I was lucky enough to recently meet Tama on an investigation in England. His passion and knowledge on the paranormal is incredible! Thanks for taking the time to talk to me on the night :) Can't wait for the next episode!
I went to this place for a tour and I got a picture taken in the corner of a food storage room in the cellar. There were no ghostly figures in the picture but that night, at my aunty’s house, she was on Facebook and someone had posted a photo of them standing in the exact same spot as me and hanging from the corner of one of the shelves was a ghostly figure. I’m only 12 years old, so this terrified me. I’ve been to other locations that were said to be haunted and when I was five I visited the gardens at the Beechworth Asylum and ended up having a panic attack and not being able to sleep for 3 months. If you don’t beleive this story, please don’t send any hateful comments and sorry for such a long comment.
Wow, pretty awesome! Same here... took a few photos at a house for sale in Yelm, Wa. on my first still picture video... in front of a bush... 2 ghostly figures are standing, staring at me or the camera..
Wow! That's an incredible story! We hope you are now okay. It's great that you're showing an interest in the paranormal at such a young age. Keep an eye out for new content SOON! ITU

They were locked up in these places not because they were suffering from mental illness's - but becacause of their "LOW MORAL STANDARDS" - Around 30 years ago I worked in a psychiatric hospital and I met an old woman who was 99 years old -This patient had nothing wrong with her a part from she was institutionalised? - She had a baby at 18 - And was a admmited to these asylums -Eventually moved to workhouse's all her life locked up just for doing what comes natural ? - Her child was taken off her and also spent his life in an Asylum -Then when old enough sent to a work house - simply because he was born out of wed lock & it was assummed he too would have "LOW MORAL STANDARDS " - locked away out of the public gaze on the same wards that real crazy people were locked up too ! - I always found it so sad ! - That her life was taken away from her !
That's truly shameful. Poor Woman and I bet there were hundreds of them with their Children that endured that terrible treatment. How can some be so cruel ??? 💔💔💔
How sad and awful. Yet on the opposite end of the spectrum, nowadays the logic is just the extreme opposite. They let anyone roam free because they're over 18. Weirdos, sex offenders, maniacs, serial killers, perverts, stalkers, drug & drink addicts, thieves, & al kinds of incorrigibles. I don't understand why there can't be a common ground or set of standards.
Brilliant documentary. Very professionally done, and you guys were so easy to work with and so passionate about the subject and the facility. Thanks for everything, and best of luck to you. You deserve to do really well with this series. Can't wait for the next episode.
I went to the Beechworth Asylum last week end. Nothing happened as such however it was very very spooky. I do recommend the tour. The places they said things had happened to visitors were indeed where I felt particularly freaked out. I did feel nausea in the treatment room too.
I knew the care taker there in the 90s, he lived on site, went over for tea and lots of alcohol one night, then he took me for a tour through the place with nothing but cigarette lighters, nothing really happened at all except we got half pissed. But then, if I was a Ghost, I doubt I'd wanna hang around those cold old mouldy places, either.
Ya'll are doing great work but stop the music and growling and wispering etc in the background especially when you are saying that ya'll are hearing something..
Hi Chris, Thanks for the comment. We understand the frustration and confusion with some of the soundtrack ambiance being mistaken for potential EVPs or sounds. We make a conscious effort to display all sounds that we believe to be supernatural throughout the production, so there's not grey areas with what we capture. We will definitely take this on board for future uploads. Thank you for your honest feedback! ITU
I went on a ghost tour here and whilst standing next to the autopsy table I developed a sudden sharp, stabbing pain in my left ear and numbness going down my neck on the same side. I also began to feel nauseous but as I left the building everything that I was feeling stopped almost immediately. It was an experience I'll never forget.
37:52 I've been in that room and that door has unlocked completely and swung open, with the tour guide running from the other side of the room ripping it closed immediately. You must not let the spirit that's in there out, there's a reason it's locked in there.
Unfortunately not, but I believe it would be due to horrific reasons; you could just feel the room just drop as soon as that door started opening. Whatever reason they're locked in there for, they need to stay locked in there.
I have three separate things to say about this place. First thing is my godmother came here with her friends once and her friend was also scratched down her back badly. Apparently they were in a room where the guy was know for scratching people. I still remember them showing me the photos. Second thing is my neighbours who are an absolute lovely couple used to work here as nurses. I’m pretty sure they said it was terrible place. And lastly I did a tour here with my mum, her friend and daughter. I was around 10 or so and begged mum to go. There was one story they told us about a resident that has stuck with me until this day 14 years later. So a resident went missing for about several weeks and despite desperately searching for him a resident dog who’s name was Max was found chewing his leg near the grounds entry. This led to them finding the residents body up in a tree. He was most likely trying to escape. His body had been up in that tree for so long that his leg had fallen off. This was also why there was a horrible stench going around the hospitals grounds.
You seem to have had a quiet night in there. I was in one of the rooms on tour and felt like I was going to faint. Thats just one of my experiences there. I grew up in beechworth and used to explore this place most weekends. Ive never had a "normal" experience there.

I'm surprised that there are not more videos on this asylum. I came to this video after seeing a ghostly still image which was captured at this asylum. I previously went here with my class for a school camp gotta be one of greatest things I’ve even done and gone too now we where there from 7pm to 2am, I’m surprised I didn’t get scared but then again if you knew the people in my class it’s hard to get scared around them as we’re always joking around. We did get some in counters other then that, I definitely recommend going as it’s something different and interesting to do. Plus our tour guide was utterly amazing and the character he put on at the start was so well done (We watch a horror movie, got a tour, then did something’s with the equipment to try and contact any spirits for the last 2 hours)

Also, don’t you get scared that one of these things will follow you back home? That’s what I’m always afraid of and people call me an idiot for believing in that and not religion but I’d rather not take the chance. It’s so scary to me to think of a demonic entity following me back to my house and haunting me there.

I previously went here with my class for a school camp
gotta be one of greatest things I’ve even done and gone too
now we where there from 7pm to 2am, I’m surprised I didn’t get scared but then again
if you knew the people in my class it’s hard to get scared around them as we’re always
joking around. We did get some in counters other then that, I definitely recommend going
as it’s something different and interesting to do.
Plus our tour guide was utterly amazing and the character he put on at the start was so well done
(We watch a horror movie, got a tour, then did something’s with the
equipment to try and contact any spirits for the last 2 hours)
That sounds incredible, Hayley.
We were fortunate enough to meet some of the fantastic tour guides who work at the Beechworth Mental Asylum.
Keep an eye out for new content SOON!

Awesome production guys. So much activity caught on camera! Looking forward to ep 2.
The adrenaline could be caused by stress or being scared, it’s a normal feeling to get lol. But really liked the spirit box convo
I've been on a ghost tour there it was very interesting but I did not feel any energy anywhere they took us...and I'm pretty sensitive to it.. took a heap of pics not one orb anywhere but well worth it..
Beautiful old historical place scary spooky
Thank you!

Interesting..
Lol my old school is made in an old part of that. It was the Beechworth Montessori. Haha
Pretty good show 😀 but please get your audio sorted, it's really hard to discern what is being said at times. Otherwise top notch keep it up 👍🏻
I can’t wait to go here and do a night ghost tour! I arrived back from Port Arthur a few weeks ago and it was soo much fun, you guys definitely have go do a ghoul hunt there too. New sub from Melbourne 👍🏽 I look forward to more great vids.
Thank you!

brilliant - but I would drop the background 'music' to below voice level - it's so distracting (been in the business for 24 years)
Also, don’t you get scared that one of these things will follow you back home? That’s what I’m always afraid of and people call me an idiot for believing in that and not religion but I’d rather not take the chance. It’s so scary to me to think of a demonic entity following me back to my house and haunting me there.
Just get some sage and cleanse yourself with it, you’re supposed to cleanse yourself with the smoke
If this is actually your own content, I Hope you make more videos. My not being sure if this is actual content you made is s compliment, it’s really well done so it’s surprising it’s a first or only video. Well done.
Hi Andie!

I’m very passionate about paranormal and ghosts and haunted places around the world 🌎 I’m a true ghost believer and I’ve believed in ghosts for over 40 years now 5:06pm
Love the emphasis on the history. A lot of ~professional~ TV shows really skimp out on that.
The interviews could've benefitted from some close ups. I like the use of interior shots as they talked
I think inclusion of some records of the hospital (if even available) would've been neat!
Thanks Amrea!
We put a lot of time into learning the history of our locations to better understand what could be haunting these old buildings.
Keep an eye out for more content!
