This kind of blog is so lovely, ahh how fabulous Carrie, please do more of these.... the joys of theatre I love playing the part of the audience so hearing about the cast is really where the magic of theatre lies... 🎭Xxx
I love this, u should do more audio stuff ur voice is so great. I grew up in theatre and i have to say my favourite moments were always backstage rather than on stage. Those are moments I remember and cherish the most.
And this is why i work in theatre...the true magic happens behind the curtain!! Memories that last a lifetime and friends that quickly become family. Theatre are truly wonderful places to work in.
I love this! It's much easier to enjoy the blog this way when my eyes just won't communicate what's on the page with my brain. Listening to you say it is so much better than having to fight with my brain and try to read it with your meaning and inflections.
Yes! Not only is this so interesting, I love that it's audio 😍😍 so often I don't have the time to watch or read blogs/vlogs so having it as an audio is perfect 😊 xxx
This makes me miss being in theater so much. Spent 7+ years doing theater from middle school - early college. I haven't found a way back into it since. I have yet to get cast at any audition I've gone to and now I just moved to a new area and haven't found a way to get information about any of the local community theaters. From the magic on stage, to the magic backstage, I miss it all. So much...
I love seeing your job from your perspective, I never thought the musical theatre can interest me at all until I found your channel, thank you and I can't wait for another backstage vlogs, until then I'll be rewatching The Addams Family Tour :D I adore Scott :D
Gahh I just love this! I just opened my first show in New York City and I’ve been thinking a lot about this kind of thing while I’m backstage. I really love this style of vlog/blog. It’s so great to hear your inflection as you talk about your memories.
Oh man, this is so real. I'm the Red Queen of Hearts in an immersive show. I have a tantrum during the trial scene when the audience is on trial and when I'm tired I drink so much caffeine to work myself up for the yelling.
I love this, I'm not gonna lie though a few times whilst I was watching The Addams Family I did wonder what funny things were going on backstage and wishing I could also be a fly on the wall.
Carrie, I know u already do a ton of creative projects, but if you ever do a podcast I would love it! I could listen to you talk for hours on end. American actor/comedian Dax Shephard has one that I adore called, "Armchair Expert" and it's basically just him chatting with his friends (mostly other famous actors and comedians) about whatever comes up in the 2hours they are together recording. You could do something like that with your family, friends, and castmates from shows past and present. I can just imagine laughing my head off listening to you and Jonny Vickers or Scott Paige (or both at the same time!) be silly for an hour or two on a podcast. Or a long convo with you, Tom, & Gi about growing up, your creative pursuits, or whatever else is on your minds at the moment. Just a thought incase you ever decide to add another amazing project to your plate! =)
This is a brilliant idea to do an audio blog. Have you thought of doing a podcast. You could do them with other cast mates telling stories and discussing theatre 🎭 . I would definitely tune it 😊
Not gonna lie, hearing you read your blog is really relaxing. Just a thought, but have you ever thought about starting a podcast? Not to add to your list of things you already commit time to, but it'd be cool to hear you read more of your blog entries or talk about your experiences with theater (even though you already do all that in your vlogs). What I really mean by all this is that I enjoyed this vlog! Thanks for sharing :)
