OK! After viewing half the video - I've noticed there's none or very-few high way proper-lighting? & I hope large lit & non-lit billboards & LED adverts & information displays will be placed on sides & over-head bridges? Basically it'll help long journey to be less-boring! Thanks for doing needed educational video.
Nice video Chris, i am extremely impressed with The new Highways Jamaica should be proud. I will be there to see it all one day. Just one question, why are the inner roads so rough looking? why can't they resurface those roads?
+drewski The primary reason is cost. Jamaican has extremely high debt and literally the most austere budget in the world. No other country has a more austere budget. Austere budget essentially means a very high proportion of government revenue goes towards paying off debt. That hardly leave any money to do things like resurface roads, but they try to do is keep them pothole free
Chris thanks for the reply I understand a littler more now. The Government may need to be a little more innovative, maybe initiate a Government Bond program for road infrastructure. I hope they do not raise taxes on Motorist I think you guys pay enough in toll road fees & vehicle fees. Again thanks for the upload Chris, seeing the Country move forward is very gratifying.
+chriskill08 Thanks for the video, and your video was great. Helps me to plan my travel time between Clarendon and Ochi. 45 minutes travel time, wow!! what was your average speed?
Natti Dread lol. I also drive pon the 'white man road' ( highway 2000- east to west/old harbor by pass), and I also drive pon the 'black man road' (most other roads in Jamaica, including the ones full of pot holes)
Thanks I thoroughly enjoyed the video.... Those mountain scenery are so beautiful, reminds me of Denver...

good video, but theres literally one rule to the highway, keep left, pass right..
+Jordan Chatoor I know, but I always prefer the lane closest to the center divider. Its just a thing of mine....
+chriskill08 lol okay, thanks for the video.
+Jordan Chatoor just make sure to move out of the way for faster cars behind you if you do stay in the right lane.
@@jordanchatoor it's the opposite in America faster cars pass on the left
The songs were putting me to sleep!!!!

+drewski And stop robbing the coffer. Nepotism is rife there. Two political clans run the country into the ground
Bob Marley music (timeless)
must call it the Robert Nesta Marley Highway
HW begins at 0:39 and ends at 46:10. The rest of the video is the drive from the end of the HW to Papine
+chriskill08 Thanks for the video, and your video was great. Helps me to plan my travel time between Clarendon and Ochi. 45 minutes travel time, wow!! what was your average speed?
+AFN41 Average speed was around speed limit. I never drove more than 10KM/h above the speed limit bcuz I didnt want any ticket from the cops
That's why you should stay in the left lane mate - I saw a empty trailer passed you about 4:00 ish. Appreciate your work but please drive safely.
U DRIVING PON THE CHINEY MAN ROAD.
