- The Snare is protection against porch pirates. The Snare’s patent design and high-quality material make the package extremely difficult to remove from the wall.

So... package thieves aren't very strong?

And if it truly can't be cut, expect your wall to be damaged. With your package being gone.
Like, if ,out really want to get your packages securely, pick them up at distribution centers and/or post offices. Track the package by code and when it arrives in your area just go and pick it up yourself. Common sense really.

The police confiscated it from my from porch for some oddball reason… among other things l might mention but l won’t.
A mail box how genius 😮
well there are almost infinite number of delivery people, some part time, some just holiday hours, and they can't all be given a key to my lock box.
Why not just have civilized people like the other 18 industrialized countries out there? Here in germany you don't have to worry about that
(Unless you live in Berlin or FFM)
I think the box is made up of hardest material ever😂😂
Dumbest idea ever. A simple box knife is all you need to open up that box.
Mailboxes....... But they would need to be bigger
Actually, if it's standard box tape, you just need to compromise the tape at the skot, and open the box. Worked at Walmart.
Nearly every lock can be easily bypassed with the proper tools. Adding any amount of difficulty to snatching a package will deter the vast majority of these thefts.

Stupid idea.they just cut the box.remind me of the movie history of the world, how to build or start a fire. Ha!
I know right? What tha???
Package thefts are usually crimes of opportunity. Nobody’s going to put a box cutter in their pocket and go “alright, now let’s go walk around and see if someone happens to have package on their porch right now”
Have you ever seen a porch pirate in action?
They literally do a snatch and grab. This is designed to stop that. The last thing these theifs want to do is be standing on your front porch cutting open boxes.
You make it as inconvenient as possible so the theif will pass on your house.
Based on your thought process, why put locks on doors. When you can break a window and enter the house that way.
Most package thieves are looking for a Fast snatch and grab. Not wanting to have to cut open the side of a box. Yes some will take the time to do it. However, I would bet that at least 50%-70% of them won't take that time.
As a Canadian I have never seen that device before, neither do I have a issue with package theft🤔
Your country is fucked
Depends on where you live. Here the delivery guys don't knock, they just drop, take a picture and walk away so there's a lot of packages stolen.

Canada also tells homeowners to leave car keys outside their homes to make it easier for thieves
McNally has a few words for that
In Brazil, packages aren't left at the address and are only delivered to person.
Furthermore, it's Ok to receive a package where you work, especially if you live in a situation which nobody would be at home in standard delivery time.
If it's really a major issue, a developed country like Canada should adopt this process.
It can't be done because the volume of packages is so much greater in Canada and the US. While you can choose where it's to be dropped off, the amount makes finding people not cost effective.. in Brazil people avg 11 packages per year. In the US and Canada it's over 150
@@bwsimonson They don't find people, they leave the packages at the address but someone need to be at home to sign and receive the package, if nobody is home they drive away, the person get at least 3 delivery attempts before it gets sent back to sender.
Some people put the delivery address in their work to receive it there.
Here they never tried this method of leaving the packages unnantended outside because it would be stolen imediately.
@@bwsimonsonoh then they can make a delivery spots like in Poland. You just put adress of the nearest one and take your package anytime you want with a code you get on your smartphone. Usually they are placed close to shopping malls so when you go shopping you can get your package. Tadaaaa

Just putting aircraft in front of something does not make it better. Aircraft are not best known for their steel. Might as well have said aircraft donuts. 😂
Here in Hungary, you can order packages in mailboxes. These are steel lockers with door compartments and the delivery person just puts your package in it, and you get a code on your phone that you can use to open the drawer containing your package. You can pick up your package 24 hours a day and there are enough lockers to always have one nearby. And you can also send packages at these lockers. Of course, if you order to your home, the package will be delivered directly to you, not just left on the floor.
