I honestly think people were comparing Mega64's GAMEZ ALIVE with RLM's Nerd Crew because the Nerd Crew podcast is a recent thing RLM had introduced. Honestly both Mega64 and RLM had the same idea but just executed the joke in their own style resulting in 2 different funny videos. I'd like to think the comparison was because of the timing and not because people are so petty

I think the only reason people accused y'all of "ripping them off" was simply because they recently released a parody podcast series making fun of nerd culture and in particular crate services. Essentially, RLM popularized this notion a few months ago and when people saw that you were doing something similar, they unknowingly assumed it was a rip off.

The Kirsten Dunst video feels self-aware, probably why it hasn't been made fun of very much. Apparently McG directed it with her just for fun while they were filming something else there in Japan.

You all should check out the movie Coherence. I've been listening to your movie discussions and based on what you've liked I think you guys should check it out. Great movie to watch with friends and speculate about. Think Primer except the main characters are more relatable. Probably the most criminally untalked about movie IMO.
