  • So now my nitrates are 0.... phosphates are .06. Really need to get a stable level now. On the flip side my seahorse is doing really well!! :)

happy Friday .! Hey you might need to take the Reefmat offline. It could be working extremely well that you’re losing all of your nitrate and phosphates ! I’d stop for few weeks and see. Good luck and cheers !

Thank you for watching! I actually did not think of that? I was always trying to keep the sump clean. Thank you for the suggestion and thanks for watching!

Hi Eric, stable and sea horses looking good, cyano starting to clear and if there's any green alage left in tank it could be consuming some nutrients so just take it slowly with the heavier feeding, usually what is happening now is the result of about 2 weeks earlier keep calm and happy reefing

Hey Jim! Thanks for watching! Yes one thing I have learned in this hobby is to take it slow... no drastic changes! Thank you again!

Stop dosing NP bacto balance and feed more or use Tropic Marin plus NP

Your parameters are very good for the most part. I would continue with the Tropic Marin NP Bacto Balance and increase feeding the corals and fish a little bit more. Reef Roids and or Pellet food is rich in phosphates and nitrates. That should bring your nitrates and phosphates up slightly. I would consider 5-10 ppm Nitrate & .03-.10 Phosphate perfect levels. Heavy in Heavy out is what Josh from World Wide Corals preaches about nutrients.

Thank you for watching! I do have Reef Roids so I will start feeding the corals as well. Hoping to get their color back soon.

Hey, how do you like the Marine Master vs separate Hanna checkers?

Hey there. Thanks for watching! So far I really like it. Very convenient have just one instrument in the cabinet instead of multiple. I like how fast it zeros before taking the reading. I found the eggs to be a bi slow there sometimes.
Comes in a case so it's neat and tidy to keep everything all together. No issues with it at all. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks for watching.!Yes seems to be the popular consensus. I'm going to start using Reef Roids again as suggested in one of the other posts! Thanks again!

The balance will not raise your levels. Feed more

Thank you for watching! Yes agreed and I will bump up the feeding to get the levels back up. just surprised that they dropped all of a sudden.
