Stones that large were moved around easily by the beings who made them!! It is Hubris to think prehistoric people lacked the means to do so. Regular sized bricks are easy to make, transport, and use in large projects, and for beings to use such large stones in construction means they were able to build with them
I don't think it was moved. The gigantic ones I think were formed. Then after it hardened to was it is. Those stones look poured like hot liquid. Puffed out too like marsh mellows. The design to it each wierd cut is for stabilization for earthquakes. That's how they have been there so long. They were made to last forever. I thought the same thing. They were heated into a liquid form and poured into place and the lines are just drawn on indentations while still lukewarm, so as to give the appearance of block by block form and placement. The way we play with clay today.
I'm surprised this wasn't picked up upon! The materials that were used to build many of these structures were only available 1500 miles away from the build site. They weren't built in place...not most of them anyways.
