid of dealing with serious life-threatening issues like those. Thank you to the workers who are out there working tirelessly to fix everything, but this is a very poor show of how the citizens come first by our elected officials. So far in Freeport, businesses have gotten priority over the thousands of citizens without power, running water, and direction or even a single word from our leaders of our cities or county. What is really gone on and why isnt anyone making it a clear point to make contact with the citizens of Brazoria County in regards to releif efforts.
